I'm telling all new potential students please please do not come too this school!! They used to be PCCTI and were shut down and opened under a new name. This school was the absolute worst experience ever and I did 2 classes with them. The staff here quit constantly and sometimes they don't have instructors so you may be waiting almost a year to move to your next class. The instructors DO NOT TEACH! Mrs Taylor is the worst one lazy. They do not cover anything and the school doesn't provide real books. They order cheap ATI books for you to study from. They mess up your clock hours saying you missed way more than you did and then you have to fight for them to correct it. I truly wish I saw reviews before I wasted money going there. The 2 owners Natasha and Naveen do not like the students. If you even try to approach them they will say your harassing and try to call police on you. The bottom line is money for them. Of the policy The Work load is heavy if you wake up and Work at it and study it may be doable but the grading policy was confusing to me and very high B in thr 80s didn't feel supported by the teaching staff but that's my opinion . I paid for a separate coarse and misplaced my passing grade A plus. They would not give me my transcript from that even thought it had nothing to do with the LPN course because I withdrew within the handbook time it worked out . I hated everything about working at that place. The students were the only reason I survived for as long as I did. The owners do not care about the students, the staff or anyone else. Their only objective is to get rich. They hire teachers who have no teaching experience. They pay everyone way under the average for similar positions in the industry. They don't even pay all of the bills and make the employees, who half the time weren't around to even know the situation, handle all of their dirty work and mistakes. The owners themselves don't even know anything about how to operate many of the programs that they require the students to use in combination with their textbooks. I personally think it is a setup and designed to fail students. If you fail one course, you have to repay tuition to take it again. There's no option of transferring credits to another school, so you are stuck trying to stick it out or forced to start over from the beginning at another institution. Naveen, the "President/CEO" pf the school degrades women, including his wife/partner, Nitasha. He yells, screams, at employees and discuss things which should be private in front of the entire staff. He does not care about the welfare of the students and that is completely wrong!!! They made us work ridiculous hours, and then wonder why the turnover rate is so high. Absolutely terrible. Not a single person here knew what they were doing. That sounds like a complete exaggeration, but it's really the truth. The highlighted mistakes are as follows: The course took longer then what they said it would. Twice during the term they corrected the schedule to add time to the term. This was due to their scheduling mistakes. The instructor was terrible. She was consistently late and often stepped outside to answer or make personal phone calls. One day she was two and a half hours late! I hold a BS in chemistry with an emphasis on human body systems and an AS in surgical technology. With that said I can state with confidence and authority that the instructor didn't know what she was talking about, often made mistakes, misled and misinformed the class. They lied about what was included with the tuition. They stated that we would receive a book, scrubs, a blood pressure cuff, and a stethoscope. We only received the book and had to buy the rest. They lied about the ability to miss time due to personal commitments. They said if you had to miss a class you could make it up during another concurrently running class. After I signed the contract they changed their story and told me I'd have to wait until they found a spot for me during a future session. One day a new student came to class and told us she had been waiting to make up class time from a previous session the year before! Avoid it. The entire program was a joke. The Entance/HESI's were literally spoon fed to make sure you could get in. They basically GIVE you the answers so you meet admission requirements. It's after you pay and are in the program that they will fail you out to keep their pass rate high. Oh and they will make sure you pay- they pull you out of lecture to collect payment regularly. I felt so bad for the students who got called out every week. They hold remediation which is a joke because they really don't push for understanding, they push for memorization. Luckily my instructors (who left) wanted to teach so for those of us who were actually learning and doing well they offered a lot of opportunities to reinforce material. Those that wanted to copy notes and find test banks... Well they were the ones who were most upset with test grades. They will not allow you to move on if they think you will bring down their pass rate so be prepared for some shady tactics. Much of the material is found online verbatim. So your tests are very easy if you study the online free guides available to the public (which made me scared to have certain classmates ever be caring for me). There are so many questions that contradict the books, power points, and even fundamental skills, so just find out which resource will be the official resource for tests. If you know your stuff and self teach you will be okay but be ready to have to point out and defend your answers- even our instructors would get frustrated. Our textbooks were actually outdated. I bought my own books and did mostly self study/teaching because the lectures were off a PowerPoint that did not always cover the physiological aspect but rather prepare you again to memorize. Our clinicals got out early every week and we did not do a single care plan that could compare to traditional programs. We usually just bullshitted or ate or did busywork. I didn't care too much because I was already working in an ER so was able to get much of my clinical