Veterans Memorial Park is home to a very nice town pool and park for the resident of South Windsor. It's also the home of a very nice memorial dedicated to the town's veterans of four wars.

The memorial is in a pretty setting with parkland and a playground. The memorial grounds includes flagpoles, benches, and five separate monuments dedicated to South Windsor's vets who lost their lives in service during World War I, World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.
Their names are inscribed on their monuments, and there is a town monument dedicated to all veterans inscribed with these powerful words:
In Honor of all South Windsor Veterans
Dedicated to the glory of Almighty God
In memory of South Windsor Men and Women
Who by their unselfish patriotism have
Have advanced the ideals of liberty
