Miracle workers. Started classes at HVCC yesterday and dropped my phone- totally bugged up my SIM. I walked in today and within ten minutes my SIM card was replaced no charge. Never again! Went to the North Greenbush store during working hours on a Monday. The sign on the door stated that the store was open. HOWEVER, THE DOOR WAS LOCKED AND THE BLINDS WERE SHUT?!? No explanation. No other signs. NOTHING! I needed a car charger, so I went to a Verizon contractor on Columbia Turnpike, who helped me!!!! IT WAS THE CONTRACTOR THAT TOLD ME THAT THE VERIZON IN NORTH GREENBUSH IS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Verizon must not worry about losing customers, if It can randomly close a store, change its hours and/or policies? I am shocked that regular customers from the area were not informed by even a sign on the door. North Greenbush is a booming area. Every time I have gone to this location, it has been busy! Obviously, taking care of many Verizon customers is not important. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Disgusted. read more

If I could rate this store with no stars I would. The staff there is very rude and doesn't take the time when you go in with an issue. It makes you feel like you are bothering them. None of the staff has name tags so I couldn't even tell you who I was dealing with. Instead of seeing if they can help you they tell you to call and speak with customers care. Never in a millions years will I ever go back to that store. It should be closed down. I will drive the 30 minutes to a different store. read more

Be prepared to waste your time! Some of the sales reps are completely incompetent and will give you false information. I can understand a mistake...but own up to it and apologize to your customers if you are in the wrong. I spent over an hour at this store yesterday after being told I could upgrade to a new phone. I had already told the salesperson that my phone was not working and that this was the reason for my visit... well guess I wasn't eligible for that promotional upgrade after all because ...wait for it...my phone was not in "good condition." Uh yeah.... that's the first thing I told her! I also told her that another rep told me I wasn't eligible for that upgrade earlier in the day for that reason (yes this was also my SECOND trip there that day) and that I was surprised that this had changed. Do you think she bothered to check with that other rep to clarify why I was told two different things? No- she assured me I could get the new phone. I spend an hour listening to my options and selecting the new phone only to be told at check out that I wasn't eligible after all. Total waste of time. No apology offered. I will NEVER come back to this store. In fact, I'm looking into switching carriers completely after that experience. What a joke. Oh and by the way...phone insurance is a huge rip off. I have paid 9.00 per month all along and have never had to use the insurance. Now my old, outdated phone is no longer working. It's a galaxy s4 and they aren't even made anymore.... in order to be sent a replacement I have to come up with another 150.00 out of pocket. That is absurd... I could understand that kind of charge for a newer phone but not an s4. Next time, I'll skip the insurance. Useless!!! read more

When the latest update cost me all my contacts, on my cell and in the could, I went here seeking advice. After a wait of about 15 min....The GM of the store came out to help me and couldn't seem to do anything. To which he told me to start backing up my information to Google and not to Verizon cloud!!! The best advice he said he could give me was to just put up a facebook post telling people I lost my contacts. I was so angry I came home to contact them on a live web tech to which my contacts were restored in under 4 min....So the other posts claiming they are completely incompetent is a spot on. read more

Was "greeted" (ok not really, I had the smile he said pretty much nothing) by an associate who clearly could have cared less about his job, my phone or any phone for that matter. He did nothing for me and offered no assistance. I'm not always sure what questions to ask because tech isn't my thing but this associate didn't even point me in the right direction. After leaving Crossgates Verizon frustrated and near tears I wound up at East Greenbush Verizon. The whole feel of the store was totally welcoming and had a positive vibe. All of the associates I observed while waiting were focused on their customers and friendly. We had Zach and he was fantastic. He spent a good deal of time with us answering questions, making suggestions, explaining phone plans and was very detailed in his information. I will definitely go back to this store and totally recommend this store. read more

Some of the pushiest sales people you'll ever encounter. They will tell you anything and hound you constantly. They actually signed my kids phones up for a Verizon mapping app without my consent. This is for drivers and my kids 11 and 14. Was told "it comes free" and then it showed on the bill. Nice! Avoid at any cost. read more