experience in a hospital influenced environment. Most students didn't even have the opportunity to do procedures because there were so few to be done. It was rare that we got any real hands on experience and the labs were a joke. The clinicals were all nursing home for at least 3 years worth of students that I talked to. When we started I called the hospitals they supposedly do clinicals at and they haven't had PCCTI for years so that should have been a red flag to me. Feel free to message me for more details..... I am very open about my experience. The only pro was one instructor who left and not because she was bad- but because she cared about the quality of student nurses being graduated. So I can't say I would ever go there again or recommended it to anyone. Another reviewer warned to not walk but run away from this place and I couldn't agree more. I saw the bad reviews on here, but it was the most convenient place for me to take the CNA class (I work right across the street) right after work. I chose convenience over quality and I am regretting it to the umpteenth degree. I'm currently a student here in the CNA class and not one of my classmates have a good thing to say about the school. We bitch about this place every chance we get. What do we complain about? The biggest complaints are listed below. We're currently in the seventh week of class (out of what was supposed to be 10 weeks, but more on that below) and all students were supposed to have their paperwork (immunization records and prior schooling documents) submitted by week three before clinicals started. Most of my classmates did not get all of their paperwork submitted and that's on them, but the school waited until the sixth week to crack down on this and suspended clinicals. Where were they when we were approaching the deadline three weeks (now four) ago? Before clinicals were suspended for improper paperwork (which I understand, but they should have cracked down on this sooner) we had clinicals suspended twice. Once because the rat hole that they had us doing clinicals in had a surprise inspection from the state because the place was so shoddy and again for an instructor problem. The first one was a serious problem because all of my classmates and myself live on the southside and the place we were doing clinicals was way north past the Loyola campus. We drove all the way up there at 7am, only to stand around for a half hour with no instructor in sight and the director of nursing telling us we need to go home because they have a surprise inspection. This is all after being told that our original clinical site, on the southside where we're all from, was cancelled the night before clinicals started. I'm in the middle of communications with the office right now and I'm being told that the end date for the program has been altered and they don't know when the end date will be nor when we will have our rescheduled clinicals. My problem with this is that if we miss any class time, we have to pay $35 per hour to make up for lost time. However, when they screw up, there's no repercussions. We get an attitude and them pointing their finger at the student agreement saying we need to abide by all changes. This place has potential. They have a decent lab and they have convenient classes, which is why I went to them. They also have small classes (I was one of eight and now I'm one of seven) which provides for individual attention, but they just don't always seem to know how to relate the material. The one instructor I have, she's a real sweet person, will throw questions at you out of context and will get mad if you don't know what she's thinking. Still, she does a good enough job and tries to help as much as possible, so this review isn't directed at her as much as it is for management of this place. They are just a clusterf*#k in terms of organization and they just can't get their act together. Finally, they cost about as much as any community college, but I know people that have gone through community colleges and from what I've told them about this place they think it is a nightmare. As of this writing, the initial cost of the program is $995. You also have to pay $40 for a drug test and you have to set up a profile on line. Keep an eye on this, though, because the company screwed up my results and my paperwork got lost in the system which delayed my file from being complete. Although I wasn't told about this until week six. You also have to pay for an all white scrub set and white leather shoes, if you don't already have these. If you have any tattoos on your arms you need to have a long sleeve white shirt and if you don't any tightie whiteys you need to buy some as your clinical uniform is all white. They don't mention this when you sign up, even though I did specifically ask about additional program costs. My scrubs, white gym shoes (since I don't own white leather shoes), white long sleeve shirt, and tightie whiteys all ran me about $100. You will also have to purchase a gait belt (transfer belt) which you can get for as little as $7 on Amazon. So total program cost is about $1140. Since I'm still in the program with an undetermined amount of time left I may see some retaliation for posting this if they find it before I finish, but it'll totally be worth it if I can keep anyone else from making the same mistake I've made. Go to a community college or any other program because these guys are a circus act, and not in a good way. Heed the warnings on here. I didn't and I'm seriously paying for it now, both figuratively and literally. read more

The nursing program is a ACCELERATED program which requires you to give 110% to complete the program. I would advise anyone who is serious about their future to properly prepare, stack your money, and be ready to live on the minimum to ensure you pass. No nursing school is perfect and go through changes. They make sure you know everything to ensure u pass the NCLEX and make you do a ATI NCLEX Prep after graduation to reinforce knowledge. Took my Microsoft Training there... Well, instructor did not care, class was boring and I hated it... I would never do it again.

