I've had this pizza several times in the past couple years and I have to say I've never had quite the pizza like this. I understand that Vern's is a chain but I've only been to this location twice both times for take out. You can order it two ways, 2 pizzas made normally or the same price only one THICK version. Every time I've ordered for pick up I only purchased the thick version. The thick version is basically A LOT of ingredients on the pizza. By a lot I mean it's over an inch thick... not the crust mind you, the toppings. Yes they will stack the pizza to the point where the box weighs more than a child could probably carry. From what I was told they used to serve some of them upside down so all the grease wouldn't absorb into the crust. It's not to say the pizza is greasy because even though there's a wild quantity of meat on some of these pizzas, it's still a good overall tasting piece. Another thing that is different for the larger pizzas is the fact that they don't' slice it in typical pie graph slice shapes. The pizza is instead cut into squares even though the pizza is round. This is because a triangle shaped slice from the middle to the crust would seriously be too much food for a plate and would probably weigh 2 pounds if it was 1/8 size slice. One thing they also have for take out is pizza by the slice which is individually boxed in a triangle shaped box. The slices are made from probably medium pizzas because they are not very large in area but vertical so it almost looks like a "slice of cake" shaped box or something like that. My favorite is the TRex which is pepperoni, salami, ham, ground beef with lots of cheese on top. This location is beside a 7-11 so if you don't want Pepsi from Vern's you can get Coke from 7-11. read more

I reccomend the double double - double pepperoni double cheese, no point in getting veggies on pizza here. Just stop by to get a slice and dont bother buying a whole pie unless you got a party of more than 4. Average person can eat 1.5 slices tops because its so thick. Lastly, the dry ribs are not as crispy as they used to be in 2017. I think they used to double deep fry them in the past or use a thick breading, The dry ribs have changed to a thin breading providing a meatier dry rib with no cronch cronch. read more

Quality definitely dropping. Just had a pizza delivered, asked for extra sauce but in reality I don't think there was any sauce on it! This is the third order they have messed up, yes they apologize and comp you another pizza but.... need another pizza place. read more

Good pizza, but not a good option for late night orders. They seem to close early on a regular basis. The last two times I've tried ordering they were closed despite still being within their business hours. Even calling to check closing times doesn't help. I called and was quoted a 2am closing time. Called back at 1:15am and they were closed. And this is NOT the first time this has happened. read more

Vern's pizza is a fabulous concept store. They pile on the ingredients, make the pizzas super big and heavy and you can feel super full after you eat their food. However, if you have any sense of taste whatsoever, you will quickly realize why you can get a 10 pound 1 inch thick pizza for $40. It is made out of the cheapest and crappiest meat imaginable. Imagine going to a funeral for a homeless person where there was a reception afterwards that was meant to feed 20 people for $5. As a component of this reception, the host decided to provide cold-cut finger sandwiches with several types of salami, pepperoni, and other processed meat on them. Then imagine that someone went to that reception, emptied all those sandwiches of their meat, took the meat to their restaurant and spread that meat all over cloyingly sweet sauce and under-risen dough and topped it with a few dollars of cheap mozzarella cheese. The restaurant baked it to 350 degrees and then wants you to give them $40 for their 'impressive' pizza. This is the essence of a Vern's pizza. It's impressive if you're feeding a bunch of people who don't care about what they eat, but if you have a modicum of respect for your tongue, you will order from a place that uses quality pizza toppings instead of discount processed crap. read more
