We went in for new phones and service. Our salesperson Hiro is a nice guy but pushes hard. We purchased a combo phone case/charger/screensaver kit. Hiro explained that everything had a lifetime warranty, bring it in and we replace it for free. the screen protector cracked so we went in to have it replaced. The manager said it was a "miscommunication", the screen protectors were not replaced free but he would do it this time. He kept saying that. When you sell something stating it has a lifetime warranty, that is not a miscommunication, that is a lie. Not only did they lie about services, they added on features we had not discussed or requested. If you need a new phone, I advise to go elsewhere or order online and save yourself the trouble. read more

Verizon has the highest cost service$70/mo. I am a senior trying to get a lower plan and they don't want to help or even give you a track phone plan even though they have them. The store cannot help you with an issue like plan swap. They think they have you hooked but I'm going to another service . This was the worst customer service experience I have had in a very long time. My wife and I wanted to upgrade our iPhone 11s to iPhone 14s. We were greeted upon entering and our name was put on the list. The text message we received from Verizon said there was 1 person ahead of us. We sat down. 3 people entered the center and were assisted by some blonde lady who looked to be the manager. We were talked to or advised when we would be served. Over 30 minutes went by and no one helped us or talked to us. There were plenty of workers but I guess they didn't want to do an "upgrade" If this is the experience I was going to receive, I was going to go to T-Mobile. We then went to the Kamuela store where we were immediately greeted and helped by Ben & Maile. They couldn't have been nicer and more gracious. They saved my account from leaving. read more

The good is a representative named Tim. He knows what he is doing and gets things done. Kind, personable and knowledgeable. Ask for him! The bad is representative named Jorge and the store manager named Carissa. Not once, but twice we have encountered Jorge. He knows next to nothing. He must be a recent hire but is working by himself with no trainer. A total waste of time both encounters. First visit was a technical issue for me. The second visit was to set a new plan for my husband. Jorge could do neither. The manager, Carissa, did not try to help Jorge or me. She actually walked away saying she would be right back, and never came out of the back room. The culture in that store is not good unless you can get Tim. If the Kailua Kona store is there only to sell product, then say "there are no technical services available". My rating is a 3 star because of Tim. Were it not for him my rating would be a 1 star. read more

I'm literally sitting in the store. Been in and out of here 4 times, spoken with managers who gave me false information on rebates. I switched over from AT&T and part of the reason was the rebate I was told I would get. I've had to come back in to ask where my rebate is and all they could do was apologize and tell me they were wrong. They told me I could call their "Loyalty Team" - was on hold for 2 hrs only to be told they can't help me. I shouldn't have switched from AT&T. Employee walked out saying they're closed and told me sorry, don't think they're gonna let anyone in. I told her I live in Kohala which is over an hour away. She just said sorry and quickly walked away. I'm pregnant and irritated with a broken phone that I showed her. All she could say was sorry. Although the initial transaction at the store was fine, when my upgrade phone did not get delivered due to missing digits on the shipping docs with FedEx, the manager was no help at all. She suggested I go to FedEx at KOA, that the address issue happens all the time, and that it wasn't their issue (even though they arranged the shipping and apparently made the error with the shipping address). She would not accept ANY responsibility for the issue nor did she take any affirmative action to resolve the issue other than give me FedEx's 800 number (which is only an automated system and could provide no info). It took multiple calls (and hours) to Verizon customer service over multiple days to finally get them to ship a replacement phone. The verdict is still out on when and if I will see a new phone. read more

I went in to purchase a new phone and air pad. There were 2 employees and one customer. The employee not helping came and told me I needed to make an appointment to be helped. I explained I knew what I wanted and she stated I could get an apt in 30 minutes. I left and traveled to the mainland a few weeks later where I went into an Apple store and spent over $2,000. for my new phone and pad. I really hope they work on commission in Kona. I went into Verizon wanting to upgrade my phone to an iPhone 14pro when I in was put back buy the rude and obnoxious sales person "Vincent". I did not have my phone ID with me at the time but I had my drivers license with me but my phone contains all of my Verizon information photos front and back of my drivers license, ... when I tried to explain that he became arrogant and turn his back on me and walked away before I could even request to start the sale as I want home to get my drivers license and return. Any local satellite store for a major company is only there for customer service and to present a positive face for Verizon to their potential and current customers to maintain business. You have a loosing combination in this employee. I can get man Apple phone and service from any carrier. You just lost 2 customers between my wife and I. I went in on Tuesday September 8th to do an insurance claim, of course while confirming the order for my new phone the representative (that I'll keep anonymous due to small town talk) wanted to confirm my address for the shipping of my new device, I kindly advised him that my street name( IN HAWAII) is very hard to pronounce and spell! He laughed and blew me off as if I was joking (RUDE) he than asked me to spell it out 4 different times, I kindly asked him if I could check the spelling on his IPad that he's putting all my info into, he refuses to let me confirm the spelling and confirms the order anyway! So 2 days go by and I'm contacted by my local FedEx that a package has arrived with no street name but with all my other address info, NOW IM UPSET! I was supposed to receive my phone next day on Wednesday September 9th but now have to wait another 2 days for the device to get sent back to the warehouse and sent back to me with my CORRECT ADDRESS ON IT! For just me and my wife I pay close to 300$ a month! A RIDICULOUSLY HIGH PRICE and can't even get some ADEQUATE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I mean cmon if you can't even put my info correctly into an IPad I don't think Verizon is the correct occupation for you, BUT WAIT IT DOESN'T END HERE! I don't think I've ever reviewed a non food place but wow. The manager William is SO rude for no reason at all. We came in trying to transfer my number from one Verizon account to another, and he greeted us. Before we could finish asking for help, he cut us off and told us he wouldn't help and that we had to use the app. I tried to explain we were working on that ALL DAY already with error messages but he kept the attitude and left. Literally refused to hear us out. By the time he finally came and looked and I showed him the error message, he was surprised and didn't know what to do and told me to call Verizon. I then watched him walk around helping other people for an hour without ever bothering to come over. Generally speaking; his demeanor was so unwarranted. Even if he couldn't help, he didn't have to be a jerk. We finally got corporate on the phone and they were nice and helpful so this is not a knock on Verizon, it's a knock on William, the single rudest customer support person I've literally ever met in my life. read more
