I guess that stressed the tree enough to the point that it couldn't defend itself: it was infested with pine bark beetles. Within days we watched it go from semi-brown on a few branches to totally brown. Wow. Called Texas Tree Elite as soon as they opened on a Monday morning. Within hours, Jose was here to give us an estimate. Since this tree was perilously close to the power lines, it would be a little more expensive to remove. Received a fair quote, and the next day the crew was here. In about an hour, this tree was gone, stump ground, yard cleaned. What a crew! Excellent service with a skilled crew who were very conscious of the neighboring trees, the power lines and our yard. Highly recommended.

Review One thing…read morethat has been bothering us for almost a year is the lack of new growth with our 2 sago palms due to the aggressive frond defoliation done by Leo (Owner) and (his son) Oscar. One saga palm is over 50 years old and the other is approximately 25 years old. Both sago palms have been through hard weather and freeze then recovered with nice new growth. However, there has been zero new growth. Mistakes Made Defoliating Sago Plants * Removing all the fronds from a sago palm seriously harmed the palms. * The sago palms lost the ability to photosynthesize, so they can't produce food. * No new fronds for 11+ months Mulching Done Wrong * Doing mulch wrong can absolutely kill plants. * The most common mistake is "volcano mulching" piling mulch against tree trunks or plant stems--which traps moisture, rots the bark, and invites pests. My husband noticed this volcano-like mounds around both sago palms. No Solutions Offered * Email sent with photos * Phone calls made * One phone call to Stanley seemed promising then radio silence. * No offer for replacement * No offer to remove the sago palms. * Safe Disposal Warning * Extreme Toxicity: Sago palms contain cycasin, a potent toxin that is deadly to dogs, cats, and horses. * Safe Handling: Wear heavy work gloves and long sleeves. Then I called and was told we would let you know in a day or two. Called again to be told someone should come either Thursday or Friday. Thursday we got a text message advising that they would be out at the site on Friday. I called to confirm. No one showed up, called to apologize. Nothing. Horrible customer service. Green Bee had been treating my lawn every 5 weeks for over 2 years. I never saw great improvement…read morein lawn. I kept them as their customer service had been really good and they would send someone out at the drop of a hat if i had any issues with weeds. Last Sept i called them to tell them i think I have Cinch bugs. I had an 8x8 size of brown grass. They sent a manager out. He told me he ran the test and I did not have Cinch bugs. The brown grass continued to take over the yard. I called again. They sent a different manager out Dylan. He said he could tell I had Cinch bugs before running the test. He ran the test and confirmed I had bugs. 60 percent of my front yard was dead. He reported back to office manager Dean. They advised us to wait until the spring to see if the grass grows back as they felt it would. I called the first of March as my lawn looked terrible to let them know it wasnt growing back. They sent a manager out to confirm. The office manager Dean said he needed to call his GM to see how to handle. I called literally once a week for 5 weeks getting the run around.. After 5 weeks the GM said they needed to replace my sod.. They got estimates and so did I. The cost was more than they expected. The GM called me at the end of April and apologized and told me that the new owners up in Chicago would not replace my grass. He said the former owner an older gentlemen had become ill and sold the company to some company up in Chicago.. He was extremely apologetic. It it cost me thousands to replace my sod. I could not believe this happened after they serviced my yard on a regular basis. It really mkaes me question the quality of the products that they use. I beg you not to use these guys.. you will waste you money. I was lazy and kept them around too long..I should have known if I paid attention to some of the other reviews....
