If you're not paired with a person who never knows when to shut up like I was, you should be out of there in 5 minutes. You receive your card and certificate right away via email instead of hard copy like the website tells you. So don't pay for ANY of the add ons the website suggests to you.

There was a 9.00 dollar charge to be able to "pass the exam guaranteed" if you weren't feeling confident. There was a second fee I paid of 7.00 dollars which stated "the CPR certificate card would be replaced up to two years if you lose it" and I paid over 85.00 dollars for the class alone. Come to find out they don't teach you CPR breathing (COVID-19) and you don't learn compressions on any dummy besides an adult. The whole experience to perform cpr was only compressions two times for one minute and it was done with and they certify you. On top of that, the written exam the website advertises was false. It was a oral exam given with everyone in the room and if you agreed with the other students answer and it was correct, the instructor moved on to the next question. To top it off, the instructor tells you at the end to get out of the class and they don't issue you a hard copy card which is advertised online. Instead, he informs you that you will get your certificate online through email and you can print it as many times as you please... (even though I paid for a hard copy in case of being lost & was told on the website that we would leave the establishment with one in hand). By the way, when I took a look at the certificate, if it is even real, it said it was issued in Michigan and I'm in TAMPA, FLORIDA. What a joke. Do not waste your money.

PHSC offers small on campus classes, online and hybrid format courses. Instructors learn your name because you're not a face in an auditorium of 200 people. Each PHSC campus is comparable to most high schools with each class not surpassing 30 students. Most importantly PHSC is an accredited state college so you can transfer your credits elsewhere if need be. I earned a Bachelors and Associates Degree from Pasco Hernando State College. I completed a workforce training program, joined two honor societies and earned several scholarships while attending PHSC. I graduated PHSC with very little student loan debt. If I had attended USF or another large university I would certainly still be paying for my education. When visiting other institutions for information on graduate degrees, I was shocked to learn how many other students paid a ton of money for their four year degrees. One academic advisor told me he was jealous at how little debt I had since the same university he wanted me to attend charged him 40k. One tip I'd reccomend to new or existing students is to sign up for the PHSC foundation scholarship program. They award scholarships to nearly every student who applies. In exchange students are requird to help out at an event or promote their programs once or twice a year but would get anywhere from $500-1200 off tuition each semester. Don't attend a private school where your credits won't transfer and don't over pay for the same education at a university consider attending PHSC.

Then once they do, you have to wait several days to get someone to upload what is needed on their end. Finally, once all of that is complete and you think you can register for you class - they put a hold on your account and make you speak with an advisor who never gets back with you. I only need 1 class to graduate in December that my current college is not offering, and I keep going around in circles with this school. Please, try your hardest to find another college that offers your course before you settle for this one.

Keiser University seems to be pretty grounded with their approach. They don't sell you these unrealistic dreams. They lean on the side of knowledge and their status among the surrounding hospitals reflect on that. Keiser was exactly what i needed and when i needed it. The content isn't easy... I've found areas to be fairly difficult. but the support you receive once you have entered the campus is unlike any other school I've attended. The professors have never left me on read.. they get back to their students.. and you build this bond with past professors that def helps in those rough patches. They want to see you succeed and they show it. I am in the middle of retaking one of the classes I didn't pass.. and tbh, I needed to retake that class. But even in that personal low, I get to retake it with a more absorbent mindset and a professor that has shown she will make time for the academic issues i come across. I'm grateful for this campus and its staff.. and hope to be within its graduating alumni in the upcoming year. Its not perfect... nothing is. but they have built something special here and handpicked a phenomenal staff of approachable and genuine professors. So yeah.. also as a GI BILL veteran. the finance department knows the VA requirements, how the VA works, and how to relay that to you the veteran in a way that isn't intimidating. i have yet had to pay an additional cent in order to be a student here. There are not enough characters allowed in google reviews to even graze the surface of what I went through. I will summarize, but I will be leaving a ton out due to the character limit which I will be spreading across the internet. The program is extremely overpriced for what you get. I highly recommend a local community college instead. Additionally, they hire the worst "human" beings to be professors. Professors would humiliate students in front of the entire class on a daily basis and they would promote and push for bullying of certain students. They allow very bad people to pass these classes, people that will go on to abuse patients. I saw it first hand. Evil people protect evil people. I went to hire ups with my concerns, but it just made my life worse. Doing the right thing in this cult, will hurt you. I had an African American Human Anatomy and Physiology professor (male in late 50's or 60's) that was a creep and a predator. He had worked there for a long time and had a ton of complaints against him that were completely ignored. Felt like I was in a catholic boarding school from a horror movie. He would give lectures about the female anatomy that had nothing to do with the curriculum. They would get very graphic and sexual in nature. It was extremely disturbing. One of the very young and troubled female students he was grooming went on his laptop at some point and changed the grades for 75% of the class. I was unfortunately one of the unlucky ones this happened to. She increased the grades which worried me. I did not want to be blamed for this so I told him when I found it. It was the weirdest and creepiest meeting I've ever had. Nothing was done and she remained in class. She was one of his "special" students. The two female heads of nursing (one white female middle aged and one black female middle aged, last name initial started with an M. She had a thick accent) were horrible people. They treated us like garbage. They lied to us, bullied us, and never listened to any of our concerns. I had a professor (young, white, short, and skinny female in her 30's) that they referred to as the pit bull. I love pit bulls and they gave the breed a bad name by associating them with this disgusting excuse for a woman. She was a bully, lacked compassion, and promoted bullying of fellow students. There was a fat white woman that was probably in her late 40's that was also a nursing professor and she was one of the worst. She was a mean and angry woman. During Covid nobody enforced masks. Let me repeat, NURSING PROFESSORS did not care about masks and when I wore one I was mocked in front of my cohort by the "pit bull". I went to president gibbons which was a mistake because he was useless as usual. They put us in tiny, hot rooms that smelled like mold, with poor ventilation, for hours with little breaks, and we all got very sick. Not one staff member did anything or cared. During clinicals I saw repeated abuse towards patients by the nursing facility I was in. Brought it to the attention of my professors and nothing was done. I still have nightmares. These "people" that are supposed to be teaching our next generation of nurses. I'm afraid of nurses now because of the people in my cohort that were allowed to pass and even pushed through because evil professors saw their evil selves in them. These monsters are now registered nurses working in hospitals. They could barely pass their exams. They are bullies, addicts, psychopaths, narcissists, and monsters walking among us treating patients all because of these professors. They will end patients lives, abuse them, and neglect them. I can't even imagine what these professors did to patients and fellow staff in their careers before coming to this cult. It makes me physically sick to think about. I will be compiling names of all of these professors and updating my review. Everyone needs to know the truth.

