But he has certainly earned it with me over time. Pros: -He is exceptional at answering questions in person and making sure you fully understand the answers. -He helped me discover that my increasing migraines were linked to the hormonal birth control I was on and he was helpful in attempts to find a decent replacement that fit for me (when I was in need of BC). -Office staff have over all been very kind. -I had a miscarriage scare recently and he went above and beyond to help me understand the situation and what I could expect going forward. Cons: -Luckily I am still pregnant but since Dr. Rabin no longer delivers, I will have to find a new OBGYN for the next year at least. -His brand of humor may be off putting to some people. -I did have to follow up frequently whenever I need to make an appointment for sudden issues like UTIs and YIs. -Parking for the building he is located in sucks. I always leave extra early to allow time for circling to find a spot.

He said my Pap smear was "slightly abnormal" and immediately ordered a COLPOSCOPY without testing for HPV or explaining what "slightly abnormal" meant. Not to mention I am only 25 years old. He told me I "probably have HPV and it could be cancerous," which left me in tears after the appointment. A colposcopy is invasive and usually recommended based on the severity of results and confirmed high-risk HPV -- neither of which were explained or confirmed in my case. I sought a second opinion from my female gynecologist back home, had a full STD and HPV panel done, and everything came back completely normal. No further procedures were needed. I left feeling scared and pressured rather than informed or cared for. I would not recommend this doctor based on my experience.

I've been dealing with hormonal imbalance for the past four months. I'm currently with Kaiser and have seen nine different doctors, most of whom suggested anti-anxiety or antidepressant medication. However, I knew something deeper was going on. What I initially thought were panic attacks at night turned out to be hot flashes. I often felt dismissed and unheard, which was incredibly frustrating. My wife helped me research other options, and that's when we found Thrive. After reading so many positive reviews, I felt hopeful that I had finally found a place where I would be seen and heard. My first visit with the doctor was positive. She listened to my concerns and ordered bloodwork. However, after completing my labs, I had difficulty getting a follow-up appointment. My calls were not returned, and I eventually had to use the emergency text number just to get a response. I was told I had a phone appointment scheduled at 11 AM, but I never received a call. When I followed up, they offered me an in-person appointment later that day, which I accepted. During that visit, the doctor reviewed my labs and told me a pharmacist would contact me the next day to start testosterone treatment. Unfortunately, I never received that call. I want to be clear that I'm not trying to be difficult, but dealing with hormonal issues has significantly impacted my quality of life. I've been experiencing sleepless nights, restlessness, irritability, bladder issues, and an overall sense that I'm not functioning at my best. Given that this is an out-of-pocket service, the lack of communication has been extremely frustrating. I've since called and emailed multiple times without any response. Additionally, when you call their office, it goes straight to a generic voicemail that doesn't clearly identify the business, and messages are not returned. It feels like you have to constantly follow up just to get basic communication and even then, responses are inconsistent. I also want to add that I typically don't write reviews like this. However, if you are struggling the way I have been, I wouldn't want another woman to go through what I've experienced. I truly believe women should support one another and take each other's concerns seriously, and unfortunately, that has not been my experience here.

However, her office staff are slow to respond and when you do get someone on the phone they are condescending and unhelpful. I had an extremely hard time confirming my initial appointment. Most doctors offices these days send out reminders via email or text at least a week in advance of your appointment. When I did not receive a confirmation or reminder I reached out to the office by phone and email multiple times and no one responded to my emails or voicemails. I did not want to take time off of work for an appointment that wasn't confirmed and when I finally got someone on the phone I could practically feel her rolling her eyes at me as she told me they only confirm the day before. Okay, fine, but they could have emailed me back or called me back to answer my question instead of ignoring it for a week. Then I was billed three times for the same amount over the course of three months after I had already paid the bill. When I called the office to ask why my check hadn't been cashed and I was still being billed, the staff answering the phones was incredibly rude and told me to "take a breath" after I calmly explained my issue. I had already left a voicemail about the issue a few days before and no one called me back. Save yourself the headache and find a practice that employs responsive staff that can schedule effectively and bill effectively.

She made sure I got all my appointments set up with Dr Roger's and that everything ran smoothly. When my delivery came a little earlier than expected, Dr. Rogers didn't just stick to the standard 6 week checkup , she created a 2-4-6 week followup plan to make sure I was recovering well and feeling good. She also gave me great recommendations for classes, therapists, and other resources, and referrals which really showed how much she cares about her patients beyond just the medical side. If you're looking for a super hands on OB and a team that truly goes on the journey with you and makes sure you're okay every step of the way, Dr. Rogers and her office are amazing.

I'm just like my dog in that way, something about the waiting room really spikes my anxiety levels. Sitting in Dr. Pearson's waiting room was no different. I was there what I like to affectionately refer to as my annual "Tire Rotation", or standard lady parts exam, and the other women in the waiting room were pregnant. Like, super pregnant. Pregnant with symptoms they were telling each other about. The kinds of symptoms that made me feel more certain to leave the doctors office with a prescription for birth control pills. I didn't bolt out of the waiting room in horror after overhearing a litany of pregnant lady complaints, but by the time I was called back to see the doctor, I was ready to run. I expected to be wrapped in a flimsy paper gown and left in a cold room, only to be quickly prodded, poked and released back into the wilds of Burbank, but instead I was seated in the doctor's office with all my clothes still on. He introduced himself to me and asked me questions and took time to get to know me as a human being! A doctor! Can you believe that?? I was raised on Kaiser HMO, so I'm not used to doctors who are friendly, helpful and not scary. He listened to my concerns about birth control pills, told me an IUD might be a bad idea, and when the time came for the actual exam, he was fast and thorough. Like some of these other lovely Yelpettes, I had no idea that a male doctor could make me feel so comfortable! I'm still terrified of ever becoming pregnant, but at least Dr. Pearson hooked me up with two months of sample pills and a year's prescription! And if the unexpected does happen, at least I know a great doctor!

However, if you are dealing with more complex or ongoing gynecological concerns outside of pregnancy, I did not feel supported. I have been experiencing persistent discomfort and went in seeking answers and guidance. Beyond testing for basic infections, there did not seem to be any interest in exploring other possible causes or discussing next steps. When those tests came back negative, I felt like there was no plan and no curiosity about what else could be going on. I also requested documentation for a workplace accommodation due to ongoing discomfort, and that request was dismissed in a way that felt unsympathetic and invalidating. What was most upsetting was not just the lack of answers, but the lack of feeling heard. I left feeling discouraged and losing confidence in the medical system. Patients deserve to feel listened to, especially when they are in pain and seeking help.
