However - she gave me a fantastic deal and I loved her car so I couldn't refuse. The driver was on time and the car was beautiful and impeccable. That's what they get one star for. But the driver really creeped me out. He dropped me off at our ceremony site and then went to pick up my (now) husband. After he dropped him off, he parked the car and then played shadow to our photographer - standing behind her and taking all kinds of pictures! He even came up and adjusted my dress and tried to carry my train for me; which I guess is nice but that is what my maid of honor, bridesmaids...anyone who KNOWS ME can do. The worst part was that after the ceremony, when my husband and I went to be alone, he was in the room trying to take photos of us! I had to ask to him to leave and give us some privacy. Overall, he wasn't rude or anything, just EXTREMELY intrusive. If you are desperate for a vintage car, Simply Elegant is OK but beware of weirdo drivers. I wonder if he was the same one John B. had... Also, I agree that the fact that they operate as if it was 1990 sucks.

We sent a post dated (only dated 4 days later, hey we need to get paid before we can send cash!) check for that amount and later received a crazy voicemail from a very irate woman who screamed "I do not accept post dated checks, how dare you send me a post dated check! I will no longer do business with you....." The message went on and on. So thanks, Simply Elegant Limo, for being douche-bags and congratulations on operating a business in 2008 that does not have an email address or a credit card machine.

What should have been a special celebration turned into a stressful and disappointing experience. The lack of communication and accountability is completely unacceptable. I would strongly caution others before booking with this company.

I was excited to use this studio after booking on peerspace for my music video shoot! The plan was…read moreto use fake blood on a white background, and I know some studios are scared of that so I contacted them ahead of time and was assured this would be no issue. Katie from management told us "We've had messier shoots" as you see in the attached photo messages and that worst case we'd pay a $100 repainting fee We finished our video shoot and there was quite a mess of blood that needed mopping. We asked the on staff manager multiple times if there was more we could do to help clean as we did NOT want to leave the place in a mess that the location would be unhappy with. We were reassured multiple times by THEIR staff that we were good to go and they would "take care of it". We also stayed behind with the artist from our shoot, videographer, and director to assist however we could. Before leaving, once again we were reassured the place would be all set. After all...we paid a cleaning fee AND the repainting fee that was mentioned. The next day I get a scathing unprofessional phone call and texts from the owner who clearly had not communicated with Katie or the on staff manager and was upset at the mess left. I was shocked! We had such a great time, in fact I even left an amazing review for them on peerspace! I was forced by peerspace to pay an additional $400 in cleaning fees, which I did... and they had the AUDACITY to write me a bad review as if I was to blame for their staffs poor communication skills. YES we were aware this would be a messy shoot, that's why we asked up front AND prior to leaving if they needed us to clean more. There's a lot of other places to film your projects. I'd avoid here. They blame the client for their own poor communication. They could've told us no up front...they didn't. The on staff manager could've asked us to clean up better prior to leaving after we stayed later and asked if they needed more from us....they didn't. We were reassured multiple times we were all set prior to leaving the set. And then were charged hundreds of dollars on TOP of the cleaning and repainting fee we offered. I'm not sure how this would be our crews fault, but such is life. This business is untrustworthy and run by an unhinged owner. AVOID.

All of our attendees had ample room to work comfortably, and our guest speaker had more than enough space to present and engage. We also brought in models for hands-on shooting, and the studio provided a polished, professional, and welcoming environment. The staff was incredibly helpful, assisting us with everything from sound setup to kitchen access. Their support made the day run smoothly. Overall--wow! You truly can't beat the size, atmosphere, or the amazing team at Skylight Studios. I'd absolutely rent this space again without hesitation and actually can't wait to do so! "Based on the event and the experience level of staff, I have put together staff levels that will be sufficient to properly staff and work your event." Summary of services received: *Caterers arrived at 4:45pm, well past 3:00pm as agreed.So, bar was not stocked and ready to professionally serve guests nor were appetizers ready at contracted time. Unable to reach caterer on phone for 1hr; when did was told staff would arrive any minute.They arrived in 45 minutes,15 minutes before contracted services were to begin. *Buffet line was not well stocked during prime dinner time.I entered line after 50 people with 10 guests behind me.The main salmon/chicken courses were nearly empty and no servers were to be found (not the only time),so we all skimped on portions only to find well after dinner,restocked chafing dishes. Incidentally,when the staff initially arrived, the woman in charge said "the cooks never showed up" at events,which may explain the unkempt buffet line and why the menu was not as contracted. *Only 1 bartender despite contract clearly indicating 2 bartenders for 65 guests. *The flowers to decorate the buffet line did not arrive until after dinner. Menu: *The menu was not as contracted.We ordered 1)grilled salmon with chives but received teriyaki salmon,2)wild rice pilaf but received plain white/yellow rice,3)roasted red potatoes were missing,and 4)crackers were not included with apps despite caterer insistence on including crackers as separately priced line item. *Dessert:Well past dinner,I went looking for staff for dessert.I could not find anyone but learned from bartender that the catering crew left to get dessert back at shop.
