However, several months ago they switched the company that handles the prepaid debit card that SSI people receive payments on. Since that time my payments have been CHRONICALLY late, & Guardian's inability to meet it's commitments to me (I pay them almost $50 a month to screw up my life this way) has caused problems with my probation. As well as numerous other problems for me including the ability to buy food when I run out of it, & to make any sort of plans ahead of time that involve money. This latest incident I was promised to be paid on Friday (Valentine's day) & wasn't. Because of presidents day I won't get my money until Tuesday, which is 5 days late. Each of those days I can be randomly called up to go take a urine test, & each day that I don't have my money is a potential miss of that. Meaning that their poor choice of companies to manage my debit card could cause me to violate my probation. I've already said if it happens again I will start looking for a payee that will not get me in trouble because they fail to meet their obligations.
