I have gotten some cute T-shirts and tank tops here. My favorite is a white tank top with " I just want to hang out with my dog " in big black letters. It's adorable and gets a lot of compliments! Most of the store is too pricey for me. I got the tank top on the sale rack and that's where I usually like to browse. Be warned about return policies here: All sales racks stuff is final sale. No returns or exchanges. All shoes are final sales. No returns or exchanges, not even after one hour. Other items in the store are on a case by case basis regarding returns. Certain items the owners will refuse to sell you if you do not try on. Very odd comment from the owner, but that is what she just told me. All in all, this store has many pretty things, some very high prices, some very cool and cute stuff on the sales rack that is affordable, and some very strict return policies!!! read more

Right at the beginning of Covid when everything was shut down, Jeni put a sign on her store saying to follow her on Instagram. I walk my dog my the store almost every day and there was this tunic top in the window that I was just obsessed with but since everything was closed I couldn't buy it. When I saw that sign, I DM'd Jeni on instagram and asked her if I could pick it up and buy it and she said she would do a contactless drop off since I lived close by!!! Wow! Called to see if I could return a shoe that I had purchased a week prior that was cutting my toe as I tried them on at home. They were not worn except to walk across my bedroom floor as I tried them with a dress I had also purchased. I called before I made the trip over to see if I could exchange them for a more expensive pair I had seen and the salesgirl told me to come on over they would exchange them. After I made the drive ( in L A afternoon traffic) I came in and put them on the counter in the gauze bags they came in, as the previous woman did not give me a box. She then told me she would not accept them for exchange. I made the trip over for nothing and it took an hour out of my day due to traffic. Never shopping there again read more

This is what a shop should be, and why online shopping will never replace the storefront experience. The level of customer service I received here was truly remarkable -- far beyond what I was expecting and would have been happy with. Jennifer went above and beyond for me. It is clear she loves what she does, and values the customers who enable her to do it. I live in Wisconsin but have family in CA. I visited LA in July of 2016, found this shop while strolling around after brunch, and purchased a pair of extremely unique, artisan earrings that I immediately fell in love with and started wearing every day. After a week in LA, I headed up to San Francisco to visit friends. After a jam-packed day walking and taking Ubers all around the city, I got home only to realize one of my beloved earrings had fallen out. I loved these earrings so much that I saved the one I had left, and decided I would call the shop to see if I could order another one. Days turned into weeks, which turned into months, and I never got around to looking up the shop (I couldn't remember the name, so I was going to have to dig through credit card statements and try to find the charge). Although I had sort of given up on the earrings by that point, I figured it couldn't hurt to bring the singleton back in December when I next visited. I talked my mom into going back to that part of town (not a hard sell!), and peered in the windows until I identified what I thought was the right place. Sure enough, in the back was a small display of earrings in the same style (a very unique weaving/beading technique) that was clearly by the same artist, but my exact earrings were not there. I approached the woman at the counter to ask if she had any more of those earrings, or if she could get more. I told her my story, and how I had been pining after them for months, and that I loved them enough that I would be happy to be able to buy them again. She told me that the artist who makes them had sort of been scaling back, and that she wasn't sure if or when she was going to be able to get more, but that she would try. I gave her my phone number, thanked her for making the effort, and headed out. Sure enough, within hours, Jennifer called me back, told me she had spoken to the artist, and that she would be able to get a pair for me within a few days. Due to a family vacation, the only day I could pick them up was the day after Christmas. I called in the morning to confirm they were there, and Jeni answered the phone. I told her how excited I was, and that I would be coming in later that afternoon to pick them up. She told me that she wasn't feeling well, the store was dead, and she was hoping to go home early, and asked if I might be able to come any earlier. Unfortunately, my parent's house is not close to her store, and my mom was out with the car running errands, so I was trapped until she returned. I told her that my family was leaving early the next morning to go spend a few days in Los Olivos, but that I would stop in when we got back to LA. Not only did Jennifer insist on staying at the store until I could get to her (she told me she knew I would want them for my trip!), but once I got there, SHE WOULDN'T LET ME PAY FOR THEM!!!!! Yes, that's right. Losing the earring was completely my fault, and I never once expected not to pay for the second pair, which she had gone out of her way to get for me. And she absolutely INSISTED on giving them to me. I was honestly dumbfounded. This is a situation where I already would have been extremely happy and impressed simply because she followed through and got me another pair. The generosity of spirit she showed is truly something you don't see every day. Thank you again Jennifer. I still wear them all the time, and never without those little clear plastic backs!!! I got some earrings from Verona a few years ago and I wore them pretty much every single day. They were my favorite and one day I accidentally forgot that I took them off, put them in my jeans, and washed the jeans! I was so upset with myself, but luckily I remembered where I bought them. I went to Verona to buy a new pair and sadly- I didn't see any. Long story short... Jennifer tracked down the artist and had some more made for me. So I have my favorite earrings again. Yay! I stumbled upon this GEM in Studio City after having brunch and I fell in LOVE with the place. The vibe is awesome just going in the store - I completely understood the mission of the store because the visual merchandising is on point. Everything is laid out neatly and is very shoppable. I am a personal shopper and I appreciate a nicely laid out boutique. I ended up buying three pieces: a tunic, a long cardigan, and a pair of joggers. Since I've come home I wear all three pieces on repeat. The quality is BOMB