My bar staff is preoccuppied with his phone to be engaging. The lunch wait staff is older and very inclusive, not hospitable nor engaging with even simple cordiality. One of the reasons, when not a regular in DC cliques, your presumed as an outsider. Food was a salad bar, that was fresh, clean, and had a great chickpea salad w feta and pickled onion. Cheat day was dessert- mini rasbery cheescake shot and a strawberry slice of roll cheesecake. Main course was potatoe gnocchi, fresh burrata,in red sauce. Wanted to see the layout for potential youth dining, when off the boat or taking youth visiting musuems, might have to seek accomodations more hospitable

I could spend a couple hours looking at the all the wall artifacts which includes many autographed photos of important past visitors. I loved seeing the piano that President Harry S Truman used to play. Until today I never knew Truman tickled the ivories. An integral part of the NPC is dining at the Reliable Source. My dining experience was absolutely fabulous. Service was exceptional and I liked how the head chef came out to check on us. On this particular day (Wednesday), a salad and prime rib buffet was available, as well as a regular menu. We opted for the buffet, which also came with an absolutely delicious cream of chicken soup. I loved all the flavorful salad condiment options, including pickled onions and multiple types of nuts. The prime rib was tender and delicious. They had cheesecake as a dessert. At the end of lunch, they served a most excellent coffee. I loved how they did it the British way, pouring cream in the cup before pouring in the coffee. Coffee is provided in a li'l coffee pot for each person, with plenty of coffee for refills. On special occasions, such as Chinese (Lunar) New Year, they have more elaborate meals. Frequently, the NPC has pressers where people in the news come and talk and answer questions from the audience. The day I was here, Robert Rand, author of The Menendez Murders and Anamaria Baralt, a cousin of the Menendez brothers came and spoke about the case. The green is surrounded by stone paths and gardens filled with pretty flowers- and it was so peaceful to walk around and explore. My kids ran around, finding 'secret' spots. The bride and groom love the outdoors, so this spot made so much sense. The reception afterwards was in one of the main rooms, a beautiful room, which accommodated us all comfortably. After dinner, we were asked to move to the opposite room for a dj and dancing. I wish the staff had told us that we could return to the dining room- to just leave our belongings there. Or perhaps I misunderstood this. Our host eventually shared that they had rented the entire property for the night- that we could gather anywhere that we wanted. We ended up chilling in the dining room as well as another smaller room where there was coffee (also not communicated well).

They flank the verdant lawn with vintage styled couches and armchairs to allow attendees to lounge and relax while viewing the players. The pebble carpeted area just outside the main doors to the outdoor portion is quaintly located beneath more arboreal decoration. These trees are well groomed to allow for beautiful hanging lights and the natural foliage to provide a canopy beneath the stars or daytime sky. The indoors are just as appealing, but in my opinion, much more traditional and expected with the architecture, lighting, stairs, materials and decor. Appropriately decorated for this historical venue, it also provides a charming, romantic and/or sophisticated theme to your event. Fabulous venue!

I checked in with the front desk and was directed to wait for my meeting. I walked around the space and while it was really busy I was pleasantly surprised at how much space there was. This located is multiple leveled with small and large conference rooms, seperate phone booths for private conversations and regular meeting spaces. I really enjoyed that there was a kitchen that users can access. There's coffee, and in the late afternoon there is a beer and cider tap. My understanding is members pay a monthly fee to utilize the space. The more the member pays the better the perks. The space is very inviting and "hip"- I need to learn more lingo. I'm glad I was able to check this place out and it's a great spot of you are running a business and need a central location.

But the space itself / office policies have some issues: - It is really dark. The lights are never completely on - they seem to have all of the lights on a dimmer set very low. In the interior offices it's like working in a closet with a 10 watt lightbulb hanging above you, or feels like you are in a basement. Kind of depressing. - Hall meetings. They have set up a few companies with numerous single or small offices in a row, as opposed to putting everyone into a larger single office. Which I'm sure those workers like, but what happens is that they then treat the hallway as their meeting space - they leave all of their office doors open, and yell at each other across / down the hall, and constantly take calls / have impromptu meetings in the hall. Great for them - not great for everyone else in the hall who doesn't want to hear it all day. This alone is enough to make us want to find a different office provider as we have constant confrontations with two groups that do this - they basically use the entire hallway as their office.

This office space complex had a complete remodel over the last year. The thought to detail is just amazing. They have gyms, Cafe's over looking the lobby, daycare for its tenants, stunning seating areas and a beautiful lobby with comfortable and stylish furniture. I also like the touch feature on the big screen office listing, as you enter the lobby. I almost wish that they would rent out condo spaces. My only concern is the parking. I have gotten stuck in the lot, when the ticket machine doesn't recognize my stamped ticket. Unfortunately, the response from the call button was really challenging. So, Caprock I hope you can look into that issue. But, other than that this place is just gorgeous and I had to bring attention to it for businesses that may be looking for a place to rent in a high traffic area like Bethesda, Maryland.
