    Heading to Coronado

What a great transportation system to Coronado island from different areas in San Diego. Our hotel was a few blocks from one of the ports to board the fairy and for 8-9 bucks we had a cool scenic view. They are very timely and easy to board. There was plenty of seating each trip.

Bought the tickets off Groupon for a 2 hour sightseeing tour! Everything was great. Come early if you want to be on the top deck as it gets packed with no seating. Make sure to be on time before departure because they will not wait for you! Snacks and drinks available on board.

We took this ferry over to spend the day on Coronado island. There are two options - a short route you get on at the convention center or a longer where you get on around the Midway. You can buy tickets on an app or purchase them on site. It is $9 a trip. The ferry has an outside option and an inside option. We sat on top one ride, inside the other. Super easy and convenient way to get over to.Coronado plus plenty of picture opportunities of the San Diego skyline.

Ehh it's a bit overpriced because the food is definitely not worth it but I guess for the experience to cross off your bucket list is okay. The staff is hospitable. The whole cruise is 2 hours long. Bottomless mimosas and all you can eat brunch buffet. There really isn't much to choose from at the buffet since it's so small. The food is also not that great. For that price, additional food items should be provided.

From start to finish, this whole experience was fun and leisurely. Harbor Tour Tickets are a great value for the money and the ship is fun to walk around with three levels to choose from. They have snacks and drinks with alcohol options if you want to imbibe. The ride itself is extremely smooth, which is a blessing for someone like me with motion sickness. Throughout the ride they narrate what you are seeing and discuss interesting historical facts. On our tour, we saw seals! Overall I highly recommend this tour as San Diego is so gorgeous!

While visiting San Diego we took a one-hour harbor cruise with Flagship Cruises. The staff was friendly, the ship was great, the narrator was good, and it was a fun way to spend a bit of time on the water. You get to see the skyline of downtown San Diego, a bit of Coronado, and a lot of Navy Ships.

My first time taking a harbor cruise on the Spirit of San Diego. We had some friends visiting from out of town and we decided to do something very touristy with them. It was actually a ton of fun. We booked the two hour cruise using a Groupon and got a great deal, $24 a person. Initially, though I wasn't so excited when the boat took off. The first hour was chaotic, and there was really nowhere to sit until I managed to squeeze into a couple bench seats on the top deck. Then the boat returns to the port and half the people get off and half more get on which I thought was super weird, but it ended up being great. There are three tables on the back of the boat on the middle deck that are fantastic. My friend's mom had made friends with some people sitting at one of the tables. When they disembarked, we were able to snag their table and the table next to it! The second half of the cruise was really great. We were in the back of the boat. It wasn't windy at all. We went underneath the Coronado bridge and then the sun was setting and it was absolutely spectacular. The boat itself has seen better days. It could definitely use a facelift. They've got a little bar where a gentleman can make you cocktails and serve you hotdog. There's also got bags of chips and cookies available. I got a virgin Mojito, and it was really tasty! All in all, it was really fun and absolutely worth it, even for a local. I recommend booking at the time we did if you go in the winter. 3 PM to 5 PM. The first hour is sunny and warm and the second hour is more like dusk. And then when people get up to leave, you can snag their better seats. Plus for some reason not many people booked for that 4-5 PM hour and it wasn't nearly as packed on the boat.

During the December holidays, our group of family and friends did the two-hour harbor tour. This is essentially two back-to-back one-hour loops: one North and one South. The North Harbor section was easily my favorite; it passes Point Loma and North Island, offering a stunning view of the downtown San Diego skyline. Since it was a Sunday, the naval base was quiet, but the views were still beautiful. After a quick stop to exchange passengers, we headed South under the Coronado Bridge and past the shipyards. While the sky at dusk was lovely, the shipyards weren't particularly exciting. As for the boat itself, it's a large, older vessel. Seating is limited outside. I spent half the trip standing, and the interior bathroom had a very strong, unpleasant odor. The snack bar is basic, mostly chips, candy, and drinks. If I were to do this again, I'd stick to the one-hour North Harbor tour.

