If you're in Saskatoon, you really simply must get the pizza from UNA! We only got take out so I can't speak to the dining in experience but the amazing variety of different types of pizza is simply astounding. We got 2 Meat Pizzas and 2 Veggie Pizzas: MEAT - Both totally delicious. Spicy Jerk Chicken obviously very unique offering! The Broadway was a staple yet delicious meat pizza with sausage and bacon.. and maple syrup?! VEGETARIAN - The 4Maggio was the most amazing cheese pizza that had HONEY on top! This has been a game changer and I can't believe more places don't put honey on top? Be warned, it does also have a truffle oil so you will get a bit of that flavour. I like truffle - my partner isn't the biggest fan. Vegetarian was simply loaded with all the good stuff! Artichokes, red onions, feta, red peppers. It was a solid pizza. Also with honey! Drool. You can also get some small little containers of oil to pour over your pizza that levels up your pizza. read more

Came here for the first time to check it out in hopes it was similar to the Calgary Una. We were seated near the front door. Other than the floor shaking the seats/table when people walked by, I would say it was a good experience. I had a itali-Una soda (non-alcoholic), braised pork meatballs, tiki (Hawaiian) pizza, and the tagliatelle pasta. The pasta sauce was pretty bland, and the meatballs were just ok. This place fills up fast in the evenings, and I'd argue that it's a testament to their delicious pizzas! Downside: pretty pricy. I'm in Saskatoon for the weekend visiting friends, and I had heard about the UNA in Calgary, but I didn't know there was one in Saskatoon too. My friend raved about the Broadway pizza (namesake from the restaurant location), which has thick cut bacon, fennel sausage, and maple syrup. It sounds like a bizarre combination, but it was delicious! I believe it was mozzarella cheese and either a white sauce or no sauce. I think having a tomato sauce would've been a detriment, so good choice, UNA. Sticky hands but satisfied stomach. I was less enamored with the house special mealshare pizza, which had pesto, chicken, red onion, zucchini, and feta. The feta provided salty bites sporadically but the rest of the pizza was kind of bland. The overarching drawback of the whole experience was that this place is not cheap. The speciality pizzas are $25 easy, and one person could eat a whole one if they were hungry. I've had similar handmade wood-fired pizzas for $12 in Vancouver. In summary, a great place to go and treat yourself once in a while, but not an everyday option. read more

First time I tried Una was about 6 years ago and I absolutely loved it but since it's kinda pricey, I never did end up going back until recently when my friends wanted takeout. I think I prefer dine-in much more as I was disappointed with mine. They put parchment paper in between the pizza and cardboard box (maybe to keep it from sticking?) and the parchment paper collected all the grease and it was just messy eating. Don't get me wrong; grease is very much expected but the way it came as was just ehh. For $20, I expect better. Definitely will only have Una dining in from here on! read more

