After we called Coyle's office to cancel, John Coyle called and said we could have the same coverage we've had all along for $530/year less if we switched from a 6 month to 1 year plan. Clearly, this was a ploy by Coyle to keep us as customers. As an agent who we trusted, why didn't he alert us if we were truly entitled to this much of a discount? In a follow-up phone call he had no viable explanation for over-charging us except that he was always working in our best interest. We've cancelled all our policies with him. While probably not criminal, this is certainly blatant unethical behavior on the part of an insurance company.
