As others have mentioned this is not a real Verizon store and today I learned that you shouldn't come here to troubleshoot a problem as they are extremely unhelpful. My iPhone stopped receiving calls and was unable to make them as well. My data wasn't working either. I went to this location thinking they could help and after toying around with my phone for 40 minutes the rep told me to go to a "corporate" Verizon store, closest being Reed & Henderson. I was having issues with transferring my phone service from T-Mobile to Verizon and he was able to make a few calls, find the issue and get it squared away really quickly. I had wondered what was going in here, and noticed it is finally open (probably within the last few weeks) because it is near my barber shop. Handy, because I had a couple of things I wanted to do at Verizon. We're longtime customers, and in general we like them. A little pricey, but great coverage, and good service when I have issues. The stores, well, the service is worse, and the sales tactics are annoying. They must work, though, because I often leave having spent more money than I intended. I usually have a moment of regret later, and a vague feeling of being ripped off. 4 stars in general for the phone service, 2 for the stores, as a rule, and this one lived up to that reputation. This time, well, condescending salesman, not very knowledgeable. I know he was trying to help, but he failed. I had intended to take care of an issue, then do some shopping here for a case, screen protectors, etc., but I was so annoyed that I left. Maybe I'll give them a second chance sometime. It's a small store, and they're new, so there will be kinks to work out. Decent parking lot, easy access. read more

If you are ready to be talked over, a fact checker, bad jokes and be frustrated THIS is ur place. My objective was to get a new phone at a great promotion price( Black Friday Special). 1st visit Tuesday; went in to check on promo phone specials. That sales rep was awesome she showed me an I phone se, I phone 11 n I phone 12. We talked n she encouraged me to come back Friday. 2nd visit Friday; I was picking out my phone n . The individual who was trying check my purchase out was new n was being guided by his superior. I should have spoken up n had her assist me but I'm let him do what he had to do. WRONG. He accidentally did something he shouldn't have which involved Verizon security on the phone and his superior asking me what happened? ( This is where I got ) Ummm I don't Work here, I have about 15 minutes of patience b4 I walk out. Fast Forward. They said they were sorry they couldn't get it done within that time limit; I advise I will be back b4 the end of the Black Friday weekend sale. 3rd visit Sunday; I walk in greeted w a half way smile by Tim. ( FYI the Staff is on a rotating schedule meaning they go to different locations and if you have problems with your equipment you need to call them ) I told Tim what was happening and his les than happy personality showed. ( I didn't have a problem w Tims bad customer service or his unprofessionalism when he'd call the Verizon helpline on Speaker giving my personal info) The problem was HE sold me a phone that was supposed to be $100 trade in and I was only given 21.00 trade in I found out the next day. 4th visit Monday; I walked in explained what's happening to one of the rotating staff members ( nice kid) then here comes Robin.. blah, blah, blah, 20 minutes of Nobody wanting to take responsibility of THEIR wrong doings and fixing the issues. Then MAGIC happened Robin offered my Full Refund....So moral of the story go to A Real Verizon store. I went to a REAL Verizon store n got a $420 trade in for my phone. This is NOT a Verizon store, but is instead a third party store that sells Verizon products (this is unclear from the outside of the store, which merely says "Verizon," not "Cellular Sales."). The fact that they are a third party store means that their pricing and policies can differ somewhat from Verizon's. However, the reason I am writing a bad review is that when I went in the other day to pick up my new phone upgrade, which I had ordered online, the sales person who "assisted" me in setting up my phone charged me $35 after the fact without telling me before that her "help" would come at a cost. This may be the store's policy, but I find it extremely unethical for her to assist me under the guise of just helping me out without telling me beforehand that there would be a charge. Not only that, but she was on the phone the entire time she was "setting up" my new phone, so I ended up doing most of it myself, which turned out to be an incredibly simple task that I could have done at home for free had I been told that this was an option to me. I just hate to think of how many other unassuming customers the people at this store might take advantage of in this exact way -- charging them for things they didn't know they would be charged for, leaving them with no choice after the fact but to pay after the service has been rendered. Upon leaving the store, I called Verizon and they credited that $35 back to my account plus an additional $15 for my trouble. Verizon assured me that such set up fees are not Verizon policy and that I should not have been charged that amount without my consent. Stay away from this place and just go to the actual Verizon store. read more

This is not a Verizon owned store, but a Verizon-authorized reseller, and they don't hide the fact. They are like other Verizon resellers, like Best Buy, Victra, and others. This was my first experience with Cellular Sales, but I have used other Verizon-authorized sellers in the past. I visited the North High store when there were few customers at an off-rush time. Dan S. was available and spent much time with me to review my account and Verizon usage. He was very personable and we discussed new technologies coming up. I ended up buying an upgraded wireless home phone and a new Galaxy Tab A. Cell phone plans are complicated and there are many, many options. Dan was able to spend the time to work through my options and the reasons for them. He offered a pretty good special on the Tab, so I bought it. I am a long-time Verizon customer and needed to make other changes to the plan which he did readily. I can't speak to the others' expectations and ratings, but my experience was good. read more

Not a Verizon corporate store. Some of their staff is helpful but the man who helped me seemed full of himself and just kinda sleazy. He talked a big game about being great at training people "its what I do" however he was just condescending and couldn't train my dad better than the average Joe on how to use a smart phone. Not to mention he put a 13 dollar a month protection plan on my Dad's new phone and my upgrade WITHOUT TELLING US. I get they need to try to sell those cash grab plans but at least have balls to tell me what youre gonna try to do, not just slip it in under the radar. Overall not worth the convenience of a Clintonville branch go to a corporate store on Reed rd. Saves you time from having to deal with a washed up salesman. read more
