I can't speak for others who hired Venator to do other types of work which may be totally different than the work I required. I hired Venator to install a 4" channel drain that was to replace an original 28 year old 1" drain that was no longer adequate to collect heavy rains and move it away from my patio. While Venator's proposal seemed to be promising to provide a much needed improvement, the end results were a big disappointment. A concrete opening had to be cut in order to receive the new Spee-D Channel drain along a 25' section of my concrete patio, but they cut the opening too small. They proceeded to trim the Spee-D Channel on the bottom to make it fit into the undersized opening, which compromised the integrity of the plastic channel and wasted time focusing on the retrofitting process. All they had to do was to cut an additional 2-3" strip from the concrete and the drain would have dropped into place as the instructions suggested. After numerous attempts to inform the owner, who refused to visit the site to inspect the work, he insisted the job was being done by "Industry Standards". His main communication was via Text. I kept him informed of the shoddy workmanship with the hopes he would come by to see for himself. That was not on his agenda, even after expressing my dissatisfaction with the job as it was proceeding. I was not given a dedicated day for the work to be done. It seemed like my job was fitted in after the workers finished on a previous job. The two workers showed up at 6pm on day one and worked until 8:30pm. Not being able to finish, they had to return the next day at 3pm and worked until 8pm. The two worked hard doing their job but it seemed like this was an exploration, not a familiar experience for them. The left photo is what the installation should look like if done correctly and the right photo is what was installed, after having to cut the bottom flange on the channel drain to force it into the opening in the ground. Unfortunately, you never know what results you will get from a vendor until the job is completed. I am sorry I hired Venator for this job and I do not recommend him for this type of work. read more

After checking the good rating on the BBB website, I contracted with Venator Solutions, to install a flagstone patio. The patio was beautiful until the grout bubbled and crumbled a few weeks later. Hunter, the owner of Venator, was responsive abd twice attempted to replace the grout. However, the grout should not have been replaced in freezing temperatures. Again it has crumbled. I have reached out to Hunter over a month ago several times with texts and photos, also filed with the BBB. He has not responded. I have paid nearly $15,000 in full. Owner never delivered the estimate despite multiple follow ups and more grace than most would offer (4-5 reminders). A costly mistake, not just for this job, but for the tens, if not hundreds of thousands in future work that could have followed. They say 80% of success is simply showing up. Unfortunately, showing up to look at a project means little if you disappear when it's time to follow through. It's hard to succeed at anything in life when you only give 20%. read more

Having the land by my driveway and in the backyard starting to wash away got me in a retaining wall mode. Checked the BBB and called Venator Solutions. Hunter came by to discuss, and was able cut down a tree, fill a sinkhole, dismantle a rock wall and replace it with a paver one - all in one day. His team did a nice retaining wall next to my driveway to restrain the embankment, and then put a wall across much of the back yard for the same purpose (with my dry creek bed going through it). Hunter showed up, liked over the requested job, left and emailed me a quote. completely detailed on demo & build. Due to terrible weather, we communicated on dates and reschedules if & when needed. I needed some lawncare service in Marietta GA near the Kennesaw border. The job was for sod prep and maybe sod installation (I initially planned to DIY the sod installation) for my front yard.
