Loved it here, it was like homemade food with love. The goulash was good, dumplings as well. The daily soup was lentil soup, also great. I wouldn't recommend the lemonade grape because it's quite bitter and sour. The poppy seed cheesecake was also amazing ! A beautiful vegan restaurant close to the castle. We were lucky enough to get a table on the rooftop with a fantastic view of the castle. Service was excellent and the meny had about 10 different courses. I had the goulash and my friend had the GF burger. It was all delicious and we loved it. I like to pride myself for liking all vegan food but this place personally good but wasn't great. I was very hungry and Prague is known for being cheap so I already planned on eating two meals wherever I went. This place was a little more expensive than expected but nothing crazy. I order the rabbit burger and potato pancake special. The burger and potato pancake were both very good but the sides for each were bad. I haven't tried much overall of the vegan selection in Prague, but this may be one of the best spots! I love the variety of then menu and would try anything on it. I ended up getting the satisfaction burger, with the patty made of quinoa, chickpeas, and something that had a slight kick to it. It was topped with beetroot, onions, avocado, pickles, and two sauces, and came with little baked potatoes. It was amazing! I loved the flavor profile and diversity despite not being a fan of pickles. The baked potatoes were a little bland but the messy burger allowed me to dip them in the sauce dribbled on the plate. It's a little tough to get to, halfway up or down a hill and then up three or four flights. It's a pleasant journey as it's filled with nice-smelling candles all the way up. It's in a tourist area, but the inside feels far from touristy in the little attic. I also ordered black tea, which I had no complaints. The music was an eclectic mix of '60s psychedelic rock, which I could appreciate. Pricing wasn't too bad, however when paying the waitress reminds you that the tip isn't included, a sneaky guilt trip they include for tourists. read more

I am disappointed to write this post because I had high expectations for this place...but I strongly urge you to eat elsewhere, not only for your tastebuds but also for your health. Putting aside that my friend and I both contracted food poisoning, which turned into a parasite and stomach infection that is now on its 11th day and put us both in the hospital, the food was also bland and lacked flavor. We ordered the Avocado app to start (which was good..but it's somewhat hard to mess up putting avocado on a cracker), the Czech stew, the traditional Czech platter, and the fruit dumplings. The Czech platter had an assortment of buckwheat and grain sampling sized portions and the stew was too thick and I really have no clue what was in it. For those wondering how you can contract food poisoning at a vegan restaurant: bad rice, raw vegetables and fruit that are old or poorly prepared are some of the primary culprits of carrying food diseases. I know this could be an isolated case but it certainly doesn't make up for the fact that it happened. I wouldn't wish the way I've felt for 11 days on anyone. read more

This place is laughable. Menu is horrible. I say this with confidence because I tried almost everything. First off portion is tiny. I got 4 starters thinking they would be my dinner. After four huge plates were piled on my table I still didn't think the meager amount of food on those plates was enough for a proper meal. Homemade spelt bread tastes stale. Double hummus has good taste but texture is chunky. Baked mushroom caps are literally just baked mushroom caps with no seasoning. There is vegan cheese sprinkled on top but it adds nothing to the dish. Beet carpaccio tastes exactly like the mushroom caps because, again, the only seasoning is shredded vegan cheese. The restaurant offers only 2 salads - one green salad, one lentil. I got the green salad and there was almost no greens in it - more like 2 parts chopped bell pepper 1 part tomato. Because the starters I got were so dismal I asked for the menu and decided to get some main, and decided to try the raw zucchini noodles and beetroot burger. The beetroot burger is the only tasty dish I received, but even there the bun was no good. I did enjoy the tartar sauce and baked potatoes on the side. Tempeh bacon in the burger was delicious as well. Raw zucchini noodles has become a generic dish at vegan restaurants now because it is so easy to duplicate - you spiralize some zukes, blend some cashews, basil, olive oil and pine nuts together, mix in the noodles and serve. I also got ginger tea which, according to the waiter, was just ginger, lemon and hot water, and after I finished my first cup he asked me if I wanted a second, when all I needed was just some hot water. I could have made everything on the menu myself with better taste and presentation. What's laughable about my experience was that I asked for everything to go to be polite because food tasted horrible but I didn't want to waste it so I thought I'd see if anyone on Charles Bridge was hungry and looking for food, and LoVeg charged me extra for the take out boxes. read more

What an amazing place! The owner and staff are so welcome. It may be a mysterious place going up the flights of stairs lined with candles, but commit! Do it! The food is lovely and healthy. I have had the coconut curry (100% eat it), the fresh bread, the garlic dip, the rice dish, and the Czech tempeh dish. They are all lovely, I don't think you can go wrong at this restaurant. I read the reviews after eating there and the restaurant experience we had was superb and nothing like what the poor reviews describe. The food was excellent, the staff friendly and courteous including answering questions about the food and history of the building, the food arrived quickly and was amazing. We had the gluten free burger which is tomatoes over eggplant on a bed of au gratin potatoes, go figure but it was amazing. We also had a Thai inspired rice dish that was different and inventive. I did some research on vegan restaurants in Prague after deciding to visit for the weekend. LoVeg was one of the first I stumbled upon and it was in quite a good location so I convinced my friends to try it with me. The restaurant has a very small entrance and you had to climb a lot of stairs to get to the actual restaurant. We chose to sit outside because it had quite a nice of view of the Prague castle despite the weather being a little chilly. The waitress was very nice but because of a technical issue, they forgot to process our order which they only discovered after we complained that our food wasn't getting here after more than 30 minutes. However, they were very apologetic about it and the entrees we ordered were SO delicious. My GF eggplant burger was super tasty and the potatoes au gratin were even better. It was creamy, from the cashews I believe, and full of flavour, balanced out with the fresh tomatoes and wilted spinach. It wasn't oily at all, which I appreciated a lot, and the portion wasn't huge either. My friends ordered a Nasi Goreng fried rice and the Thai green curry, which were both delicious and they both enjoyed a lot. The food also paired really nicely with Rose. Because of the order delay, the restaurant gave us a complimentary raw raspberry cake. The cake wasn't the best raw vegan dessert I've ever had but still quite good - we appreciated the gesture more than we did the cake. Came here last night with my boyfriend for dinner & we had a lovely meal. We started with the bruschetta and the avocado tartar-both delicious! We practically wiped the plates clean. For our main courses we ordered the lasagna, the Andy Warhol Burger & a Cesar salad. We absolutely loved the lasagna and salad, so much flavor! As for the burger, we'd pass next time. After being told it would be hard for me to find vegan food in Prague, we learned about a good vegan restaurant near the castle. Vegans didn't disappoint. I was delighted to be able to eat vegan versions of traditional Czech food, and my dumplings and stew were delicious. My omnivore husband had many bowls of meat goulash while we were in Prague, but the one at Vegans was his favorite. If I'd had more time in Prague I would have returned here for many other meals. I'd have liked to try the burgers. The people at the next table had a couple of the burgers and they looked great. As a bonus, the music was awesome. Mostly Bruce Springsteen and David Bowie.
