Based on my experience, any proactive issues you can take to avoid any water issues is money well spent. I love how they work with you to stay in your budget but help you to track issues you may see in the future. In our situation, we have a gutter issue that showed up when we had the recent monsoon rain. We're going to fix our gutters (clean them out) but will track a second issue (we also have an issue with the volume of our 2nd floor gutter pours onto our garage roof as the 2nd floor and the garage roof gutter handle the same volume of water which means that if we max out the 2nd floor gutter, the garage roof gutter will be overflowing). They also pointed out that they can fix issues with our porch setting (a common issue given that NC builder often throw all their trash under the porch then bury the trash when they finish their construction). There is an easy fix for that issue. Also, they can fix an issue with our cement driveway slab tilting though it is more expensive given the size of the slab. We'll address this later.

Nonetheless, our contact person Madeleine and her crew came out to assess our foundation and cracks and some mold from the humidity in the crawlspace. In the end we went with mold remediation, a sump pump, new vapor barrier, joist lifts, and air sealing to keep out the creepy crawlies. Big ticket expense, but when compared to the competition, we went with them because of the thoroughness with the estimate interview and the willingness to answer all of our questions, they were also well-spoken of on other review sites including a popular large community message board, and the price was pretty comparable. Also, the crew was very good. My only ding would be was not putting the items in the crawlspace back in the order that it was originally, which saved space. But to add to their credit, we have one additional project that needs to be done outside of Little Corner's scope and the new company took a look at Little Corner's work and said "They did a very good job, this is how we would have done it." However, about 6 months after the patio was installed, we started to notice that the added color to the stamped patio was slowly flaking away. I reached out to Teo weeks later about it and he promptly came out to take a look, and said he'd get back to me as to what we can do. Since then, responses have been VERY slow, I constantly follow up without response and then when I do, no actions come from it. There was likely an issue with the material when pouring that wasn't originally noticed, but that is not my fault and I didn't pay thousands of dollars to have a sub par patio. The only suggestion from Teo was to cover the patio with Flagstone, which material alone would cost more than the full patio. I know it's a bad situation, but ignoring your customers texts and calls over and over again, just to pretty much say "Good luck" is a horrible business model. I'd recommend going elsewhere for more accountability, because now that's what I have to do to fix my problem.

Oscar responded to my call immediately then quickly came out to give a quote. It was a shocking and distressing situation so we appreciated his quick response time. He is very nice, and instead of trying to upsell with a lot of encapsulation stuff we didn't want or need, he quoted for exactly what the structural engineer said to do and did it right away. I sent the videos he took of his work to the structural engineer, who said it was exactly what he had recommended. Oscar and his crew also fixed something additional before leaving, which was a great help and kindness. The cost of the work was very reasonable, and the work was excellent and done right away. I highly recommend them.
