However, I would like to recognize the Technical Support Team, as they patiently assist whenever I call. In particular, I'd like to recognize Al in Technical Support for his 5-star efforts to assist me with a telephone issue last night. For some reason, every time I called my mom's Buckeye landline from my cell phone yesterday, I would get horrible static. Al took the time to check my mom's line by calling her several times, including calling her from an AT&T line (my cell phone provider). He suggested that the problem could be due to something on AT&T's end. We agreed to end our call so I could attempt to resolve the issue with AT&T and that he would call me back approximately 45 minutes later. Al kept his word and followed up with me as promised. While we were unable to resolve the problem last night, he offered to have a tech go to my mom's home to troubleshoot further. By this morning, my problem was somehow resolved and my mom reported that she was having better sound clarity than ever on her phone. We were both impressed with Al's diligence and dedication. While Buckeye receives many negative comments about its high cost, (and rightly so), I do want to give a shout-out to Al in Technical Support for going above and beyond. Thanks so much Al! We appreciate you!

I didn't want to use Xfinity or AT&T (although Provide.net uses AT&T to provide their service) because I didn't want to be locked in a contract. I am month-to-month. At the beginning of my service, I bought a modem/router for $100 straight from Provide.net. This is great bc I do not pay a rental fee for the modem. I own it and it hasn't outdated in 3 years and I am sure I will get many more years out of it. My service costs me $40 a month. I pay every 3 months at once (this is how they do their billing) but that is fine for me. The service is DSL, but I see no difference between that and fiber/cable, which I have used in the past. Zero difference! So why pay more? I am streaming Netflix on one or two devices at the same time and someone else is probably using the Internet in the house too. The speed is fast. Everyone can do what they need to do. Also, in 3 years, I haven't had bouts of lost connection. The Internet is always working fine. It is 100% reliable. I am thankful for Provide.net because I can walk right into their storefront on Hewitt 10 minutes from my house and talk to a real human if I ever needed, which I don't, but I could. They are also not like corporate Xfinity puppet people, who totally suck! They are real guys who are totally upfront and casual to talk with. I'm never leaving Provide.net and highly recommend it to home Internet users.

You first have to go through a computer AI support (terrible) before you can get to a human, which is based overseas. They struggled to understand me making me repeat myself multiple times. There response time and handling of service requests is also terrible. I was recently having work done on the outside of my house and the wire was accidentally cut. I had to wait 6 days to get someone out to repair it. I wasn't happy but it was my fault but luckily the contractor was able to splice it so I still had Internet. They came out, "fixed" it and left. An hour later, the internet still had not come back up so I called. I was told I'd have to wait another 6 days before they could come back out and try again. IMO the service tech should not have left until confirming it was working that failing they should have made me a priority since it was their failure. I understand employee shortages but their are methods of putting schedules together to bake in time for high priority calls. Needless to say I found another provider that was able to squeeze me in 2 days later.

What's not acceptable is they get paid for not being trained and putting us on hold until we hang up. They know wtf they are doing. Does the company?

I have never had Wi-Fi…read moreat the house but I figured I would give it a shot to try to increase my internet speed when I'm at home. Over the course of 10 months and having it personally installed and paying for that installation, I've had to reset the router at least 20 times. I've called customer service at least a dozen times because the Wi-Fi just goes out whenever it feels like. So what's the purpose of having the Wi-Fi if I end up having to use the hotspot on my phone? Then of course after 6 months the price goes from the intro rate of $50 to $100 a month and it seems like the internet just goes that much slower at that point. I don't use the internet a whole bunch. I may watch a movie occasionally and I had a fire stick on a second TV in the bedroom. Maybe check my email. Nothing ridiculous and I was not able to get good service. So after 9 months I discontinue my service and took my modem up here to the Buckeye office. When I discontinued my service you would think they would have told me where to take it but no. They tacked on the modem to my final bill. When I called customer service they were not helpful at all on telling me a location to return it. When I went to this location the customer service representatives were nice but so are the people at the car dealerships. They did let me know that I had received an older modem and that's probably why I was having so many issues. But as I told him over the dozen phone calls and 24 resets no one told me this and why would they give me a old modem when I'm opening up new service. No way.
