Venice Auto Body brought out their specialist, and he explained in detail the difficulty as well as the process to make the paint adhere and be smooth like the body. But assured me it could be done. Just picked up my Jeep Grand Cherokee and was shocked at how well it turned out. Absolutely can not tell where the damage was. Completely exceeded my expectations. It was detailed inside and out including the tires. They took care of the, sometimes, difficult insurance company completely. This is the worst body shop I have ever seen in Venice, the reviews really get you. I waited 9 months to get in because this was the only place with all good 5 star reviews but man was I wrong. The owner physically smashed into my car while he was in possession with his own truck. So not only did he cause my car more damage but he took an extra 2 months to fix my car and also refused to pay for my rental for the extra time even tho it was completely the owners fault. That's not even all of it. My car is not fixed correctly it's missing small pieces the paint it messed up there are scratches all over my car. My windshield has over spray all over it so I now have to get that replaced and HE STILL MADE ME PAY 2K OUT OF POCKET AFTER HES THE ONE THAT HIT MY CAR. long story short you will be hearing from my lawyers. I had backed into a post with my 2015 Grand Cherokee and the lower rear quarter panel appeared quite damaged and scraped. The guy I talked to looked at it and told me that a 100% restoration would be quite expensive, but that the scraping might just be paint transfer from the post and that the panel could probably be "bumped" back into place. He spent a quarter hour cleaning up the scrape and, when he was finished, the damage looked "fixed" and was not readily apparent. I told him that I wanted to pay for his efforts but he refused any payment. I will bring any future work to this shop, and will recommend them to people who need auto body services. read more

Great service, and FAST. My Kia Sorrento was hit on 1/22 and the right rear quarter panel and bumper all messed up. The auto body shop nearest me couldn't even take it until 2/19. Called Venice Auto Body last Thursday and they said bring it and they'll start Monday. I am dealing with Raul who just sent me a photo of the installed new part and the status of still needing to be painted, etc. very polite staff, shop is convenient to Sarasota and other local areas. My insurance company wanted me to go to a shop in Bradenton, but I've had bad experiences with that shop. Regardless, Raul at Venice Auto Body said they'd work with my insurance company. They pride themselves on providing honest estimates and doing quality work. Let me add my "Absolutely correct!" to that. We came in with a mangled driver side mirror that lost a battle with a garage door. Mirror loose, cap off, controls not working. Had estimates ranging from $300 to $780 to replace and install. These guys took a look at the mess and tried to reassemble the pieces before providing an estimate. Lo and behold, they reassembled the mirror in about a half hour without having to replace it. I went to Venice Autobody to have my 2016 Lexus RX350 liftgate repaired. They did a GREAT job and it looks like new. I can say that I know a little about auto body work and painting as I worked in a body shop as a kid and did mostly sanding and some priming, but I appreciate good work. The finish is perfect and the color match is undetectable. Guy was very friendly and helpful and Tom who did the work is a real expert.
