So I'm not new to surgery centers. I've been to many through my years and I have to say I'm really impressed by Avalon! From the minute I arrived they were top notch and professional. There is a masked worker upon entering behind plexiglass. They provide hand sanitizer and have a temperature check machine. Once I was checked in, a RN came out, I introduced himself and brought me back to the bed where I was given a gown, socks, cool party hat and a warm blanket. Ahhhh My vitals were taken, IV inserted, medical history asked, questions answered, met with anesthesiologist, doctor, and away we went to the OR. Woke up back in the holding area, peacefully where the RN checked on me until I was fully awake. He checked my vitals and well being and when I was ready, they called my husband to pick me up. Once dressed, they wheeled me out to the car where my discharge instructions were explained to my husband and bid me farewell. They were awesome. I felt safe and every precaution was taken from start to finish. I highly recommend this surgery center. read more

I often came here for a Covid test. They are very professional, quick, and very organized. Even when the line is there, it goes super fast. Also, the location is very convenient since it is at level 3/4 of the parking lot. The company also take care of testing directly at the place I work, and they have been amazing on how organized and quick of getting all 400+ of us tested. I highly recommend Avalon Surgery Center. From the moment I stepped in the waiting room, the staff was nice and very helpful. My pre-op/post-op nurse was Nina. She was amazing. I felt so comfortable with her. She took my vitals, went over my health history and prepped me for surgery. When it was time for surgery, 3 nurses wheeled me in the OR and before I knew it, I was in post-op with Nina. I came here for the rapid COVID test on a Saturday morning and it was a super smooth, stress-free process! It took 15 min to wait in line and get my test and another 15 min to receive my results. Cost is $120 unless you have Kaiser. Staff was super friendly and courteous. Park on Level 3 and walk up to find the line. Starting on Jan 4, they are saying it will be appointments only. I have been fortunate enough to have Dr. Boghosian as my foot doctor for a couple of years. He has been fixing my toes from a previous foot surgery. He clearly has a good understanding of his field and is one of the last remaining doctors that is good in his field and has one of the best bed side manners that I have seen in a long time. I would highly recommend him to any one. I am so appreciative of him and how he has taken care of correcting my foot issues. He had me do a day surgery at Avalon Surgery Center in Glendale Ca., because the last surgery he did on me was a surgery center in Antelope Valley and he said he highly recommended Avalon. I just had a pretty intrusive surgery done there. When my surgeon told me that he would be using a surgery center verses a hospital I was a little concerned. But, all went well, and could not have asked for more both from the center and my surgeon. The staff at the center were extremely polite, caring and friendly. My teenage son had surgery here last week. We cannot say enough good things about Avalon Surgery Center. The facility is spotlessly clean and we felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. The nursing staff is incredible! Anthony put in my son's IV and he did the most amazing job. When we removed the bandage when we got home, there wasn't even a mark! My son was extremely nervous prior to his surgery. The nursing staff helped him relax and feel comfortable. I was schedule for my facial cosmetic surgery with the center. Dr. Susan Chobanian was the Dr. who did my surgery and she was the Dr. scheduled me with the Avalon Surgery and Robotic Center. I didn't have any idea about the center before but a day before, when I received a call from the nurse from avalon, I felt the care they have. The day I was there I was suprised; all staff members front desk to all nurses were so nice, warm and caring that I didn't feel I was there to have my surgery. I came the other day to get tested for COVID and I'm so happy I did!! I had a much better experience then two other places I've been to before and the stories I've heard of other places. The line was a little long but where isn't it long right now? Especially a good testing place. The nurse who helped me was extremely nice and they had a very thought out place set up for testing. It was out doors and plenty of room to keep your distance from other so that was a huge plus! I've been telling everyone to go here because the experience I had and the way they conducted their testing was exceptional. From the minute I walked in the staff was very helpful aswell as the Nurse that took good care of me and calmed my nerves as I was getting ready for surgery. Gabi, Natalie, Anna. At the end of my procedure the Nurse Melanie took wonderful care of me! making sure I was comfortable, and took her time coming back to check on me again she was gentle and patient. I'm not even sure where to begin. I want to give a big thank you to my nurses Melanie, Annette, Hakop, and Karis (sorry for any misspelling.) checking in for my surgery (8/23/19) was almost effortless. Front desk was very helpful. Even though I was there slightly early, they took me down to the area where they prep you for surgery after only about 5 minutes. There, I was greeted by Melanie. Even though I was bawling my eyes out from fear, she made me laugh, and assured me everything was going to be ok. After my surgery, I was greeted by Melanie, and soon after, Annette. They were both, once again, very helpful. I was in excruciating pain, and they were very sympathetic about it. They didn't make me feel like I was just wining or complaining. They showed me genuine care, and were very good at checking on me. The overnight nurses, Karis and Hakop, were just as phenomenal. They were very patient, very helpful, and answered all of my questions when I had them. They were always on time with me giving me my medication, and we even had great conversation.
