I got married last year in August (2015), and today is October 2016. It took me so long to write…read morethis review because today I finally received my WORKING wedding dvds. There was so much that's wrong with their business I honestly don't even know where to start.
When I had my first meeting with them before my wedding, I chose an album design, texture, and color I wanted my wedding album to be. I even paid extra money (almost 2k extra) to have them arrive an hour early to the wedding hall and for a wedding highlight to be added to my package, which meant more people of their business would have to work. The day of my wedding, they arrived an hour early as was agreed on. It was one photographer and one videographer and I was getting my hair and makeup done. They literally just stood in the bridal suite with me and were staring at each other, completely oblivious as to what they should do. I directed them to start taking pictures and filming my dress, shoes, getting ready, the groom and groomsmen who were ready and waiting, etc. After the wedding was over and they sent me the pictures, I realized the pictures weren't what I expected. There were crooked pictures, the pictures and people weren't centered, and more of this sort of amateur work. I was disappointed but at the end of the day, my wedding was great and there is nothing that can be done since the day was over. I sent over the pictures I wanted to use for the album and a few months later, the album was ready. When I went to pick up the album (mind you their office is located in Hicksville, LI, and I live in brooklyn), and the album color and texture was not what was originally discussed and promised what it would be. When Omer, the owner and the person I had the meeting with regarding the album choices, tried to look up his records of where he wrote down what we discussed, he could not find it. Not only that, but the actual pictures in the album were very dark and it looked like such a gloomy album when it was my wedding album! He apologized and said it was the fault of camrafair and he would send it out to the editor and get it fixed.
This took another few months. During this time, he sent me the unedited version of my wedding video and asked me what edits I would like to have made on the video. When I sent back the edits I wanted, Apoorva, (his assistant I assume), replied that all the edits would be made. This took ANOTHER FEW MONTHS (ridiculous at this point), and when the album and video was FINALLY ready and fixed, I went again all the way to their studio to pick them up. There is nothing I could do about the crooked and misaligned pictures so I let that go. Now, the video is another story. They gave me the unedited version they originally sent me! When I reached out to Omer to let him know, his response was "I have to see if we even have your video saved on our files or else I can't do much." Um....excuse me? Aren't you running a wedding videography/photography business? Why would you delete files so quick? That makes no sense and why don't you invest in technology with enough memory to keep files since this is how your business thrives!? Anyway, he let me know they had the file saved and he would do the edits. When I asked why it took so long and why no edits were made so what did they have me waiting on all those months, he said he had no idea.
Fast forward, yup you guessed it, another few months, (at this point its over one year), the edited DVDs are finally ready. So here I go again, a third trip out to Hicksville, and guess what? The DVDs DON'T WORK!!! They are skipping, freezing, and then just altogether stop working! I , once again, reach out to Omer, who said he will fix it. It was weeks and I had not heard back so finally I had to threaten to sue if they did not refund me for the video because it was ridiculous at this point and I was sick of running after them. I told them I would return the DVDs and to just refund me. Finally, after having to resort to this, Omer told me the DVDs would be ready and I told them to just mail it to me this time because I couldn't keep going over there to pick them up. He sent them via mail, and once again again, THE VIDEOS DIDN'T WORK!! . How do you not check the dvds to see if they work when you know it was a prior issue!? When I told him this, he responded with "Mistakes happen" I was done at this point. How can you run a business, keep messing up on your part, and say "mistakes happen" ? So unprofessional and sad. Finally, after I had to text him to check up on when the DVDs would be ready (he never had the professionalism of keeping me updated), I told him I will come pick it up and will play each DVD in his studio (wasting my own time and something no client should have to do), which is what I did, and FINALLY, over a year of mistakes and screw ups, I have working DVDs. They don't care about you after they get paid, save yourself the headaches and go with a professional service!
