First of all, the "Irvington Baptist Church (IBC)" is called "Crossroads Church of Fremont (CCF)";…read morethe latter name is what is advertised at the physical location. How the two names are associated is confusing to me. In any regard, the activities at the church, CCF, seems to be well received by the community and the multiple-services are actively attended by members and welcomed visitors/guests. It provides what appears to be a wholesome product to the community. It has been presented to me as a "non-denomination" church, and recently, I was surprised to be made aware that it is associated with "IBC"? On occasion, I have attended services and activities at CCF as a visitor/guest and agree that it provides a valuable service to the community. I also understand that CCF is supported by donations and extensive volunteer services of its membership. The CCF/IBC has been involved in a long-term fund raiser to finance a new multi-utility building at its present location on Fremont Blvd. to compliment their existing facilities. Currently, procurement of a $40 million loan is being pursued to finance the construction of the new facility. The new addition appears to double the size of the present accommodations and will be able to provide more activities and enhance existing activities. The activities at the church seem to focus and cater to adolescents and younger children and emphasize the concept of family, consistently. As with many organizations, there seems to be an underlying, subtle element of politics. I cannot be sure if this is intentional or just what occurs when numerous people congregate together. Overall, the CCF provides a service for the community, and hopefully, this is an equitable return for all the members that volunteer an enormous amount of time and effort to contribute to this association.

Unfortunately, the overall experience is often disrupted by behavior that simply does not belong in a place of worship. Many of the priests regularly sit on the steps with their backs to the deity, blocking the view of the Gods, engaging in loud conversations with people they know, which is extremely distracting for devotees. On multiple occasions, some priests have been observed taking personal phone calls while seated there, with their backs turned, engaging in casual video and phone conversations with friends or family. A few times, I have even noticed a priest sitting on the steps near the Shiva lingam, absent-mindedly picking his nose, surrounded by devotees deep in prayer. This is not about expecting perfection, but about maintaining basic decorum and respect in a sacred space. Additionally, several families allow their children to run freely inside the temple, treating it like a play area. Many people come here seeking silence, focus, and comfort, often while dealing with difficult personal situations or serious health issues. The constant noise and uncontrolled movement take away from that experience. I genuinely hope the management addresses these concerns by setting clear expectations for priest conduct within the sanctum and reminding families to supervise their children. With better enforcement of basic decorum, this temple could offer a far more meaningful and peaceful experience for everyone.

What can I expect for a Sunday service when I arrive to Bridges Community Church located in…read moreFremont, Ca? Well, for starters, Sundays begin at 11am and our Church is a non-denominational self-functioning traditional Christian Church, or part of the E.F.C.A. We believe in God, Jesus as His Son and the Holy Spirit as the Trinity and the death and resurrection of Jesus on the Cross for our sins and eternal Heaven and life with God for the saved. There are light refreshments available on campus at Church on Sunday mornings (lemonade, water, coffee, tea, donuts) and three main buildings A, B, and C; B having a recently renovated children's unit. The English ministry is in building A, and it usually goes a little something like this: 1. Praise and Worship, 2. Sermon by the Pastor, 3. Prayer and Announcements, 4. Excusal and buildings C and B also include Mandarin, Filipino, Deaf, Telugu, and youth services as well as Special Needs Bridges Crew. I personally love going to a Church where all are welcome, no matter your walk with God, whether doubting, fledgling, there is no clear-cut Christianity in my book! You either are for God or you're against Him. Because God loves me so much He sent His Son Jesus Christ, born of Mary who was a virgin and the Holy Ghost's power and He really is my Savior, Messiah, Savior, Light of my Life, Light of my World, and God gives me the strength to carry on in a burdensome world. We can ask for anything in Jesus' Name and if it aligns with God's will for us, He can make it happen! God loves you!! There is nothing you have done, said, thought, nothing at all that can't be erased at the Cross at Jesus Christ's blood on the Cross, He defeated death and rose again 3 days later so we can spend Eternity with Him in Heaven! That, my friends, is the good news of Christ Jesus. That is our Gospel and our Good News. Thank you, community, family, for fellowship, for loving and praying to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Jesus, let's keep us all accountable and dig into God's Word, the Holy Bible not because we are forced to but because we want to. Thanks for the grace, mercy, compassion, love, faith, thanks for everything! See you Sunday!