Enjoyed a relaxing cruise this past week from one of the Flagship Cruises. Super stoked to try out this experience because my boyfriend and I had never explored the dock in San Diego before! We were able to walk-in and redeem a voucher to get tickets for a cruise leaving in 20 minutes. Perfect! Especially since we were going to do the 2-hour cruise and our street parking spot was max 3 hours ($2.50 each hour). We had to wait for the boat to arrive, but overall once you walk in, there are plenty of seats to choose from. The weather was beautiful so we were at the top deck, which is where you can see Rusty do his entire trip narration with a mic. Inside in the other floors you can hear his voice well with the speakers too. There's a mini counter that sells drinks and other snacks. It was pretty tempting to buy something to munch on to be honest. Overall I'm very satisfied by our trip here and found everything to go very smoothly! PS The north-side hour trip takes you past some cute sea lions! The south-side hour trip brings you past a lot of military vessels.

BRYAN, waits for cruise to begin, while SISTER IN LAW, NIECE, and PARTNER, walked to Starbucks, and down to Seaport Village.

I wanted to leave a FIVE STAR REVIEW, I DID'NT AT FIRST, BUT THEN I DID. INDEED, I initially was not going to be able to, and that was until PATTY STEPPED IN. We, my Partner and I, went on the 2 Hour TOUR, w/ my Uncle and his Husband. We were a bit UNDERWHELMED!!! As a form of compensation, we were given 2 new 2 HOUR TOUR TICKETS. We decided, after agreeing to that, that it would be better to use them for the PATRIOT TOUR, scheduled for the very next day. THANKFULLY, the TICKET OFFICE MANAGER Patty came through for us, and exchanged our tickets. We needed to find the tour with the most bookings, though, to avoid cancellation. SHE WAS VERY THOUGHTFUL TO THINK ABOUT THAT!!! We look forward to a better experience on the PATRIOT TOUR, but as a note. We have had prior Great Experiences on the Harbor Cruises!!!

We went on a dinner cruise while at a conference, and the experience was wonderful. The staff was great, and the night was beautiful for taking a cruise on the bay.

A local, family-owned and operated yacht charter, cruise and events company serving San Diego since 1915. They specialize in gourmet dinner cruises, harbor tours, patriot jet boat thrill rides, private charters, corporate events, weddings and many more special occasions. They also offer whale watching excursions December through April, and year-round ferry and water taxi service to Coronado Island and along San Diego Bay. We took the round-trip ferry from San Diego to Coronado Island. The journey was fun, and we enjoyed every moment of it! Highly recommended for family activities.

    Schedule (unreliable)
    Julianna K.

Was very excited to use the ferry as a way of reliable transportation to and from the convention center after a concert at The Rady. The website said that on select days they would run late to include the day I went to the concert and used the ferry (Jul 19). They never came back for the "select 10:25" ferry! I was stranded at the convention center! Horrible! Called customer service and they had nothing available but a good old fashioned "sorry". Sorry didn't cut the fact I was stranded in the city. Customer service said they would refund the whole trip but they hung up! They are unreliable and it's sad. Also in the past, did a dinner food cruise and the food was mid. Would not recommend and would recommend a smaller family owned company NOT flagship cruises.

Hi Paige, All tables are private.

Is there a dress code/preference for the Dinner cruise? Also, are there mobility restrictions (like going out on deck once the meal is complete?)

No dress code. It was kind of stuffy during the dining area. I dressed warm with long sleeves, closed toed shoes & a scarf and I had hot especially after wine lol…

Is the brunch cruise all inclusive? (Food, drinks, cruise)

Yes, the food, cruise and drinks (juices/endless champagne) are included. There are some additional food items that can be upgraded for an additional cost along with a cash/debit bar for all other alcohol based drinks.