I pull over at St Pete College and call Roadside Assistance 'cause I got it! Gigi and D see the sign for The Campus Cafe and trek over to see what they could discover. They came back with a Breakfast Burrito and Lucky Charms cereal! We all tried the Burrito! Gigi decided, "It's awesome!" The declaration was unanimous! The sausage, egg, and cheese is brought together with a tasty salsa and nicely wrapped in a soft flour tortilla! Simply made, it shouts "Delish!" See? That's all I got ... and that's all to be said!

I have participated in the Student Survey of Instructions, but I feel professors don't leave as much impact as the administrative and advising roles. These positions can make or break a student's experience. Within my first year of courses, a very close friend of mine passed away from a tragic car accident. We had planned the semester together and even shared some classes. After he passed, I had a professor bluntly ask me about the details of his death. So far as to ask if he was buried and where. This is completely unethical and out of conduct for a professor. In the summer of 2013, I embarked on a study abroad program with St. Petersburg College. I was blessed to be able to attend on a scholarship. Even with such funds, I cannot say the experience can be justified with how the program was portrayed. I met another student at an informational session, so we traveled to/from together. The course had no experience at all as what was described within the course/program outline. The biggest disappointment was that the professor brought his girlfriend and structured many of the day's activities around her schedule. I turned to Pasco Hernando State College (PHSC) to complete statistics, which I passed with an A. Within my short time there, it was a world of different experiences with their faculty and support staff. The team at PHSC truly strives for their students, such as Lynne Wolf did. I was so compelled by their enthusiasm and support, several times I even wrote thank you letters to people who had such an impact on me during my short time at PHSC. I finally really got a grasp on my coursework when I entered my bachelor's program at SPC. I brought attention to the matter of missing elective credits to my advisor. It was disappointing that my advisor had poorly advised me, and shared she questioned the curriculum as she didn't complete the program personally but had a colleague who did. It was due to taking pre-requisites as my electives in my associates' coursework, we couldn't understand the shortage of credits. I completed my capstone and won in the BSG. I felt the entire demeanor of the course was not motivating but more pressured under the influence of "if you don't pass you take another lap next semester." Never have I received such harsh scores without explanation of grading. Given time to reflect these encounters, I can say there is a lack of compassion and encouragement compared to my short experience with PHSC. I understand SPC may be a larger operation, but perhaps consider the opportunity to have a larger team to help your students rather than leave them to "figure it out." After all, we are the students. My dad was so proud to see my degree when it came in the mail. He was extremely broken-hearted at the printout sent to "take a photo and tag SPC on social media" that was enclosed with it. He felt this was so tasteless and poor representation for all my hard work as well as to the family of the graduating students. He questioned why it didn't have a cover, and how/where I could purchase one, he actually said "degrees are supposed to come in a cover." I keep trying to inquire about this cover to help amend this. But SPC can't see beyond the inquiry, telling me to check back. The printout for social media was in poor taste. Especially when you see the personal care packages PHSC mailed to their graduates. I understand there needs to be a budget in place for such things, but SPC could have done better than a printout for their own social media benefit. Having taken numerous business and marketing courses, I am sure none of the material would ever suggest a tasteless action such as this response such as the enclosed picture to my degree to take a photo to tag and share on social media.

This was an EXCELLENT CPR COURSE!! Nelson is a retired Firefighter EMT and has been giving these CPR classes for years. He is extremely experienced, patient and kind with a good sense of humor. He went thru adult, child and infant CPR techniques and what to do if adult, child or infant are choking. He also showed us some First Aid techniques. Nelson explained and demonstrated everything in detail. He made sure everyone understood and performed everything correctly. He arrived with a mannequin for each of us to practice on and gave handouts with all the information on it to refer to. I highly recommend Nelson's CPR & First Aid Training. You never know when you will find yourself in a situation where unfortunately you will need this training.
