Walked in to exchange my router out. Went in and employee was helping a customer so I sat there waiting for my turn. 45 minutes later employee still never acknowledged my presence or why I was there! I finally asked how much longer and he said he was helping another customer. I left the store and went to Verizon in Matawan employee was on the phone with another customer and asked what I needed. Told her I just needed to swap routers , took all of 5 minutes and while she was on the phone helping someone. Horrible verizon, have walked in twice over an hour each time have not been able to resolve my problem and switch out my phone

Deceptive. I cracked the screen on my iPhone and came here for a Verizon SIM chip (for an old phone to use temporarily).  The sales person said that there was a promotion where I could get a credit for trading in my broken iPhone, and that a new iPhone 12 Pro Max would cost $17/month for 30 months.  AND that he could get EVERYTHING transferred over to the new phone.   I said fine, lets do it. (I had a full backup of my broken iPhone in iTunes, but there are a few things iTunes does not back up that I usually do myself manually.  Since I wasn't expecting to buy a new phone, I had not backed up those few things). Well, after everything transferred over I was told I had to pay tax (which I expected), and a transfer fee of $50.  I was NOT told this in advance, and if I had known I would have purchased from a Verizon company store.  (This is an Verizon authorized retailer).  I asked for my old phone back and to cancel the sale, but the phone was already wiped.  I was first told of how much a convenience this is as they transferred everything.  (My family has had over a dozen iPhones and I always transfer the data on my own).  I was also told (lied to with typical salesman lines) that the promotion was about to end, and I had to buy right now.  I was told the sale was complete in their system (I hadn't signed anything yet), so that they could only offer me accessories for free.  At this point I just wanted to get out of there and took a couple of items. Three days later I check my new recurring Verizon charge and it was $44 more (not the $17 the salesman said it would be). Apparently, insurance was added even though I told him I did not want it (I get Apple Care). (On a re-visit, the manager said he tells his sales people to send everyone out with insurance. Then gives me a story on how a customer broke his phone when he left the store. right). But, the kicker is that the deal I received was only valid for certain plans, so my plan was changed to one that was $10 more a month. Really? I had to speak to a Verizon supervisor to get my old plan back. She had to override the rules. DO NOT go here.  Do yourself a favor and drive 10 minutes to a Verizon company store. Oh, and I am finding many apps on the new phone which need to be configured again.  Not having to do this was supposed to be one of the perks for having them do the $50 transfer. read more

I have been going there for a while now to get my phone. One had a crack in the screen protector recently and I wanted it fixed. So I went back there since I bought it there. They wanted to charge me $50 to replace the protector. They were willing to knock of $10 from the price. I said forget it after I saw it for between $5 and $10 on Amazon. I went to Ifix It and Repair in the Brunswick Square mall. They fixed it on the spot for $10. I understand some mark up, but $40 for something that costs $10 normally. read more

This used to be our go to Verizon store until they renovated it. They used to have excellent customer service, very friendly, always helpful. They used to solve any issues you would have without even charging for a service as long as you were a Verizon customer. They used to beyond and above our expectations. My guess is that they have a new owner and all new staff. The new staff is horrible. They refuse to even helpful transfer a phone line to a new phone and now they are charging $50 for simple services that used to be free, I'm not talking about repair jobs. So upsetting. Not going back there ever again. read more

This used to be a great store I guess management changed because it's not so great anymore Their site says it opens at 9:00 am, it opens at 10:00 even though most people have to get to work and need that 9:00 hour Call their number, the message says they open at 9!! Ugh They also have an open sign in the window when it's closed we need a better Verizon store in the area Ok so here's an update: Maybe new owner/manager but this place went up to a better standard. Happy with everything at my last visit. They did change their signs and webpage to open at 10 even though it would be way more convenient at 9 read more

Place is whack do not go here. I tried getting an issue with my phone fixed and they said they could not help me at all and were condescending because I did not buy the phone through Verizon. They offered no help at all when they are my service provider and the only thing I needed was the service on my phone activated. Do not go here unless you bought your phone from them they will not help. read more

I have never written a review before, but this situation has been enough on my family that it is worth the warning to others. This used to be a great store, but management and employees have changed, and they are not professional. Everyone in my family upgraded their phones recently and made it clear that we did not want our phone bill to go up much in price. The employee promised us a lower monthly bill if we all switched to a higher service package. Soon enough we found out that was not the case. After we found out, my dad did not want to upgrade his phone anymore, and the employee threaten that he upgrade or provide money or else he would turn his phone service off. After that we stopped going to this location but continued to have many problems. The employee charged each person in my family for two phone upgrades and added a bunch of add ons like apple music, Disney+, hulu, and more. All of which we did not request. Verizon headquarters have been extremely helpful in resolving these issues and getting our phone bill back down. Moreover, my phone service keeps turning off and Verizon headquarters does not know why. So, I am currently only able to work off Wi-Fi. I know that we all like using local businesses, especially in a town like Spotswood. But I refuse to utilize their services again and want to inform others. read more

The time it takes to help a client in this store is terrible. There are two registers and usually 1 or 2 and 1 or 2 people working at a time. If the employees are helping others then you'll be standing around like a dummy for a long time and won't be even greeted. If you are going in to buy an accessory, which should be an in and out deal then it may be fast, but it may take a half hour. I've walked out of here a few times, terrible experiences. read more
