After hearing great reviews from a co worker. My husband called to set up a appointment. Not hearing back for a few days, he called and left a message. Then I called and was told we would let you know in a day or two. Called again to be told someone should come either Thursday or Friday. Thursday we got a text message advising that they would be out at the site on Friday. I called to confirm. No one showed up, called to apologize. Nothing. Horrible customer service. If this is the customer service before a job is assigned, wonder wohat a night mare we would have to deal with later. :( read more

Green Bee had been treating my lawn every 5 weeks for over 2 years. I never saw great improvement in lawn. I kept them as their customer service had been really good and they would send someone out at the drop of a hat if i had any issues with weeds. Last Sept i called them to tell them i think I have Cinch bugs. I had an 8x8 size of brown grass. They sent a manager out. He told me he ran the test and I did not have Cinch bugs. The brown grass continued to take over the yard. I called again. They sent a different manager out Dylan. He said he could tell I had Cinch bugs before running the test. He ran the test and confirmed I had bugs. 60 percent of my front yard was dead. He reported back to office manager Dean. They advised us to wait until the spring to see if the grass grows back as they felt it would. I called the first of March as my lawn looked terrible to let them know it wasnt growing back. They sent a manager out to confirm. The office manager Dean said he needed to call his GM to see how to handle. I called literally once a week for 5 weeks getting the run around.. After 5 weeks the GM said they needed to replace my sod.. They got estimates and so did I. The cost was more than they expected. The GM called me at the end of April and apologized and told me that the new owners up in Chicago would not replace my grass. He said the former owner an older gentlemen had become ill and sold the company to some company up in Chicago.. He was extremely apologetic. It it cost me thousands to replace my sod. I could not believe this happened after they serviced my yard on a regular basis. It really mkaes me question the quality of the products that they use. I beg you not to use these guys.. you will waste you money. I was lazy and kept them around too long..I should have known if I paid attention to some of the other reviews.... read more

we have been customers for 5 - 7 years and had been very happy with service until the last 4 months. We have called several times requesting someone to check the weeds that were overtaking our yard - workers and service managers were supposed to address the problem and now there is no front grass - just very large weeds, some 15 inches in diameter. They scheduled a Service Manager to come to our home today between 7am and 9am........they texted at 9:30am, he wasn't available. The only person available to talk to is the nice person who answers the phone. She has no information for us, only says that service managers and office managers are not available. read more

Do not waste your time or money....5 treatments and followed their advice and no positive changes! I can actually say the lawn got a little worse. Last couple of tratnents seemed non existent. This company is either a scam or has the worst customer service ever.  I just had a phone call from Gregory at 630-635-8921, an IL number even though my house in in Houston, Texas. I was told that I had a past due balance and that it needed to be paid before they sent me to collections. Gregory then told me I paid for part of my services in July of 2020-- almost TWO years ago. I said I had no additional information and only called in one time, which I paid for. He told me I was "lying" and that he was going to send me to collections... for a bill less than $100 that is over two years old, and that I never authorized service for. I also never recieved a bill for this service. He got very aggressive with me, and when I asked his last name, he said "I do not need to tell you that." I said ok, what's your title, which he wouldn't tell me either. I'm appalled that someone would treat their customers like this, especially after two years of inactivity.  Oh and my bushes died anyway, so the one service I requested (AND PAID FOR!) didn't even work. Gregory should be fired and never work in a customer service field again. Do not walk, RUN away from Green Bee Lawn Care. read more

I laughed out loud and said look anywhere in my yard and you will see them. He said "we only treat broadleaf weeds, the weeds you have are grassy weeds" Needless to say I would not recommend! read more

I appreciate Green Bee always calls to confirm when they will perform the lawn service, and they try to coordinate with yard cutting service so the mowers don't mow right after the Green Bee service. We also appreciate they notify us when they are on site as we are in the processes of adopting a rescue dog thus giving us an opportunity to bring the dog inside. They are very responsive to questions and don't hesitate to retreat as needed. read more

