It is an extremely environmentally-friendly way for WMU to reduce reuse recycle furniture, electronics, new lightbulbs, textbooks, a piano, chairs, file cabinets...just about anything you can imagine being used at a University, they have it. Follow their facebook page (WMU surplus sales) for up-to-date inventory (new things posted weekly!), but definitely stop by to see what they have. I was pleasantly surprised. Office chairs are $3! What was particularly funny to me were the industrial-type desk staplers...they would make a GREAT gift for someone that loves stapling. This has been the biggest shopping surprise in my entire time living in Kalamazoo. You'll never know what you will find! The staff are SO kind and friendly. Parking: there is a lot across the street; do not park on the street. EVEN better, the entrance is at the back by the loading dock, so park back there. Anything eventually not sold gets broken down and recycled. I LOVE this environmentally-wise way that WMU works. Bravo!

I downloaded their app onto my iPhone and it listed their Saturday hours at the Grandville location as 9AM to 9PM. I immediately drove there, arriving around 8:30 PM. Although there were employees working in the store the doors were locked. When I checked the Hours sign in the window it said 9AM to 8PM for Saturday. I won't be wasting my time driving to that store again on Saturday...or any other day for that matter. Shame on you Office Max! The only reason I gave you one star is because I didn't have the option of giving you none.

I have been trying to contact customer service at Herman Miller via phone and email multiple times to radio silence. UPDATE: even worse - they messed up my shipping. It's been 2 weeks since my chair shipped per the Herman Miller shipping confirmation email and it's been sitting in a warehouse for the last week. Those people are so incompetent.

We received the 2 everywhere rectangular table and just had time to put it together a moment ago…read moreand found some defect on the desk. Both are white table tops and the defected spots are pretty obvious as you can see in the pictures. Please see the attached pictures for your reference. Picture 1&2 -doesn't seem like it got damaged during the delivery. It seems like it's been made and put together that way since the edges are put together leaving the gap opened. Picture 3 -Black lines that we could not wipe off. There are few spots like this on both of the table tops Picture 4 -On one of the desk top, there's about 10 small dots that look like it's been stabbed or burnt Honestly, we are extremely disappointed at the condition of the desk especially because they are both white and we can see the flaws very well. I'm not sure why the table tops weren't wrapped with vinyl or plastic wraps. There were only styrofoam pieces to hold the table top in place in side the box. I almost thought the packaging and the product were those of IKEA except for the fact that these were actually heavy. LOL Not funny at all. This is definitely not the quality of the product we expected from Herman Miller and we are worried about the quality of the two Mirra 2 chairs that we ordered as well. Would I ever purchase anything from Herman Miller again? Uhhhh. Me thinks not.