and the pricing is right. It was a special treat to meet the owner, Jenny. She made me feel right at home and is very knowledgeable about her product and her customer. You will be missing out if you don't at least stop in here. Ever since the retail stores closed on 4th/ Santa Monica and La Brea, I have been looking for Vin baker products for years. I was so thrilled to see VB bags in Verona. Jennifer is so knowledgeable and has a great selection of accessories. Something different and very unique. You don't see the products in any other stores. Their prices are moderate to somewhat pricey, but you can find inexpensive items, as well. This is another great local vendor on Tujunga in Valley Village. It started with the customer service, which I often can say is lacking in many places, but not this one! IF you are looking for great, or even MEDIOCRE customer service, DO NOT SHOP HERE! Whatever happened to the concept of serving the customer and their needs? VERONA by Jeni B needs a refresher! Recently, my dearest friend came into town on business. We are both busy professional women with little free time, but on this visit we were determined to set aside some time to play! I suggested we visit Tujunga Village (Moorpark St & Tujunga Ave), a quaint little area in Studio City that has become our neighborhood's version of Larchmont Village. Perhaps we'd have lunch at Caioti Pizza Cafe, Vitello's or possibly Aroma (I've lived in the area since Mark opened Aroma as a one-room coffee shop). We would then support the local merchants by shopping in the charming little boutiques that line the block, starting with one of my favorites, "VERONA by Jeni B." I am a long time customer and over the years, have spent thousands on their handbags and shoes. (I know, shame on me!) . On this occasion, we were greeted by a lovely young woman, and after perusing the store, exchanging pleasantries and sharing some laughs with the sales people, we both found casual tops we liked, made our purchases and were on our way. A couple of days later my friend wore her top, and within hours the sleeve snagged several times. She told me she was unhappy with the quality of the item and I assured her VERONA would make good on her purchase and she should simply return it as soon as possible. She did, or should I say, she TRIED! This time the pleasantries and smiles were in short order, and the woman who was so friendly and engaging on the day of our purchase was now whistling a different tune. Not only was she unpleasant, but she was unwilling to return my friend's money, unwilling to exchange the merchandise, and unwilling to offer store credit. However, she was willing to add insult to injury by noting (I'm paraphrasing) "...well no one else who purchased this item had any problems." The inference being it was Dr. Smith's carelessness that caused the snags (not the inferior quality of the merchandise). By the way, as she (the saleswoman) was examining the sleeve in question, her nail snagged a thread, but that seemed to be inconsequential. My friend explained that her friend (me) who recommended the store was a long time patron of VERONA. Apparently, that was of little interest to her either. Needless, to say, I was disappointed that my friend was treated so poorly and asked her to leave the top with me and I would speak to the store manager. Surely, after all these years, a little customer service was warranted. Certainly, they don't expect someone to pay $56.00 ($61.04 w/tax) for an item they could only wear for two (2) hours! Today, I returned to VERONA with said item in hand, certain this was a misunderstanding and once the circumstances were clarified, the situation would be rectified, and we'd all be on our merry way. I told the very pleasant young woman who made the original sale, my story. She was pleasant, listened politely and in short order turned over my concern to the same woman who spoke to my friend a few day prior. Sigh! Though I went into the store seeking a mutually beneficial solution, it was soon clear there would be no agreement or compromise. I asked if the store customer service policy was "TOUGH LUCK!" and in essence was told YES! I was told since the item was worn (2 hours) and the store couldn't return the item to the manufacturer; she would not return my friend's money, nor exchange the item for another, nor grant store credit. So again, I say, If you are looking for great, or even MEDIOCRE, customer service, DO NOT SHOP HERE! I now understand that VERONA has an "NO REFUND, FINAL SALE" Policy (though frankly I never noticed the signage before). What I DO NOT understand is why they have an "NO FORESIGHT" Policy as well. I suspect the item cost the store a fraction of what my friend paid after markup. So, the way I see it, to make $40 or so dollars, VERONA chose to lose a long time loyal customer as well as a new client and thousands of dollars in future sales. The Proverbial "PENNY WISE AND POUND FOOLISH" approach to shopkeeping. People never fail to amaze me! I'll be sure to share my experience with others. Happy Thanksgiving 2016! Some good bags still but the prices are steep and the styles are nowhere near the fun bags I saw a few season's ago. There used to be a number of great jewelry designers but now it all looks the same: boring, pricey, generic stuff you see everywhere for much less. Hmmmmmm. I had the absolute best experience at this store! My friend and I decided to pop in after brunch at Aroma because I saw some jewelry from outside that I liked. When we walked in we were immediately greeted with kindness, and as my friend and I browsed the store, we exchanged laughs and stories with the owner, Jenni. When Jenni could tell that I was indecisive about which necklace to purchase, she came over to me and told me about each of the products to help me make my decision. I told her what I was looking for in the necklace, and she was very honest with me about which one would fit my needs better. I've already worn the necklace a couple of times since I bought it, and I totally love it. I've gotten several compliments on it too! Love this place! The best shoes, handbags, jewelery...Stuff you can't find anywhere else. A lot of their stuff comes from local area artists and have great stories if you take the time to inquire. the inventory is always changing but because of it's originality you'll never be "out of style" or behind the season/trends. Yes, it more expensive than your chain stores but for the quality you absolutely get what you pay for... And for Anita who made the comment about China vs Italy...you might want to check your favorite labels again. If you really follow fashion you'll know that most designers are moving their factories to China (tragic I concur) the quality is still the same (they import all of their materials) it's just more affordable to produce in China in this icky economy. read more
