I can't remember how we found about him but we hired him for our wedding at the Peabody Essex Museum even though I was living in Maryland at the time. We never met face to face and had all of our meetings by phone. He was super easy to work with and always professional. My husband and I aren't super duper into music, I just knew that I wanted a party that didn't stop. I wanted everyone on the dance floor the whole night. I also knew I wanted more of a "club" feel than a traditional wedding/bat mitzvah. So we told Brett none of the traditional "party" songs or dances like YMCA, twist and shout, etc. And then we just crossed our fingers and hoped that he listened to our requests. And he did! Our party was rockin' everyone danced the WHOLE night and it was seriously one of the best weddings I have ever been too. 7 years later our friends still talk about our wedding and how much fun it was, and I attribute a lot of that to Brett. Not only did he listen and abide by our requests, but when a wedding guest requested the YMCA he pulled my husband aside and asked if it was ok. My husband said no and he did NOT play it! He was really easy to get a hold of, made great suggestions for wedding day timeline, and worked really well with the other vendors at our wedding (all booked independently). This guy is calm, cool and collected. No cheesiness DJ here. He helped to direct the show on day of and all music was timed perfectly from our ceremony (pretty far on from the reception at our venue) and making sure that we stayed on track throughout the night. He stuck to his promise and didn't play any requests on my "no" list: no chicken dance, line dancing or Boys 2 Men. I had several friends approach me just to comment on him that he was so much fun. We spoke the week before the wedding and he was very consultative with feeling out the guests/crowd. He offered to put together some games or more activities to keep everyone entertained if needed. No need though because the dancing never stopped. Music was great! The price was right in our budget too. I would totally recommend him for weddings!
