Just a heads up to everyone with the Verizon app. When you pull in the parking lot you will receive a push notification to check in online before walking into the store. DO NOT do that. I checked in on the app, saw I was the next person in the queue, and waited for a text before walking in. When I was greeted I was told I was unable to be moved to the "front of the line" because people walked in before I walked in. I pointed to my phone and said I had been waiting in line already, and that I checked in before they walked in. She saw on her iPad and my phone that I was next in line but said I would be placed at the bottom of the queue. I watched at least 3 groups of individuals walk in after I checked in and I was not willing to wait for them to be helped considering I already waited in my car for 10 minutes so I left. It was very frustrating considering every other business where you check in online, you get placed in line based on the time you check in. The walk-ins after you are placed behind you in the queue. Don't send notifications to follow the app check in process if it's not honored in the store. read more

Absolutely awful. The guy who helped me(last name rivers) was on TikTok the WHOLE time he was "helping" me. Then he told me he had to leave for lunch break and he wasn't even finished transferring me old phone to new phone. Not sure why he's even working there. not to mention my new phone didn't even activate until the next day and still hasn't been working right. I had made the mistake of purchasing my phone and watch from a franchise Verizon. The really sold me a bill of goods. Example: after the purchase was complete, I asked for instructions for my new Android phone and watch. It was then they told me they could not help me because they personally used Apple products. I had to visit a Factory store in Lynchburg and pay to have a lesson. Further the billing I received was not what they told me. I took all paperwork to the Factory store in Lynchburg on Wards Rd. The young man listened to my tale of woe and worked to resolve my problems. He was kind and took care of all the complaints I had. He talked to Verizon and resolved my billing problem. He was kind and willing to go out of his way. I went home and thanked God for this man. My blood pressure was down by a lot from when I arrived filled with anxiety. His name is Anthony M. All representatives should treat customers like Anthony did. I am grateful to him. read more

Super professional and kind staff. So many of the reviews about this place are about Verizon as a company, which isn't the point of reviewing one particular store. They're great here and really show the customer a high level of service. Definitely would recommend coming in to the store if you need assistance with anything related to Verizon. It's always disappointing to see people leave negative reviews for a branch or store location when the staff who works there is truly excellent and always try to help in any way they can. read more

My experience at this store was AWFUL. I went to this Verizon store later in the afternoon and was told we were gonna be on a wait for a couple of minutes before an associate would be able to help us. We have waited in the store for 45-50 MINUTES or even longer for an associate to even try to get to us. Given, it was sort of busy but there were plenty of moments where associates could've help assisted us. ALL OF THE ASSOCIATES knew we were waiting a long time to be helped but still didn't help assist us. Instead we saw associates go to the back door a lot, have 3 associates help one customer (They were goofing off and talking about shoes instead of phones), and they were on their phones while we and the other customers were waiting. I decided enough is enough and left. I went to a different Verizon store at Timberlake and we were helped in less than 5 MINUTES!!! The sad thing was the Verizon store at Timberlake only had 1 associate working during that afternoon and seemed to be more busier than the one at Wards and still he was able to get to us in a couple of minutes while assisting other customers. All I wanted at this Ward Rd store was to be helped and possibly get a new phone but the poor and careless associates couldn't even help us or at least tell us we will be helped soon. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE, YOUR BETTER OFF GOING TO THE STORE IN TIMBERLAKE OR FOREST. I recommend you train your associates properly for other customers sakes. read more

The verizon wireless store on Wards Rd, Lynchburg, VA gave me a phone that already had the glass shield on it upside. They refused to accept responsibility . There were about 3 associates standing around doing nothing but talking. When I spoke of my problem they said that was impossible. No empathy for Customer. What I was telling them was true. They were intent on making me seem stupid. I asked for the manager and he did come out with the same attitude. I will never enter that store again. read more

I tried to return a phone about a year ago. I did not like it. It was the end of the month. I was low on cash and asked if they would possibly waive the restocking fee. They refused to do anything to help me out! I talked to someone at the 800 customer service number. They told me since i bought a phone at the store that they could do nothing. They did tell me that it would have been good customer service if the store had been willing to help me out. That ruined my credit with Verizon. All over a restocking fee! I went to go switch my phone to a new phone. I waited a long time to see a sales rep which is to be expected. When I finally got to a sales rep she accidently switched out my mom's line and I went off with my mom's phone number and my mom's phone no longer worked. I went back and my rep changed my new phone to the right phone. However, she did not switch over my insurance. So now my phone is broken and i cannot file a phone claim because of her mistake. I have tried calling the store five times at different part of the day and everytime it says all the representatives are busy. I spoke to a representative from the company's customer services and said this is something the store can only fix. I am very frustrated at the lack of customer service for the location at Wards. I have been out of a phone for 3 days and counting. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a phone service. read more

When I paid off my I phone I decided to sign up for unlimited on jUst my I phone , because my wife only uses her flip phone 5 or 6 times a month. They should have only been charging me $30 / mo for my withs flip phone , but they have been charging $75 / mo. I am going to this location to get it resolved. Brad was so helpful! I'm at school for the week away from home and my phone (iPhone 5- I know) bit the dust! I was so anxious and worried being away from home and having to use phone for classwork. Brad said no problem and helped right away. He hooked me up with a new phone and helped me learn to use (a little technologically not inclined) and I was in and out in a half hour. I was just in here about 5 minutes ago the technician I spoke with was named Adam. He was very unprofessional and his body language spoke volumes! I feel as though if you don't like where you work do not work there. He continually shook his head and then snatched my phone asking to see if he could maybe see the problem I needed my phone back to put the password in as soon as I maintained my phone I headed for the door. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Just to simply buy a new iPhone and trade in the old one required 3 visits to this awful store, with awful customer service. A call-back request to the store manager never materialized, and none of these customer service reps could complete the job of getting my new phone up and running (Verizon, why do you try to make your customers act as technicians? We pay through the nose for this lousy, rotten, and surly service; the least you could do is complete the set up.) Despite all those visits to the store with workers who are barely able to communicate, let alone do their job, this act of getting a new iPhone required multiple calls to the Tech Coach (almost equally as worthless, one of whom told me to delete all my data on the new phone .... uh, that would be a no.). After years of being with Verizon, no more. Who has time or the stomach for this kind of treatment? Oh, and I'll probably get to enjoy the experience of paying Verizon an "early termination fee," to go with another carrier. Verizon is crooked and this store in Lynchburg is the WORST. read more

I moved into Brookneal six months ago. The only internet options are cell or satellite. I heard nothing but bad stuff regarding satellite even though the install tech spoke glowingly of it. I went with a Verizon jetpack after the sales rep, Jeff, told us how wonderful it was. He stated how the 15gb was a non issue as he and his girlfriend used around 90gb per month and NEVER saw a degradation in service or speed. Stupidly, I bought into his sales pitch. Even when we've got plently of data the service sucks! Watching Netflix is impossible due to the piss poor service. After the 15gb is used up it would be faster to walk to the library and back than wait on Verizon service. I spoke to an online tech which was sympathetic and suggested Fusion. She told me it would be free for me. Well, I dropped by the store and was told the equipment was free but the lowest plan was 15gb and $60 additional charges (plus taxes) on top of the jetpack plan I'm already paying for! I stopped him in his tracks telling him I'll never give Verizon another dime for crappy service. I consider it criminal that the sales reps are allowed, probably encouraged, to promote a plan knowing full well that if the service stinks the customer has no out for 2 freaking years.
