Best pastry/danish I have had since visiting Leavenworth, WA as a child. When you walk in you can immediately smell the freshness and start drooling. Oh my! It's a good thing I only visit here quarterly. Otherwise, I'd be a regular here and probably gain 100 lbs. I had croissants, including pain a chocolate, and apple puff, and a cinnamon roll looking pastry with raisins and creme. I could go on about the flakiness of the pastries. Even the croissants, where my expectation have diminished ever since Starbucks started carrying what passes for croissants, were flaky and golden. Just goodness. all the way around. The apple crisp was amazing. The filling wasn't mushy or overly sweet but complemented the flaky pastry oh so beautifully. Surprisingly, the cinnamon roll looking pastry with raisins and creme was hands down my favorite. Hints of rum permeated every flake of the dough, the cream was silky and not too sweet, the raisins were little gems of fruit in the dough. MMMmmmm. I am trying to think of other errands I need to do in that area so I can go get some more pastries. read more

The smell in her little shop is drool-worthy! It doesn't smell like the typical smelling bakery that pulls there stock from the freezer, tosses them in the oven to cook and calls it a pastry. Nope! She makes her dough from SCRATCH! I had a pear marzipan in her flaky buttery dough that was amaze balls. She closes once she is sold out for the day, but I was there at 11 and there were still plenty of choices.
