The post has a great bunch of people as they host many special events, including dedicated volunteers who set up buffet style food and desserts for members and non-members too. Sometimes it is even free! The only problem is most are simply unaware of what activities are scheduled. The only folks who are aware are the "regulars" who stop by the post on a regular basis. Many times the monthly calendar is posted late (many don't even know where to go to access the calendar). If there is a special event not listed on the calendar members and non members never get directly notified. The post has a massive email mailing list of folks so why not just send out a copy of the monthly calendar, along with event updates to everyone? One click does it all. The turnout would be a lot better, and the bar would get additional revenue from those who drink too. If they did that they would get five stars!!!! read more

Brad and the entire operation has such a high standard and such a positive approach to creating a healthy interactive atmosphere for veterans. Using local vendors to contribute to activities supports the community. We are very impressed with their standards. read more

Under different leadership for this past year, this place has been steadily improving. We meet there as a club, not affiliated in any way with them. They have always been friendly. Their patio is really nice, and I understand they are working on improving the inside as well. Really reasonable drinks, good people. read more

I read the terrible review by Richard G. but it makes no sense. He makes it sound like they are anti-Hispanic even though so many of the members are Hispanic! They do as required by law ask to see a VFW membership card or have some member present sign them in, unless they are having one of their many events that are open to the public. They even rent out that beautiful patio out to anyone for weddings, birthday's, etc. A wonderful fun place.
