AND I will tell you why... Recently, I noticed all the new "deals" on cellphones going around and I really have been with Verizon a really, really long time and despite the 2 previous irritating debacles, I stuck with Verizon. Well, this past week I decided to change companies, update phones and get a new plan, you know, clean house, clean slate, call it a day and walk away, since I was now on a month to month, I found no reason to stay. Our family phones were outdated, my phone was begging for mercy and Mini-Me with her 7k photos and 5k videos, YES this girl could have her own YouTube channel with the amount of stuff she has on her phone, but I digress... Anyway, I sent her off to Verizon to see what I was up against, because, I figured it was the less painful route, but she called me up, shortly after she arrived and said, I needed to head over after work, begrudgingly I did so, like a root canal this was gonna be hell. I walked in and she was smiling (oh no) and she introduced me to Ricardo, who was the Verizon Dude that was going to tell me.. frankly I have no idea what he was gonna tell me, but he was smiling and said he could help with my cell plan pains and out dated phone...Mini-Me told him my Juke story!! But at the end of our conversation and it was in writing, I made an appointment for Saturday (today 5/11/19) Fast forward to today, Mini-Me, Hubby and I walked into the store for our appointment, I know, I know but it was so painless. We went with 3 new phones an iPhone XS Max, Samsung Galaxy s10+, Samsung Galaxy 10s and turned in our old ones (credit). We got the unlimited plan, wireless chargers, screen protectors, cases and with Military discount you need the (DD214) and family insurance on the phones, our bill actually came out to less than what I was currently paying. Now I will tell you that- the twit that helped last time, turned OFF my CLOUD/Backup, so I lost all photos etc of my dad that I had taken before he died, so they are forever lost and finding this out almost broke me, pain in my heart... I need a moment because actually writing that they are gone, hits home, but what can you do? and believe me, Ricardo tried everything to see if he could located this photos on my phone, in an APP, recover, anything and everything but they are gone, sigh. But, he fixed my new phone, so that this would never happen again, thank you. Ricardo was attentive, knowledgeable and patient, he answered all our questions about our plan, phones and concerns, he made changes that for some reason we were not able to on our phone manager section and I was so happy to see that when he switched over each phone, our apps, icons, home screens, texts, email EVERYTHING was exactly as it should be, evidently gone are the days of backing up and re-adding everything, which is a good thing because I can't remember a password to save my life, but I can remember the lyrics to every Romeo Void, New Order and 80's song.. Go figure! Anyway, Ricardo changed my view and opinion of Verizon, just by giving the best possible customer service ever! Thank YOU!!

The iPad was still factory sealed and never activated because I didn't need it. I only took it because I was told it was free. Returning it took OVER an hour because this is not a corporate Verizon store. Overall, the offer was misleading and the return process was extremely frustrating.

So I had called prior and made a 12:30 appointment to trade in my phone. As soon as I stepped inside the place had a funny unpleasant smell to it. Additionally, the store just looked empty, soulless, and depressing. I walk in and no one acknowledges me for a good couple minutes and the person who I made the appointment with Randy wasn't even there. I was told he went to pick up lunch. I was like ok, how long can that really take. I end up waiting 25 minutes... no Randy. In the mean time I hear the other associates say the system is down. I get fed up waiting and go to another associate to see if he can help me. Mind you he did not come up to me and see if I needed help while waiting. He tries to help and can't do anything due to the system being down. While this is happening Randy walks in, 30min late. Pays no heed to me because he forgot the appointment, which was made the same day... Randy did not even care, he did not come up and apologize or anything. It's like he spit on my patronage... I proceeded to walk out and say I will never be returning to this location when the other associate asks if he should call me when the system is up. TLDR some of the worst customer service at a store period.

    If I could give Optimum zero stars, I absolutely would. I've been a loyal customer for over 20…read moreyears, and since Friday I've dealt with nothing but frustration and unacceptable service. A technician came to my home who was unable to handle the job and couldn't communicate without using Google Translate. I was repeatedly assured that everything would be documented in my file, yet nothing ever was. The technician ended up canceling my appointment, and when Optimum called to reschedule, I had to explain the entire situation all over again. After spending two hours on the phone Friday, my appointment was moved to Tuesday, 2/3/26--only for me to later find out that Optimum cancelled it without notifying me. When I called to ask why, no one could give me an answer, nor could they offer any real help. The next available appointment they offered was Friday, 2/6/26, which was completely unacceptable, and I was told there was nothing they could do. I work in customer service and deal with people all day long, so I understand what good service looks like. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic awareness of who was even sent to my home was beyond disappointing. After this experience, I'm relieved to be switching to another internet provider.

Ever since I got the duel Gateway 6 modem a few months ago, I've had nothing but problems, especially with landline internet. It's ludicrous I'm getting charged for a service my family and I can barely use, especially when 5 people have no choice but to drain their cell phone's data just to use the internet. Tech support is not only absolutely terrible, but a severe language barrier for users who speak English only. Optimum's non working modems and dysfunctional tech support is completely unacceptable as a large company! I would never recommend Optimum to anyone, unless you enjoy having no internet access all the time.

    I wanted to take a moment and write this review because of the incredible service I received at…read morethis Verizon Wireless store location. I went to the store to deal with a charging problem with my daughter's iPhone 5. The store manager James MacFarlane greeted me and he immediately began to troubleshoot the issue. After trying several chargers it was determined that there was a problem with the phone itself. He proceeded to inform me about my insurance coverage and actually made the call to the insurance representative on my behalf. He worked with the representative and my daughter will be receiving her new phone in two business days. In addition, James talked me through the instructions via iTunes to back up my daughter's defective phone and how to restore her information when we get the new phone. His caveat was that we could also bring the phone to the store and they would perform the transfer for her. At the same time that we were dealing with the defective phone, James reviewed my account and suggested a few changes that would allow me to purchase a "hot spot" mobile router while lowering my bill so that there wouldn't be any incremental cost (other than an activation charge for the hot spot) in my monthly bill. This solves a commuting issue for me as I work in NYC and this solution will ensure that I have a secure Internet connection for all the devices that I carry (iPhone, iPad and laptop) during the long bus rides. James MacFarlane went above and beyond in servicing not just my initial need for the iPhone, but also to review my account and suggest an additional solution, at no additional cost (by the way, the hot spot came with a rebate for the same price as the device itself, so essentially free). James provides the highest level of service that I as a Verizon customer appreciate. Well Done!