We have planned a 2 hour harbour tour next weekend. What if our 2 1/2 year old won't leave his mask on?

There is plenty of space on the outside of the ship (on top, in the back and front). You could spend most of the time on the outside and without a mask should be fine (unless they've put in tighter restrictions).

What is the dress code for the prime rib dinner cruise?

Not a particular one. But defiantly black slacks for men & a dress for women. I'd say the crowd was split 50/50 on people dressing tip top shape and those who worse slacks and a summer dress.

They were all so helpful and accommodating. I cannot tell you how warm and inviting they all were. You could definitely tell they loved their jobs. For me...So, despite Dramamine and sea sickness bands I got really nauseous; and I think my 3 year old did too but couldn't verbalize, because she passed out about 1.5 hours into the trip-so I was just kind of sitting towards the back holding my toddler mid trip. Which is about the time when the whales appeared! (Up to that point we saw different birds, pods of dolphins and sea lions.) So these whales on our trip were on the starboard side when they appeared, but I was on the port side, kinda stuck sitting with my sleeping toddler. At one point Colleen came and asked if she could help me move to see the whales, but that was easier said than done, especially not feeling well. I let her know she was sweet but we were okay. Well as the boat tracked the whales, I guess Colleen and Sara both mentioned to the captain that we were kind of stuck in the back on the Port side and the captain ended up turning the boat towards the whales so I could see them. It was the sweetest thing and I felt so seen as a mama. :) I didn't know how a whale watching trip could go above and beyond, but they did! You can buy early access to the ship to pick out a good spot, or you can buy a VIP ticket to have access to your own section of the boat right up front. The things I didn't enjoy - which, honestly, I'm not sure how the crew would handle any differently than they did. Some of the people on the boat were super rude. Lots of coughing in close quarters without covering their mouths; one group of people was so hellbent on getting the perfect pictures that they all stood in front of each section of people at least once, running side to side instead of giving everyone turns. The captain did ask that everyone take turns, but the behavior stayed the same all ride. A couple of people actually stood in front of other people who remained seated, completely blocking their views. The bad: You were supposed to get there early to check in and line up, but there is nothing to do in the area, and no seating, so prepare to stand in a line for an hour if you get there right when they say to. The photo package was really expensive for what you got. 3 hours is a long time to be on a boat not learning about things - lots of lulls in programming.

We stepped onto the swift boat where staff educated us about its machine gun. And we walked through and checked out the different sections of the USS Dolphin submarine too. The HMS Surprise was a lovely ship with plenty of references to its use in films. The Star of India was like a museum all on its own, so many areas to explore and a ton of history to learn. The Californian was pretty basic, not very different from many other ships we've visited in the past. Steam Ferry Berkeley was the largest, with displays showcasing scientific instruments, model boats, artwork, the riverboats in Vietnam, the engine room, a torpedo caught by a fisherman, and a special exhibit featuring the "histories of the black pacific". There's a gift shop on site as well. Altogether, the variety of ships at the Maritime Museum made for an interesting adventure, a bit touristy, but worth the cost if you're into history or simply like boats.

Ok so I will split this into two reviews:…read more 1: the ships and actual adventure 2: the reservation process and customer service 1: booked a trip for the Spanish replica ship adventure the San Salvador and really loved it. The ticket also got you access to the other ships to walk around which was cool. But the coolest part was that San Salvador was sailed like they would have sailed it waaay back when. We got to see real rigging masts sails steering all being done by a crew and it was a totally amazing experience and such a perfect day. Bonus: we saw dolphins and it was a perfect day. Drawback: the gentlemen speaking throughout didn't talk into his mic often so missed a lot but oh well - who's really going for history?! such a good time!!. 2. I had a good with my tickets and called and tried to talk to folks in person and could never get someone. The tickets were cancelled but not refunded which was a bummer and staff in the kiosk even said they phone lines were messed up. A bummer. :(