This is the worst place to go to for a nursing program. It's expensive and all they want is your money! They make false clams stating they will work with you when your grades start to go down which is a lie. The teachers that work there and are hired there do not know how to actually teach a class room and are completely new right out of college. The nursing home they have for clinical are disgusting and there never is enough equipment for the students to train with in class. You have to email back and forth to get any type of answers from the administration and most of the time they do not reply back unless you threaten to stop payment on tuition. (Oakbrook location) The only thing good about this school, at least for me, was the location and the duration of the LPN program (1year). If I had the opportunity to get to a different school/community college program at the time, I'd have taken it. This is a total rip-off of an institution. It is a for-profit-only company, and it's expensive. They are vicious when it comes to collection of tuition fees, with little to no consideration of your circumstances. The office staff (at that time) was very rude and unprofessional, save for the receptionist whose job was to be nice - and even then, she was pretty useless. Whilst they were quick to matters of money, every other process had to go through every person in the building, and when asked why things were going slowly, you'd have every possible bullcrap excuse you can think of. I honestly learned more in the 6 weeks that I reviewed for the NCLEX than the whole academic term. For an accelerated program, you would think your instructor will do more than just read from the book or her powerpoint. They were basically getting paid to read the book to you, maybe answer a couple of easy questions for you, but if they don't know the answer, you'd get a simple "oh, that's explained in the book". There was one instructor, Imee, who stood out - she clearly knew what she was doing and was very competent, but she was hired only midway through the second semester and so she was just about to help a little. The students in my class would tell you the same, and it's only because we all made such hard sacrifices to study/review on our own that most of us made it to become LPNs. If you are looking for an enjoyable, fulfilling, and truly academic program, please don't even consider going to PCCTI. But if you have the cash and can deal with bull, and if you are all for just a quick completion of a degree, then by all means enroll. P.S. It takes forever to acquire a transcript. I was informed that it should be ready in a week and I'd just have to pay $10.00 for each copy (and they make you pay even if you didn't receive one when you graduated). It's been three weeks exactly today, and they claim it's still being processed by some auditing department. THREE WEEKS! It's not like they're sending it to the employer directly and rely on shipping duration for the process to take that long. The lady from student services told me, "if it's for employment, you can just tell them it's being processed and turn it in later". Imagine that! read more

I'm a part of the lpn program at the Chicago campus of PCCTI. I can say that this has been a challenging road and path to cross, but do feel that a lot falls on myself as an adult student. I know that recently it was announced that the passing rate for students who passed the NCLEX on the first try was 100% for this year so far, I think that it is really great because I plan to finish the program I've worked so hard to join. I do not really read reviews because I feel that it is best to see for myself, and not go on ones negative reviews about a place of business. I know the school is accredited and that they accept financial aid, which helps me a whole lot to be able to afford the program. I wish I knew what website they refer to for test bank answers or whatever because I never heard of that. I think I can say people should just go visit either campus and see for themselves. I just want to be an lpn and start my career :) read more
