I assumed this was a real Verizon and not an authorized dealer from their signage. Also made a comment in store that I had previously gone to other dealers and not a real Verizon last time and wouldn't do that again. lol. So after telling me I could get the Hum for free and it wouldn't cost anything, no cancellation fee, I would just have to have it for 24 months (my phone payments are that long anyways) I decided to get it. Since I work at a hospital I was told it was part of the hospital % rate off for hospital and state employees. After getting home I get an email from my Verizon account saying that 3 LINES have been updated on my account and my signature forged twice on two different forms saying that I agreed to pay $40 agreement fee and that if I canceled I would pay $350 each line in cancellations as well as $120 for early cancellations for the Hum. The Agent put his name as 'Cellular Sales Valrico'. I also told him my dad didn't have a smartphone just a regular phone and he didn't think it was pertinent to tell me that Hum doesn't work if you don't have a GPS phone or device with you while you are in the car with HUM. He said that I could use the app on my phone in Florida and tell my dad issues with his car in Massachusetts. Yea it doesn't work like that. So he was also lying to me to get me to buy it. Selling me something that would never work just to get a sale. Super shady. Verizon said that the employee would be coached. What's funny is that he knew exactly what he was doing all along. He thought I was going never going to look at my receipt or that Verizon wouldn't email it to me. What a sorry excuse for a business. I called and they said Carlos was the manager on today but not sure if it was him or not. It was a heavy set guy that sits at a desk to the left. Whatever you do just don't even go in there. So sad you can't even walk in someone today without people trying to take you for your money. It is unfortunate that the proliferation of storefronts, shopping mall kiosks and even flea market stalls hawking mobile phone service under the title of their primary franchise provider have so effectively destroyed what little consumer trust is inherent in the marketplace. Case in point is this storefront under the operational guise of Verizon Wireless as an Authorized Retailer. These sheisters were unable to provide even the simplest of assistance and reinforced pretty much every stereotype of the pushy yet ill-trained and arrogant salesperson. From the sales person who put me on the phone (his personal cell phone) with tech support and then walked away for 20 minutes (effectively doing his job FOR him), to the manager (?) who proceeded to arrogantly share fictitious stores of problems that had nothing to do with my original questions and then outrightly trash-talk other Verizon retailers this authorized store front had me wanting to run to the nearest competitor and leave Verizon in the dust. . Fortunately, I took the time to consider my options and recognized that thus was ONLY an 'Authorised Dealer' and not a true Verizon Wireless Corporate Store. Remembering that one of those was not too far away, I traveled there in hopes of them talking-me-down and providing the customer service assistance I was expecting. The experience at the Corporate Store at the intersection of Providence Road and Lumsden Road was night and day in comparison. Especially in terms of staff training, access to information, and customer service. . Lesson learned = when dealing with Verizon (or perhaps any other wireless carrier), skip the Authorized Dealers and work directly with the genuine Corporate Stores. read more

I too did not realize this store was NOT an actual "Verizon" store. I purchased my cell phone here over a year ago and since then the employees have constantly called my personal cell offering upgrades. Why do they even have my personal cell number?!? Furthermore, while I did purchase an insurance plan with "TechSupport" for my phone, over the course of the year I replaced the debit card from which the plan was paid for and had a new card issued (due to a fraud). 4 mos after issuance of my new card, I'm hit with 4 mos. of insurance back payments (I had forgotten completely about the insurance payment and did NOT provide the new card number to TechSupport!). I am appalled that the store gave TechSupport my new credit card number. I assure you that is the ONLY way TechSupport could have received my new card number. read more

My husband brought his two week old iPhone 7 to the shop since it had lines on the screen. After a brief diagnosis, he was told it had water damage, which we knew not to be true! He Was told it wasn't covered under warranty, which would result in having to purchase ANOTHER new phone! What a try at a ripoff! Went to the Apple Store in the mall, no water damage (surprise, surprise), it was a problem with the phone, which was repaired on site, no charge. Won't be going to this branch again! read more

Ripoff city...turned in iPhone was told would get new LG phone and tablet for free...I would only pay activation fees. My data was lowered as well to "save me money". First bill lots charges a regular Verizon store clerk told me these franchise places sell refurbished equipment. I went back after getting all kinds of charges and manager supposedly took care of. NO, next bill still there. Called sales guy he said oh but your new bill is the same as it was before...sure but now I have less data, still paying monthly now for LG instead of Apple, long story short I would avoid this place and make sure you find the big real Verizon off Providence. read more

I had a very bad experience at the Verizon store. I waited for over an hour to be helped, just to find out that someone had clocked out, and he could have helped me (A employee finally told me this after asking, "Oh, did you need help?" After I has been waiting for an hour.) I went through this tremendously long waiting period just to be told In about 30 seconds that they couldn't help me, and that I would have to go all the way to the apple store to have my phone fixed. My wife and mother in law went to this store to upgrade their phones for $36 each which should have been for the Edge Up Deal. After my wife handed the employee Joe Greene her credit card to pay for both upgraded phones he said it was only $72 that would be charged to her card for my wife and her mother to get the upgraded phones. He ran it for roughly $950 instead of the $72 he told her. Then after she questioned him about why he charged her $950, he proceeded to tell her that he wouldn't be able to refund the money right then. He stated that he would have to go through his management team to get it credited back once she turned in her old phone. My wife and her mom gave him their old phones and we have yet to get our money back. This happened on April 28th 2018 and it is now June 14th 2018 and we still don't have our money back. We've talked to their Manager Nate and he has done nothing, but make excuses and continues saying we'll get our money back and he's doing everything he can to get it back. It shouldn't take 2 months to get our money back when they screwed up. DON'T GO TO THIS FAKE VERIZON STORE! THEY WILL SCAM YOU AND TAKE YOUR MONEY THEN LEAVE YOUR FAMILY SUFFERING DUE TO THEIR INCOMPETENT WORKERS AND MANAGEMENT!!!
