I don't write reviews, however, Verizon deserves a "shout out". For the past 15 years, Verizon has had the most reliable network coverage for us. We have the family plan and it is much better than their competitors. Our family has been with Verizon for more than 15 years - each year comparing to their competitors. Horrible customer service! Not sure if it's pure laziness or just they hate their customers, hate their job... can't quite put my finger on it! I continue to come to this location and continue to have absolute dog shit customer service. I think they receive a Christmas bonus for NOT helping you because that's the only thing that makes sense. Honestly don't waste your time here. The staff seems bothered to help you. I spend 100s of dollars a month with Verizon and never complain about anything. However I have a phone with a defect and when I went I was told it would be an hour to an hour an half wait when there was 2 people in the store and at least 4 employees. While I understand their demeanor is likely tied to try and get people to use Verizon.com I don't want to wait 2-3 days for a replacement or loaner phone. You could do better Verizon. read more

Verizon - Avoid the Elmore Store - Mobile Phones Near Me - Davenport, Iowa

Get a free iPhone 15 the ad said. My daughter warned me it was a scam, but we went in person to sign up. There was no mention of a contract, but I found out there was one later. We were quoted a price for two lines which was the same we had been paying. When we got the billing information we were signed up to pay $35 more per month than we were told. One loyalty discount promised was taken away for no reason. I chatted online to no avail, so my husband went in person to see why we were lied to. He was told that the clerk made a mistake?? Did some research and many customers had also fallen victim to this "bait and switch" deal, as it is now termed. So beware, get things in writing, and remember there is no such thing as a Verizon free phone. read more

Super non-empathetic to our circumstances and offered very little support to us. The manager said they couldn't do anything for us, yet we went home and worked with Verizon customer support online and got all our questions answered and helped us problem solve. Don't waste your time going to this store, Verizon's call and online support are much more helpful. read more

The short man standing at the front of the store on Saturday, September 23, at 2:00 PM was not only rude but outright disrespectful to me during my limited time in the Davenport store. He acted as if I was incapable of answering his questions, going so far as to laugh at me, and only repeated himself in the same condescending tone when asked follow-up questions on offers available for existing customers, rather than change his language to help me make any sort of purchase in-store. He has left an impression on the brand as a whole and my choice to continue with Verizon. Very unfortunate. read more

My wife and I went to the Verizon store this morning to look at new phones and see about switching back to Verizon. We were told there would be a 10 to 15 minute wait and asked to wait in the car; they will call when a rep is ready for us. 25 to 30 minutes later, we leave because we have other things to get done today. An hour and 20 minutes later, someone finally calls and asks if we still need help. You have got to be kidding me. This is some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. read more

I decided to stop in the store to find out why my car dealer (twice) told me that my phone was incompatible with my new car. The store was busy. When I engaged a clerk he told me that he had no clue and that it was the dealer's issue. I asked him for specifics and he told me that he would register me, but there were six others ahead of me before he would get to me. I walked out, none the better for the experience. All I want is a little honesty and integrity in business. At this Verizon store, my experience leads me to believe that you will find neither. My wife and I went yesterday to 1) get two new cell phones and to 2) switch my plan over from AT&T. Chad, our agent, seemed helpful enough. He talked us through the plans (rapidly, but he answered our questions). We decided on phones and I switched my service. All is well right? Well, no. Chad told us that with our plan we get all sorts of freebies - a car charger a piece, phone protectors and covers, and an external battery a piece for those moments when you need some juice and aren't near an outlet. He laid them out on the counter, asked us to pick our free gear. We signed. We paid. We wondered about what we paid for. So, my wife called Verizon today to go through the receipt. The customer service representative was very nice and she explained that we each paid $100 ($200 total) for the "free" gear. We filed a report, but I wonder if this will be taken seriously. Why do I believe that this isn't Chad running rogue, but a part of their training - something they do. Not off to a good start Verizon. read more

My wife and I went to this Verizon location to find out some information on wireless internet for our laptops when we travel. A women who works there started to speak with us, but abruptly stopped to "check in" other customers. I found this to be very rude since she already started a conversation with us. I told them if they can't give us their undivided attention then we'll go to another Verizon location to get better service. I walked out and left. read more

If I could give a zero rating- I would! These are the rudest sales people. I have been there 4 times, have waited up to 1 hour and am treated poorly each time. Today, I asked for a new cord and was told he couldn't help. He grabbed the cord and said that it was damaged and threw it down. I said so what can I do and he said maybe Target and walked away.
