We set up an appointment time and I arranged to be home during the afternoon to meet him, but 5 minutes before the appointment time he called and said "Sorry, we don't provide refinishing services anymore". I'm giving them one star for responding to my Yelp project and one star for at least letting me know that they weren't going to come and saving me a lot of headaches later when they probably would have quoted the job but then not completed it. From all the reviews it sounds like if you can get them to your house for a simple fence, they may be good, but unfortunately more times than not they cancel or don't show up.

After I called and left a message that expressed my frustration we finally got a returned call. We were told that there was a problem with the supplies not being delivered on time. I got her as a…read more9 month old puppy, and she immediately made short shrift of my entire, 25-year-old (pretty rotted) perimeter fence. Not a small job, and an emergency one, because she LOVED running around the neighbors' yards. Lucian and his Dad braved the elements on extremely short notice, and built an entire new fence (mostly in the rain) for a great price. They gave me lots of upgrades, like unknotted wood, and thicker footers, and were incredibly fast and efficient. Its beautiful. That should have been enough, but - no - then my about six months later my back neighbors got their own Bernadoodle puppy, and the two dogs decided they didn't want a fence, so my pitty figured out how to pound her head against the boards until they bowed, then get her jaws on the wood, and tear through it. Lucian agreed that metal roof panels attached to the back fence would probably work (either that or an electric cattle fence), so he and his son came back out with the panels, cut them to fit, and spent a day attaching them, which - it turns out - is not as easy as it sounds. Again, quick service and excellent value. This family business, NW Modern, is fantastic, and I highly recommend them. And yes - it appears the metal roof panels are working!
