You'll definitely work out muscles that you didn't even know you had and some of the classes are so brutal. But it's totally worth it. All the coaches so far have been wonderful. The class setting is smaller so it feels more intimate. Nobody makes you feel awkward too if you have no idea what you're doing. Sometimes it can go a bit fast but the coaches do demo the exercises. I like this place a lot for reformer Pilates :)

I'm familiar with reformer and mat Pilates, and currently work out 5 days a week, so was interested in trying this out. Humbled af. It is very intense and the megaformer takes a lot of care to not get hurt. Overall a great workout! The studio is pretty big and roomy. Loved the aesthetic and mirrors everywhere. Very clean. Parking was annoying because you are at LBX. I'd recommend arriving at least 15 mins early. Overall, a cool workout but not for me and would not recommend for beginners.

I had my consultation/1 on 1 with Sabine and she was kind enough to tell me the history of Pilates, naming and showing me positions, and everything I needed to know going forward. She did a great job showing me the ropes and setting me up for future classes. From there, Crystal very patiently worked with my schedule to find classes that I would fit in with as a beginner. Beyond that, she helped ease my nerves about being a newcomer and helped me feel really welcomed. Most of my classes have been with Aubre who has been nothing short of amazing. She tailors each class after what we need and she never misses! Aubre makes me feel welcomed and I've learned a lot about my body from attending her sessions. She's very good at ensuring we have the correct posture, preventing injuries in the long run. I appreciate her knowledge and how she shows it in her instruction. Eveline and Janet are also great. Eveline's classes are very informative and she does a great job creating a comfortable environment for everyone. Janet is very sweet and took the time to make sure I was doing okay during class. Her care was genuine and I'll never forget her kindness! Most of the people I've talked to only intended to try Pilates for a month or two but Vero's wonderful staff, space, and overall environment makes everyone stay much longer. Plan to arrive early in case you have to park across the street. My main issues are with the strict membership policy and the crowdedness inside the studio. Most instructors are talented not only in their practice but in teaching their students. I learn and follow best by seeing a demonstration not just listening to a lecture. I had an instructor that just used the mic to give directions without showing us. One class resembled a karaoke session which was fun the first couple songs but it was dark and I couldn't see beyond the bodies next to me (they're closer than you think btw). I wasn't sure if I was using the correct form, where the instructor was, or what we were supposed to be doing. Fine for the advanced yogis but leaving us beginners lost. Overall I enjoy attending most classes here. A big issue is it's so crowded. During class you're almost on top of each other so much so that they have to stagger who bends where. The walkways get so congested and I didn't even take a chance with the locker rooms bc the people in there looked like sardines. I see so many studios other than Ra popping up left and right that it would probably benefit them to open up more locations.

I'm happy to say the studio's change in management has been obvious and has made a significant, positive impact. The fact that she personally reached out to discuss my feedback really says a lot. I love the platform and what these ladies have created- Lynda, Jenny, & Chelsea have really put so much thought and love into this place. The classes are both FUN and challenging. I leave each class drenched in sweat, feeling strong, and accomplished. The space is beautiful, clean, and feels luxurious with the sleek bathrooms and smell-good soap. They also have a chilly cold water bottle refill station, towels available to grab before class, cubbies to place your belongings in, AND it just smells like a spa in there :) The lobby is special, because there is always a friendly welcome, there is a chic sitting area beneath a cluster of polaroid pictures of guess who? US! The clients! The pilates gals, the newbies, the gym goers, the community, the people who have come in and more than likely fallen in love with this place. I was very touched by this detail as it feels like the Platform Family is saying "We love you! We care about you! We want to make you our wall art!" LOL There is also this gorgeous skylight that makes the space feel bright and magical! Oh and they sell sticky socks, and neat t-shirts, hats and other comfys! It's a PARTY! I've been coming here for YEARS but I'm just getting around to writing this review…read more I have been attending these classes now over 4 years and I love the community and how everyone is welcomed. Classes are held 7 days a week Mon.- Sun. 11am-12pm and a few months out of the year they also offer classes Mon.-Fri. 6pm-7pm (check the socials for that). Yoga is located on the bluff. It's outdoors off Ocean Blvd, parking can be a hassle sometimes since it's such a busy area but if you don't mind walking a bit there is plenty of residential parking all around. Yoga is located on the bluff over looking the water, it's beautiful on sunny days and nights are perfect for sunset views. It's a donation based service, so feel free to donate whatever your heart or wallet desires. Donations in cash are always welcomed... that's how they support the business but the instructors always mention they are also open to other donations like things people have to pay for that you might have at home like fresh fruits and vegetables that are home grown... I love that concept. Yoga instructors vary depending on the day of the week but I will say that they are all Amazing in different ways. Each yoga instructor has a different style and that's what makes it beautiful, come see what fits your needs. I also wanted to mention that they have a location off Redondo called Yogalution Movement & Wellness. If you're ever in the area I would recommend you stop by and get your Zen on. I attended Yogalution for several years and completed their yoga teacher training, but I do not…read morerecommend this studio. My main concern is how teachers are treated. Even though the studio is donation-based, teachers are required to give a large portion of any donations they receive back to the owner. This includes offerings like free Yoga on the Bluff, which are presented as opportunities for teachers to earn income but are not truly free for them. I consider this exploitative of skilled teachers and inconsistent with yogic principles like aparigraha (non-greed). The yoga teacher training itself is heavily Bhakti-focused and can feel cult-like. The program moves quickly through queuing and poses--the very skills most students hope to learn--while placing heavy emphasis on adopting the owner's personal devotional approach rather than focusing on the core teaching skills most students seek. This attention is then used to pressure students into signing contracts to teach at the studio, meaning you pay to train and then pay again to teach. For me, it felt like a financial model built on taking advantage of students rather than supporting their growth. Because of this structure and approach, I can no longer in good conscience support this studio, despite the skill of the teachers themselves.
