It's hard enough finding an exotic vet who takes rats, but Glen Mills Vet Hospital not only takes them but gives them excellent care. I particularly want to mention Dr. Sarah Stern. She has provided medical care to many of my pet rats and every single time we see her, she goes above and beyond what I expect. The staff are warm, friendly, and compassionate. I do not have a single bad thing to say about this practice. If you have a pet, whether it's a dog, cat, pocket pet, etc., I highly recommend Glen Mills Veterinary Hospital.

They used digital thermography as part of my dog's last wellness visit to check for any areas that be causing pain that she couldn't tell me about. I brought my dog in for a spay, and she came home with an area of bleeding abrasion from clippers and three bleeding toenails -- none of which were mentioned to me. The nurse insisted the cut was just a "razor burn" and "not a big deal." She got defensive because the nail trimming was "a favor." My dog has clear toenails, so it's kinda hard to miss. This care strikes me as substandard. No apology, no explanation -- and when we returned for a follow up to make the situation better, the office felt hostile. We switched vets right after, and it felt the best thing for my dog. Two months later, I received an invoice for a bill I had already paid. When I called for instructions to clear up the error, the attitude was like a brick wall. Impolite and unhelpful. A secretary was dismissive, saying the burden of clearing it up was on me, and to "check the bank statements." Overall, an upsetting experience. I would not recommend this clinic.

It's too big and pricey. I had to take my dog in for an eye issue each week for three weeks and…read moresaw a different vet each time. I would feel more comfortable with one vet for my dog's one issue. Also, they had her on 5 different medications and tried too many procedures when they should have sent me to a specialist after the first week or two. $1k spent when I could have put most of it towards the ophthalmologist. I questioned the amount of medications a couple times as well as the price of a contact. I did not receive great explanations and as for questioning the price of the contact I was given attitude by the owner via email. A phone call would have been nice and much easier. Money does not grow on any of my trees unfortunately, so asking questions and understanding prices and medications is something I have to do. As long as I understand, it is much easier for me to move forward. I wish they would have set their pride aside and sent me to a specialist to begin with. The ophthalmologist is keeping my dog on only two of the medications and is charging me once for the initial visits and the visits to follow for this one issue. After this experience with Longwood vet center (and other experiences with Longwood) I am convinced the bottom line comes before my dog and I.

She has gone (WAY) out of her way to help with our diabetic / CKD cat, answering numerous emails and calls outside of business hours, and got prescriptions and dosages right that showed improvement in our cat where other vets had gotten it wrong. I found Naamans animal hospital and it was amazing the difference in prices. I am not paying for fancy chandeliers in the lobby anymore. The doctor does not try to run the bill up. He is direct and to the point. I have been nothing but pleased with all my experiences at this hospital. I have in fact sent multiple friends there and they are pleased as well. They can't believe the low bills there. Def two paws up.
