I have been training at Vero Pilates since last summer. I was recently diagnosed with degenerative scoliosis and the chiropractor thought it would help. Boy was she right, it has been a miracle for me. My back pain is mostly gone as long as I attend the sessions. I can't say enough about my instructor, Ixchel. She is so knowledgeable and I really credit her with my newfound strength. She keeps me challenged and interested, not an easy thing to do since by and large I have always hated exercise. Vero Pilates is not only the best place to go for group and privately led Pilates, it excels for healing on all levels due to the experienced, wise and caring support in the proper ways to strengthen and exercise one's body. In particular, at first Veronica and now Ixchel have assisted me in progressing from being able to take only one step at the onset of my chronic injury to now being able to walk a mile or more on "good" days. I started my Vero Pilates journey in April 2013. I originally started because I injured myself while running. Due to a Achilles Tendon injury, I walked into Vero Pilates with a limp and in pain. I started my Pilates journey with Colette. She is outstanding. At first, I was able to walk out of my sessions pain free. Thanks to Colette, I have been pain free for years now. Colette has improved my sitting and standing posture; and help me increased my strength and flexibility. Currently, I take a group class from Chelsie on Monday mornings and end my week on Fridays with a private session with Colette. This routine works great for me. Both trainers are excellent. Pilates was new to me in 2013 and now I am a lifer. Vero Pilates is a wonderful neighborhood place to work out. If I could give them six stars I would. read more

I joined Vero Pilates in August of 2019 after searching for a studio Yelp. Pilates was recommended to me by a physical therapist, after having pelvic floor therapy and continuous lower back/SI joint issues it was time to manage the pain by increasing my strength. I knew I wanted to start a strength training program but have always been intimidated by gyms and large group classes. I reached out via Yelp and Veronica responded and set up a time for me to come in and do an introductory session with Steven. I knew it was a perfect setup for me, the studio is peaceful yet fun and my initial experience was exactly what I was looking for. Steven worked with me to identify my personal physical challenges and responded accordingly. Vero has navigated the pandemic exceedingly well, I know its been hard and they've worked to accommodate everyone and stay safe at the same time. The team is 100% committed to client safety and has set up a great little outdoor spot behind the studio for outdoor sessions. I now work with Andrea 1x per week and will pick classes back up soon. Andrea has been a pleasure to work with, I started with her due to a change in my schedule and my strength continues to improve. I am happy to report that after 1.5 years with Vero my SI joint issues are down to a minimum. I am now that person who preaches to anyone who will listen, if you've ever thought about Pilates, give Vero a try. Just passed my 3 year anniversary with Vero Pilates and couldn't be happier. The staff here really is the best. I have to do a special shout out to Ixchel, my amazing instructor. She has strong Pilates knowledge and, combined with her physical therapy background, she is the perfect person for me to work with. Old injuries sometimes haunt me and she works with me to build the core-she knows when to push and when I need more PT-type work. And her energy is contagious. read more

Several months ago after a gym training series ended I checked into Vero because their studio appeared low key and attractive and I had taken some Pilates mat classes before. My experience one on one and in classes (primarily with the fastidious and fun Allison E.) at Vero have been invaluable. I am becoming re-grounded in all of my body whether standing, sitting, walking or lying down - and seeing important improvements in muscle isolation, posture and stance. Vero Pilates is an amazing studio. When I started a year ago I was just coming off two years of illness and a serious surgery. I really felt that I would never feel strong again. If you've never tried Pilates, I can't say enough good things about Vero's Pilates! It's been almost a year that I've been going to the studio. I've lost several inches and pounds because I changed my eating habits. But what is different about this weight loss is that I'm not thin flabby. Certified instructors that tailor the session to each person's unique abilities (even in group classes) brings up the professionalism. My husband and I started taking private sessions at Vero Pilates 2 years ago after reading a Sports Illustrated article about the pitcher Jake Arrieta of the Cubs and how Pilates had really helped him make a comeback. I can truthfully say, the instruction at Vero Pilates has really helped us both. My husband had suffered a dislocated rib injury over 15 years prior and was unable to sleep through the night. He tried chiropractic among other treatments; nothing had helped. But through Pilates, he is now pretty much pain free and and has regained his precious sleep. I have found the Pilates sessions have really helped my lower back pain.
