I the called the Verizon call center customer service to get a transfer port pin and repeatedly they sent it to my mothers phone which does not work anymore , and I told them I cannot access her phone since it does not work it is broken. Can they please send it to her email? But instead they say they can only send it in a text message. If I cannot access her phone. Holy crap was I met with the most lazy unprofessional people ever. I have a business account and I don't want it deal with overseas phone support because they don't understand me and I can hardly understand them and they have messed up my account multiple times. I did not wait, I left, I cannot do anything with my phone, do not have an hour to wait just to start getting help. Echoing those on this website who were treated rudely by the Sugarhouse Verizon. In our case, we were told that Verizon could not help us retrieve a pin for a broken phone (that can't receive texts) belonging to an elderly widow who relies on the phone as a lifeline. Also, refused to cancel the service for us because the account owner is the deceased husband. Zach was the ineffective manager who "helped" us. Verizon is the company who will not cancel the service yet continues to bill us. Trying to file a complaint at corporate regarding ageism, but apparently you need a pin to do that. read more

So my step mother passed away on the 6th from Covid. My father is in the icu fighting for his life. I was told I could give her phone back Scott free and cancel her line to help us out. Also which is posted on their policy. (Store told me no charges would be made) I just got a $250 fee as well as other bogus fees raising our bill up to almost $800!! Funny I can't post the screen shots here.. so I hit up the chat line. Zero help, beats around the bush! Then I say it's taking advantage of your customers in a time of mourning as I would've kept the phone had I know I was going to be charged all of these fees and end up paying for it anyways. He responds with "I'm sorry you feel that way" seriously?! This was supposed to be a relief not to make things financially harder for us all in all tells me to go back to the store that told me this. Beware that due to the Pandemic and the amount of people needing assistance at Verizon, there will be a wait. You can give one of the employees at the door your name and phone number, and can receive a text letting you know when they are ready for you. I came when it was pretty busy and they said it would be an hour wait, but it was about 40-45 minutes. The shopping center is fairly interesting to browse, and there is a new target. Miguel was very helpful and set me up with a new iPhone 12, case, screen protector, wireless charger, and different plan. He is very knowledgable about the information and different plans with Verizon. Overall, I am impressed with the kindness and training the employees here possess. I went to this location at the beginning of the year to upgrade my phone, it wasn't until I paid in full for my phone purchase completely that I realized that the woman that helped me upgrade my phone also decided to upgrade my device protection plan without my knowing. I was puzzled why my phone bill was still high after I paid off my phone purchase until I sat down and compared an old bill to a new bill. I will find a different location to use from now on to avoid any "extra" plan upgrades that I'm not aware of. read more

This place is so slow! There is always 5 or 6 employees working and only 1 or 2 actually talking with customers. Nothing in the store is self serve and they make it impossible to do anything without waiting for help. Yeah, this place is no bueno! I have been here several times and mostly it has been tolerable, but this last time was terrible. The salesman and the manager both accused me of lying to have my phone sent back via warranty. I was told it was out of warranty by 2 weeks and needed to buy a new phone... all this after my phone was wiped (without my permission) and this same store constantly ignored my service complaints for months. When I went back the following day with the paperwork proving I was still under warranty I was told that no such such statement was made and I was being dishonest, despite the fact that the entire conversation was documented with the online customer service center and my friend had witnessed the entire exchange. Going into a Verizon outlet generally means you may as well be prepared to spend a bunch of time. I hate their registration thing when you walk in and looking at the sign talking about setting up an appointment, one gets the distinct feeling that their attitude is you are there for them, not the other way around. It must be a pleasure to do business there...except it isn't. At all. I'm picking on this store because it's the most recent one I've been to and the service levels vary, but this is far too busy of a store to be staffed how it is. One could almost forgive that if there was something more useful to do than to look at endless Verizon advertising. What I can't forget is the blast of body odor that almost knocked me over as I came through the door. This one I am blaming on management (you have lots of money - spend some on waiting room items and ventilation...seriously). I don't know if it is the customer base or the staff or both, but I've smelled fresher locker rooms, absolutely vile, revolting and disgusting to the point where I had to leave. It literally is that pervasive inside the store. I feel sorry for those who just sit in the swill. Take my word for it. There are a zillion outlets and it's well worth the drive to find one that doesn't have that problem. read more