I have used Green Bee for several years (annual service) - unfortunately, my yard got progressively worse. Each year I would comment on the negative progress and get some new advice. Normally I was not home during the services but I was last week. They completed about 1/3 of the yard before it started pouring rain - at which time they left. They were obviously unaware that I was watching because they had the nerve to leave a note on the front door saying the service was complete (with the added instructions not to water for an hour). Horrible service! I do not recommend this company. I explained to them why I left another lawn care company due to poor customer care and they told me they hear it all the time and they would treat me better. They came out 2 for sod worms and told me they would send a manager out to help me repair the damage. 2 weeks went by and no manager. I had to call to get someone out. once they walked the yard they said they would get me on the books to start fertilizing my yard once again 2 weeks and nothing. I called to get on the books and they expressed their apologies said they would return my care and have someone out the next day. Once again no call no show. When I called to again they were quick to issue a refund however did not offer anything else to help. I was not rude or disrespectful in anyway I felt rushed off the phone and was given no explanation. read more

Beware! I would not recommend this company. They said they would get rid of my weeds and help me grow more grass in my back yard which is shaded by trees. What they did was kill my lawn. After complaining and having someone come to my house to examine the lawn, they tried to tell me that it was not dead. Well I know what dead is, and pictures don't tell lies. Yet they continued to tell me the grass was not dead, and they could fix it? I saw no improvement and asked for a refund or that they re-sod my lawn. They opted for the refund but shorted me $75. Not sure why you would kill someone's lawn then not refund all their money? The pictures are one year apart. They began service in February, and I fired them in May. read more

I feel that this review might be premature as I have only received two lawn treatments so far from Green Bee but I have increasingly seen weeds growing in my backyard than when I got treatment from them. The positive side is that I was told that if I'm not satisfied with the way my grass looks after a week, to call them and they will send someone again to re-treat my lawn free of charge. read more

I've had the best lawn before green bee lawn and I decided to try them out. Customer service is great but after the first treatment and sod web worm treatment my grass got worse. I'm starting to see more crabgrass then ever and my green grass started to turn brown. It's been a month and I referred several other people because I was excited about what they had to offer. I just hope when they do the next slow release phase 4 it will work better. If not I'll just have to do it myself and maintain a nice yard. read more

Have had several lawn care services in the past and Green Bee was the worst. The document they leave will claim that they did several different services- fertilizing and spot-treating, for example, but how do they do it all in 5 minutes? That is typically what they would spend at my house, and I have a big backyard. As one would expect, the results were underwhelming. You could clearly see a green band where they quickly put a circle of fertilizer in my front yard. When I called to complain they said they would send a specialist right out to discuss my lawn but they never showed. I canceled them and never received a final reconciliation. read more

I have never used a lawn care service before, I did my own yard, but I gave it a try, mistake. Nice enough people but after several months of service and no positive results I decided to go back to doing it on my own. Also, they have a buisness practice I didn't like, without calling or giving notice, they service your lawn and charge you for it...I would like to know when they come out so I can bring my dog inside ect ect. I'm not sure how recent the comments are but I have been using GreenBee for the better part of 4 years. At first things were off to a slow start but I called the office to setup a service call and they sent a manager out to take a look at my lawn for me. Turns out my mowers were cutting the grass too short and I wasn't watering enough. By the 4th application, I noticed more results. Since I have used them, I have gotten yard of the month 2 times and have even earned credits for referring friends and neighbors. I have 2 labs in the back yard and so they make it a point to call me 1 day before service which isn't too bad and I make time to bring my dogs inside. I don't remember who set me up for service but the office people are always nice and are willing to help. For the ones who are down talking a local company, maybe you have the problem or aren't patient. Miracles don't work over night. I gave it 4 stars because sometimes when I set up a service call they can't be here exactly the time and date that I need them but they are always within the 3 days that they advertise. I'm just impatient but that's me. I'd recommend them to anyone who has tried international rip off companies like TruGreen any day. read more