What a wonderful spot with a great side alley for outdoor seating and a large indoor space. Very busy and popular as the restaurant was completely packed. The reason soon became obvious, everything was fantastic. Started with baked dates wrapped in bacon; highly recommended. Then a Kale Caesar salad and a Prosciutto Pizza to share. The combination was perfect Great service; warm and friendly. I would have given five stars but the noise level made it difficult to chat. We started outside but were driven in by rain. The menus is somewhat limited but what they serve is the very best. To be clear, I have been here once. As likely as not, if I enjoyed my second meal here I would give them a five. I'm always skeptical that a restaurant can duplicate the same level of service repeatedly. When they can I'm impressed. We had some marinated olives and a pizza. It was all excellent. I want to go back and try their food again. We also had a tabbouleh salad which was one of the best we have ever had. The pizza had a very thin crust but was cooked perfect. I would go back in a minute. Our wait person was charming and on the ball. The entire staff was charming and competent. The price was maybe a little steep but only a little. This restaurant is my new favorite! The highlight of the menu is the walnut stuffed date. They offer a daily spealty pizza which is a Mealshare, so you can enjoy a fabulous pizza and feel good about giving back to society. For dessert I recommend the creme caramel or cheese cake. The drinks are thoughtful and complex, and like the pizzas, you can't go wrong with the special. Excellent pizzas! Had the GF crust Tiki, sprinkled with their home made chilli oil... So delicious! One of the best GF crusts I've ever tried. Crispy and light throughout. The waitress was super friendly but seemed she was lacking knowledge on their wine. But we managed to find one which ended up being a great bottle for all to enjoy. The decor is simple modern, with an open kitchen. Really enjoyed the vibe here! Prices are slightly high, specially when there was a surprise charge for the GF crust... This was a fun place to have dinner! I think it's new(ish) to Broadway St. So we were eager to try it. We also NEEDED pizza badly that evening. So glad we came! The interior really makes this place! It looks so trendy and well decorated. The tables are all set and the lightings give a nice ambiance. They have Harry Potter audio book playing in the bathroom, which is kinda funny. We got Q water, and I'm sure if you've read my YELP reviews before you know I love sparking water. My boyfriend tried the fish taco and said it was pretty good! We ordered the Broadway Pizza to share. It has a bunch of meat and then maple syrup on it. Our server recommended getting an egg cracked over the middle of the pizza for dipping the crust into. We decided to try it. It wasn't horrible thats for sure! Our server was really nice and chatted with us. We came on a Monday night so it wasn't too busy which is better for me because I like a relaxing atmosphere. Excellent choice! Passing through town and stopped in for a pizza but got SO much more! Started with a simple salad to share, plenty, simply dressed and so good! Then a meatball app that was spectacular served with a luscious marina sauce and a dense loaf of bread to sop it up. Three meatballs, perfect size! Onto pizza, i wanted to pick my own toppings so I had to start with a pepperoni pizza and added mushrooms and arugula. We like it well done and they were more than happy to accommodate our request. Pizza was perfect, ordered some cheese, something like parm, but better to sprinkle on top. Wine list was pretty nice as well. Took a dark chocolate tart home with me and enjoyed every bite! This is a perfect addition to the Broadway scene! Was excited to hear of Una coming to Saskatoon after having great experiences at the location in Calgary. Started with some of the prosciutto-wrapped walnut-stuffed dates - they are deeeeelicious little bites of heaven. Shared a pizza with prosciutto & arugula, and the kale Caesar salad. Both fantastic. Simple high quality ingredients done right. Not a kale fan, but this is one of my favorite salads. House made Saskatoon berry iced tea was refreshing on a gorgeous sunny Saskatoon day, as was the open-air dining when the front of the restaurant was opened to provide a great people-watching view and breeze. Service was good, attentive, and friendly. Ended with the chocolate & sea salt tart. Will be back for sure. read more

Pizza when well made is a joy. When a restaurant has the word Pizza in its name, there should be high expectations indeed. Unfortunately this place falls short of the mark. Yes, the atmosphere is nice and trendy. Even the recitations of Harry Potter over the sound system in the washroom are quaint. The service was exemplary. But the food, nope. Not even average. The crust of the pizza had the taste and consistency of soda crackers, and well it should given that it's baked in an ordinary oven upon a sheet of silicon paper. Some of the worst service I've ever had. Waited 15 minutes before finally flagging down our waitress. Had the pulled pork pizza and the 4 cheese. Pulled pork was poor to mediocre. 4 cheese was excellent. When we wanted our bill because it was about to start raining, we waited another 20 minutes and had to ask for it twice. By the time she processed our check it had started to rain and she had the nerve to say "good luck with the weather outside". It took a lot for me not to tell her that we wouldn't have had to worry about the weather if the service wasn't so poor. Not sure I would go back. read more

We ordered 2 pizzas for a group of 3, the margherita and the mushroom. the margherita was incredibly bland, and the mushroom was loaded with so much arugula that the peppery taste was overpowering. they had the front open and set up as a patio but there were many bugs and flies in the restaurant, it was kind of gross. vastly overpriced and we didn't enjoy our food. the customer sitting next to us asked us if we would recommend our order for her to get if she returns since she hadn't enjoyed hers and we told her no, that we also didn't like ours. would not return here. read more

For medical reasons I cannot eat dairy products without taking pills so generally avoid pizza places. On this occasion a whole group of us wanted to try out the new restaurant on Broadway and after looking at the menu on line saw that did offer a good variety of offerings other than pizza. We started the evening off with some drinks, my double shot margarita was watered down and flavourless, but the wine and specialized beer drinkers were happy. The service was slow and I had to twice signal our server to our table to take our order. I ordered the 6 oz steak and it was quite tasty, nice MR with just a light seasoning. Was not happy that the only side option offered was a Caesar salad, so ordered that . Sorry really no potato option in any form with a steak wow. The salad was not a traditional Caesar but a kale Caesar. Kale is great in juice, as a flavour enhancer but as a primary greens in a salad left if bitter and unpleasant. Feeling hungry my only option was pills and sharing some of my wife's pizza. The pizza is a thin crust and very good . After the meal we ordered some shots and they were served in neat(6oz) glasses. We were informed by another patron, a regular as she said, that doing shots is passé . They only reason I gave 3 stars is because of the pizza. If you are going for pizza it is a good deal, anything else go down the street to one of the many other broadway venues where shots and potato's are not shunned. read more