Not good. Been in three times in two weeks. . Waited 15 to 40 minutes on average . My I5s is not not good 2 on the 1-10 scale .I Purchase my inferior I5s back in May, Multiple issues, they sent me a new (Refurbished) one, Still multiple issues after hours of updating. . Decided to update to an I6, I asked for deal to compensate me, No way. They gave me trade in money for my new/old 5s, Then fleeced me for more money to get into the I6, then lured me into extending my contract while hard selling me on changing my family plan. Every time I asked the the sales guy A question he would stare at me like the possum in The Fabulous Mr. Fox. He kept reverting back to some rehearsed script about this and that. He seemed more concerned about getting a good survey than actually helping me. These people are robots. . After my TSA experience, I mean sales experience. I was moved over to the tech guy to switch my stuff over. The "Dude" laughed out load in a belittling way when I did not know my Icloud Password. Every time I would ask him a question relative to Apple/IOS he would tell me to contact Apple or go to the apple store. These people sell Apple products without a means to support them. . Apple /IOS ? What happened to this company ? They went from good to bad. I tunes keeps going down, updates then more updates, software version conflicts, ETC.. The folks at the the store seem to want to distance themselves from this. . What happened to Verizon ? Good to worse. Customer and tech support used to be down right stellar. While visiting Verizon to get a new phone for my daughter and mother in law, the connection failed. So we were in the store for a very looonngg time! Our salesperson was Zak. He was great. We joked and laughed through the wait. He was attentive to all of our needs. Never disappeared. I have had numerous terrible experiences at this store. The first time, my husband and I lost our baby in the morning and as we were leaving the hospital, in our despair, I set my phone on top of the car. The phone flew off on the highway and was destroyed. We went to Verizon with the intention of buying the cheapest phone possible so that we could stay in contact with family and friends during the VERY difficult time. The salesperson that we got (too upset to remember his name) was 100% ignorant to social cues. We clearly had both been crying, we were exhausted and after telling him exactly what I wanted and needed, he proceeded to try to upsell me to every thing he could think of, and in his inappropriate douchey way, he kept prying me for personal information as if I wanted to be his friend. My husband was sitting in the corner, not participating but patiently waiting, and the salesperson went over, got in his face and asked what he did for work and liked to do for fun. He only stopped after my husband glared at him and refused to say a word. I understand customer service. I know that friendliness is an asset. But so is reading your customer. This person failed in the most extreme way possible. I decided I would never come back unless it was absolutely necessary. Well, two years later and my next phone decides to completely quit on me. Since we have a family plan and everyone is in the midst of an agreement, I cannot change companies. So I go to the store and choose a phone. The salesperson was not overly pushy, he was helpful and understood my simple needs. I was nearly done with my transaction when he went and spoke with his manager and came back stating "my manager really wants me to talk you into the screen protector case package. I can eliminate the connection fee if you buy those two things. It will save you $80." I reiterated that I did not want any extras today and that I would like to take my new phone and leave. I got home and looked at my bill online. Without even asking or offering, they added a $12/month protection fee that I had NOT opted for. So I spent 30 minutes on the phone with Verizon getting it taken off. Pretty sure what they did was illegal. They couldn't sell me anything legitimately so they just decided to force me to purchase it without my knowledge thinking that it would just appear as another random fee on my bill. Have no doubt. I have been a loyal Verizon customer for over 13 yrs, and I've never had an issue with their customer service until visiting this location. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at any Verizon corp store. The lady who helped me was nice, but not knowledgeable and was nowhere to be found when I was having issues with the data transfer associated with my trade-in. On top of that she failed to go over my new bill, didn't ask me if I wanted insurance on my phone (just added it on without my consent), didn't ask me if I wanted a physical copy of my receipt and didn't even email me one. I had to go into my account to see the logistics of the sale and make sense of the charges. The manager was more concerned with showing me the 'artwork' on his phone rather than answering questions about my plan. I've always been a diehard proponent for Verizon, but this is tempting me to switch carriers. read more
