A smallish place with some clothing, novelties and a wide selection of sex toys. The place is clean, it's not one of those places with video booths and stuff like that. The prices are ok, cheaper than what you'd pay at Amazon for similar products. Only problem I had was with the return policy - apparently they don't accept returns unless it involves a material defect in the product. Unfortunately, when we were there, the retail worker strongly implied we had about 30 days to return something as long as it wasn't wrecked or soiled or anything. Put that to the test and it wasn't so. Tried to exchange an item for another model of that item that was the same price. No go. No refunds unless defective (it was underpowered, we hadn't actually used it, just turned it on when we got home). Went back the next day to exchange for the stronger version of the same product and was told no returns, no exchanges. The original worker that told us we could return it was there, along with a second worker who held the line on the no returns. Looked over at the first worker who had originally told us it was returnable the day before, and she just had a deer in the headlights look. I didn't make a stink about it, but make no mistake, we were misled. Other than that, it's an alright place. Ended up buying the stronger version and will try and dump the other one on eBay or something. read more

Incredible visit, they required masks AND PROVIDED EXTRAS?? Which i've never seen but love the reinforcement. I'm glad there is a store local where you don't need to worry about your safety while there (you know what I mean). This was my first visit and we were greeted upon entering the store. Up to this point, it was a 5 star visit. The salesperson struck up a conversation with us. She was very nice, but she proceeded to follow my husband and I around the store the whole time; constantly handing me items. I understand that she was trying to be helpful, but she came on a little strong and it was a little overwhelming. We ended up purchasing something, but we felt that we couldn't comfortably look around the store. I would like to visit again, but it would have to be a less stressful experience. read more

I'm bumping them up to four stars purely for customer service. While I still feel their selection is a three-star review as far as variety, they did see my Yelp review and contact me for resolution. The store's management made arrangements for us to exchange the defective WeVibe at a totally different store (not even same chain) that is much closer to where we live. They do have a selection of products, books & novelties that are perfect for couple or solo play. Our first time in the store was 2/26 and we went pretty late at night, around 9pm. When we walked in the employee was on the phone and greeted us. She stayed on the phone the entire time, which is fine, we didn't have questions or need assistance, but I would think you would ensure the customers who walked in were familiar with the store and didn't have questions or need assistance. The first toy I bought was defective. They accepted the exchange and I chose to purchase a more expensive toy. It was my fault for not opening the box and inspecting all the pieces as the second toy, a rotating Rabbit, did not come with wall charger. The device cost $160 and it doesn't come with a wall charger?!? I tried to return it as I am not going to have it sit next to my computer charging with the usb cable it comes with. However, they don't except returns. I understand their reasoning, as I could have used the device. That being said, I know that the device didn't cost the company $160 to make and if they would accept returns from unhappy customer, they may retain more customers. They will not receive my business again and I will spread my unsatisfied experience with my toy loving friends. Velvet Box, you should know that a bad experience with company travels fast among friends. I recommend you change your policy or you won't be making customers for life. As a business person, I know it is all about customer service. You could learn a thing from Nordstrom as they are praised for their customer service and willingness to accept any and all returns.