This is the second time I have left this store feeling like I'm getting harrassed and pressured. It's not a car dealership. No means no and you should only need to decline it once. I purchased a phone and accessory bundle on 8/9/19 to setup a new prepaid account with verizon. After a week of having zero to 1 bar signal I opted to return the items. The solution manager refunded me the phome after a bit of hassle for not being able to locate my customer account because I ported my number back to tmobile. No where on their receipt or website does it say a customer account has to remain active to return device and accessories. The store manager wouldn't refund me $40 on an accessory I paid because his store associate made an error and never scanned the correct item. Due to this associate's incompetence I am being penalized. Trying to get a human being to speak with through their customer care number is nearly impossible and the system even hangs up if you're not a current customer with them. After filing a complaint with BBB, I get a phone call from executive member jocelyn sisko who basically fed me the same B.S. the store did. You can't return merchandise unless you are a current customer with verizon. So if you're not loyal to their network they will not help you and in fact will "steal" your money. Her explanation makes no sense and this isn't rocket science. I gave her my order number receipt number which is Proof of Purchase which in any other normal retail store would be sufficient and all you need in order to get a refund on item you were charged. If a non verizon customer walks into a verizon store to purchase a phone case and two days later tries to return guess what, they just robbed you and you'll not get a refund back. When you enter a store, if your number isn't in their network they will act like you're a ghost. I'm so glad to have switched back to tmobile. I've posted this review on multiple social media sites to warn other people to beware of the shady business practices this company partakes it. read more

THE WORST! Cant believe i have to give these guys 1x star. Stay away from this place. 10 days ago my wife went over to trade in her Galaxy S3 for a the Galaxy Note 5. She calls me from Verizon North Greenbush and tells me that she can get $300 off of the Galaxy S7 when it comes out on 11March. I told her that sounds ridiculous. Sales rep named Courtney said it was part of the launch promotion. She said that the only stipulation was that she had to get her screen fixed which cost $120. Still...$180 difference, so not a bad deal. I went over there later that week just confirm this promotion and to understand the terms and conditions and she personally confirmed that the the total cost was $372 instead of $672. Like morons, we believe the hype and get our screen fixed only to find out that the trade in value is only $100 off. My wife explains to the sales rep a male at that time, that Courtney instructed us to get our screen fixed in order to take advantage of the promotion. Sales rep says that there is no promotion and to come back tomorrow and talk to Courtney in person. We do so and we wait a good 30 minutes while Courtney disappears into the back to get her story straight. Anyway, she comes out and says that we misunderstood her, that the phone was "up to" $300 off and that she explained to us that we were taking risk by getting the phone fixed. So just to sum things up, this woman talked us out of the Note 5, lied about a S7 promotion, instructed us to get our screen fixed and cost us 3 visits to Verizon and 1x to the phone repair Kiosk in Crossgates. On our way back to crossgates to buy the Note 5! Hope this helps. read more

I went in to Verizon yesterday. Stood there for a good 20 to 30 minutes before I stoped a gentleman(that had walked by me three time previously) to check me in, or get someone to help me. He checked me in, and I waited another 20 to 30 minutes before someone came to help me. I went online on black Friday, and they had a deal on the galaxy s7. No were did it say that it was ending Friday. Actually at the bottom of the site it said all bf deals are good until Monday. So since I don't really like doing things like this online I decided I'd go in after work on Saturday. I was told that the deal ended Friday, and there was nothing they could do. I even talked to the manager who told me the same thing. After 7 years of being a loyal customer I'm looking into changing phone companies. read more

I went to the store because my phone has operating oddly lately, and I am eligible for an upgrade. But I am generally very happy with my phone, so when staffperson, Nica, told me that she could re-set it so that I could possibly keep my phone a little (or maybe a lot) longer, I was happy. Sold my mother a refurbished phone. They couldn't get the voicemail to work properly. Took a solid month of over 6 hours on phone with Verizon and 5 trips to store for them to finally figure it out. Terrible service, staff is not knowledgeable, managers are non-existent. My experience with this store has me switching my entire family to another carrier. Will not be returning to this location ever again! When they found out we were not getting a smart phone they started treating my wife and I poorly. No details were provided on contract being signed . When i inquired about what i was signing for the employee replied its pretty basic you know what it is. No documentation was provided to me with contract merely a signature on a blank tablet screen. When I asked for the manager I was told the manager has already gone home for the day. We had to make two trips because the employee told us it would be cheaper to order the phone online when it was the same price so we were forced to return to the store. read more

Do not deal with this store. I went on a Thursday to report a phone problem and they ordered a new phone, however it was the wrong model. I went back Friday and saw the mistake but they could not give me a replacement. I called Verizon multiple times and was told that the right one was ordered now and I should receive it Saturday. I kept calling to get a staus and was getting different stories until I was told that the pervious customer support reps all told me the wrong thing and now I won't get a replacement until Monday, and that's a maybe because Monday is a holiday. All I got was many excuses. The customer support reps great you nicely, don't tell the true. I will be 4 days without a phone, all because the store made a big error and won't fix it. Don't go this store. The staff doesn't have a clue on how to fix their errors or they want to do is sell expensive phones and the manager is never available. I suggest you go to another carrier. read more
