I personally haven't held an event at this place, but when the opportunity knocks on my door, I definitely will. This review is kind of way overdue. My son and I were invited to 2 baby showers within 2 months a part. Different people. Service by the employees were impeccable. They were all nice, friendly and helpful. All ladies and gentlemen were on top of things to make sure everything was up to par. You can have any type of events from baby shower to wedding, to birthdays, baptism, to engagement parties, holiday gatherings, bridal showers and more. You can also bring your own food. I don't know if they provide that for their guests.Venue visits are by appointment only!!. They are open for Private event rentals, accommodate up to 150 guests. They also do volunteer Services to schools, libraries, churches and hospitals. As mentioned earlier each package is different with their pricing. Depending on what you are interested in. Sometimes it is even free! The only problem is most are simply unaware of what activities are scheduled. The only folks who are aware are the "regulars" who stop by the post on a regular basis. Many times the monthly calendar is posted late (many don't even know where to go to access the calendar). If there is a special event not listed on the calendar members and non members never get directly notified. The post has a massive email mailing list of folks so why not just send out a copy of the monthly calendar, along with event updates to everyone? One click does it all. The turnout would be a lot better, and the bar would get additional revenue from those who drink too. If they did that they would get five stars!!!!

I finally had a chance to visit for a Tarzana Music Night last week. What a fun event! Because the weather was being forecasted to be cool with the potential of rain, the event was held indoors. Things were comfortable, but we were in close quarters with the other attendees. The sound was great and the performances were a lot of fun. I was primarily there to see a good friend perform, but I also had the chance to see some other talented musicians. I think each one was a singer songwriter, and I enjoyed each performance. Each one of the people that was working at the venue, which I imagine may have been on a volunteer basis, was friendly and a lot of fun. Normally the music nights are held outdoors, and I can imagine that most of the year, it is a lot of fun being in the open air.

PARKING - Def uber/LYFT to them. There are only a few spots in the back you can get to from the side street (not from Ventura blvd) and thats it! So do yourself a favor and get a ride. For my wedding (6/11/16) I needed every moment to be setup with the soundtrack of my wife's and my relationship. I had very specific moods and tones I wanted for each part of the wedding. Strings for the pre-ceremony, slightly upbeat indie for the cocktail hour, slow and moody for the dinner, and full on party for open dance. I sent a list of songs I wanted played and Nguyen and Jordan were able to seamlessly fill in the rest. During the processional they didn't miss a beat with the music queues. They were able to work hand in hand with my coordinator to stick to our schedule and when it came to emcee they did so clearly and professionally. Open dance was a dream, they live mixed all the music and kept the party going until the very end. They were able to read the floor and adjust to keep the energy high and the party banging. I received many compliments from my guests noting the song selection and atmosphere created from pre-ceremony to the last song. Nguyen was always very responsive and answered all requests and questions we had. The guys from Black Book Social Club are true professionals who also know how to fuel a killer party.
