I have bought from many different automotive and boat dealers in mt 62 years. I will have to say…read morethat Norton's Yachts has to be at the very top. From day one, Anton never let me down. I asked a lot of questions.....lots of questions! He answered them right away, whether it was on the phone, text or email. And Kendall, Ole and the rest of the team are just as good. Even after the sale, they are still there for you! If you are looking for a great place to buy, look no further than Norton's Yacht Sales!!! Owner of a new Jeanneau 895 Series 2!!!

Caveat Emptor - Buyer(And Boater) Beware!…read more When my boat was recently launched from Norton's Marina I was slapped with an exorbitant fee of $300 to move it into a slip prior to my departure. This fee was never communicated to me until I had left the facility and was within 5 minutes of home. The scheduler and management had ample opportunity to advise me of the cost at the launch when we spoke just an hour earlier. Was this withholding of valuable information accidental or calculated? I don't know. What I do know is that all information must be available to make a rational and informed decision. Had I been apprised of a $300 fee to move the boat at launch you had best believe the boat would have been moved from the slings directly into the slip, avoiding a completely unnecessary $300 fee. I e-mailed and phoned management to request a person to person meeting to discuss my concerns but my attempts to reach out were never returned. My message to boaters travelling and staying in Deltaville is that you might want to look into other marina options in Deltaville.

The transmission of my new-to-me1983 Wauquiez 38 broke down just off Deltaville on a long trip home…read morefrom buying her in FL. The towboat/US guy brought me here & I couldn't have been luckier. This family-owned full-service marina at the southern entrance of Chesapeake Bay is extremely well run, clean, organized & friendly. Everyone I dealt with here at every level struck me as honest, friendly & competent. I had to leave the boat over the winter to have the transmission, shaft seal, & cutlass bearing replaced. Because they charge one price per boat (not per foot) for winter storage the place is full of very big sailboats wintering on long passages up & down the US coast. Mine was on the smaller side. Because they allow you to work on your own boat, which USED to be the norm, I spent many weekends over the fall & spring there & got to know this beautiful area filled with lots of marine businesses & extremely friendly people willing to help out a stranger. I was actually a little sad to leave in Spring. The yard did my repairs on time, highly professionally & their prices were reasonable compared to many other bigger-name marinas in the area. Their well-maintained facilities also included free use of a pool, showers, clubhouse lounge & even use of a car for local errands. Deltaville is only about an hour by car from Colonial Williamsburg & close to other historic sites like Jamestown. Sailing families with kids will particularly enjoy stopping here, though there is no mass transit as far as I could see. DYC sells boat gas but not diesel, which was a surprise, but it isn't far away. The inlet to get in here can get shallow but I saw scores of big deep-draft fixed-keel sailboats on the hard here so evidently not a problem. You just need to time your comings & goings well. This breakdown could have been a soul-destroying, money-sucking nightmare for me at some other marinas. Instead, I was extremely lucky to land here. Can't praise & thank everyone there enough.

Terrible. I bought a boat out of Deltaville that was being stored at this yard. Prior to the…read moresale, we had this yard do work on the boat and literally everything they did, they screwed up. (1) I had them service the engine and they forgot to reinstall a gasket on one of the filters, which allowed air in the system and prevented the motor from starting. When they came back the next day to correct the issue, they left the belt for the alternator so loose, it was about to fall off. (2) I had them replace the air conditioning system and when they hooked up the condensate pump, they connected the discharge line of the sensor to the vent on the sensing unit, and nothing to the discharge line. This resulted in the pump drawing air, making a ton of noise and all of the water leaking into the bilge. (3) The broker had them replace the water pump for the house water system. They did the replacement, but then never confirmed that the water system was working. It wasn't. It was clogged, which I had to figure out when I took delivery of the boat. They should have known this because when the switch for the pump was activated, the pump just ran and ran and never stopped, which is a clear indicating the system isn't working. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on this one because I'm not sure they were specifically asked to make sure the water system was working as part of the work of replacing the water pump, but it seems like that would have been done by any competent yard and given the other stuff they screwed up, I feel like this a legitimate gripe. Basically, I would NEVER go back for work there EVER again.
