Classes are overbooked and crammed in and everyone is on top of each other. People coming into…read moreclass 5 minutes past the start time and disrupting everyone, as well as leaving during savasana?! People wearing way too much perfume and clangy jewelry during classes. Yoga is often disrupted by simultaneous fitness classes going on in the studio in the next room over that you can hear through the wall. Sometimes there are only 15 minutes between classes and it's hard to maneuver around the people coming/going and you feel really rushed. Please space out your classes better throughout the day. No waiting area so everyone is just crammed in the lobby. Really odd class times and nothing in the morning except for a 6am option... what kind of a yoga doesn't have a 9am option? Some good teachers, some not so great. It's nice during the summer, but when the students are in town it's kinda unbearable. Lavender towels after a hot class are their best feature. Unfortunately there aren't any decent yoga studios in town so this is your best bet.

For example, I walked in, she approached me, noticed that we hadn't practiced together before, and asked if I had anything that I was working through in my body (marathon yesterday; I did!). To begin, we were invited to find an inversion; she outfitted each of us with props and adjustments. The flow featured a mix of long-held poses, strength-inducing holds and traditional-ish vinyasa. Calm, focused, inspiring. I was surprised at the end of class to feel alert, relaxed, happy to meditate. Finally, I'll cite as evidence to this studio's bestness the stranger beside me who, during frog pose, after I'd moved a cushion under one of my feet, went out of his way to put his blanket by my other foot. Later, in a twist, he moved the blanket out of the way of my knees. Left feeling "worked out" and delighted to be human. Background: live out of state; favorite yoga studios other than this one in Los Angeles. Have not felt this excited about a class since my last with Steve in summer 2015.
