    Cherry Blossom Pinot Wine
    Emily A.

Had so much fun at last night's Painting with a Twist. The class is in a spacious room that has a little bar area at one side, and a stage at the front for the instructor to teach us. At the bar there is options to buy nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages. We opted to get the Cherry Blossom Pinot bottle to share for our table, and I must say it was a very delightful wine that tasted perfect and light to sip on while we painted. Our painting was a lion, and I must say until almost half way through I just didn't think my painting of a lion was going to look like a lion, but we trusted the process and we followed instructions which were very easy to follow step by step, and in the end we all had lions! It's so funny that despite that we all follow the same instructions, our lions all were different sizes and looks haha! Our Instructor Ellie was so upbeat and friendly and helpful! My favorite part of the night was when we had started painting in the neon yellow color, when suddenly Ellie turned off the lights! Our paintings were glowing!!!!! Such a fun surprise the whole room did a collective "Oh my gosh!" at the same time LOL. This was definitely a fun experience that I would love to attend again! I recommend the Painting with a Twist as a nice fun night out with friends, Solo, or even on a date! Next thing you know, you'll have a whole wall of paintings!

Painting with a Twist was non-stop fun and sips! Had a very happy Sunday Funday with my friend Dan for his super star-struck spectacular 60th birthday with appearances by our artist duo team Lissa and Sarahie... not to mention cameos by Brad Pitt and Michael Jackson... (see pics). I'd been to Painting with a Twist once before mostly for future inquiry and curiosity... I mean being creative and partaking in sips are two of my favorite things. We had a private room/session in back with a party of 11ish. We got to hang out and mingle before hand.. arriving early is suggested and recommended (up to 30 minutes before) so things can run smoothly as you will take breaks a few times over the course of painting your masterpiece. Bring treats to share if you'd like (Ralph's and Dollar Tree in the same lot next door). You can refreshments and partake in wine (whites, reds, chilled or room temp), beer (craft, domestic and imported), seltzers, and/or water. The selection is impressive for all offerings - Freakshow wines originally by Michael David Winery are the best and they have a couple including their Cabernet and Petite Sirah. The Cab went over well with a few on the wine guys in our group, others enjoyed a nice frosty beer. When the party settled in to paint it was Sunday Funday ease with Lissa providing perfect instructions as we painted a Wizard of OZ inspired painting. The yellow brick road and Emerald City were pretty fun to add details too as well as the grassy fields, flowers, mountains and sky. We had a pallet of colors on paper plates, a signature Painting with a Twist water cup (dip those brushes to the bottom of the cup for max rinsing), easels, canvas, two paint brushes, disposable plastic aprons and our open imagination. Sarahie super assisted and made sure everyone including Lissa had everything they needed. Paint refills will be needed. It was a three hour session (including those long beats to stretch and take a beat) that really flies by. Brad Pitt (or rather cut out B.P.) pretty much hung back as a spectator... And Michael Jackson(-Polek) sat across from me with great attention to detail. Hair dryers are available and plugged in for quick drying throughout those breaks and really work wonders. You'll have time to add personalized touches to your paintings as well. Two gender neutral restrooms for all and any to use. Easy parking in a shared lot with Anytime Fitness, restaurants and lots of other businesses. Very close to Chatsworth Station (for Metro G Orange Line, Metrolink and lots of services across the street). Q Tip: Outside snacks/food are welcome but no need to BYOB as they have plenty and it's also not allowed. For outside eats their policy is open, just make sure to bring your own napkins, plates and/or cutlery if needed. They suggest peanut free for non-private events as their public events sometimes include kids with allergies. They have weekly events where you can reserve a seat as well as request the canvas size of your choice - check out what's open on their website as well as other locations including Santa Clarita, Lakewood and Camarillo just in SoCal - more in other states (quite a few in Florida, Michigan and New York) and a few more sprinkled in other parts in California. You'll loved it!! And lastly - another Happy Birthday to Dan, thanks for letting us celebrate you!

Took my daughter to the Kpop sing along and paint. We had the best time! Instructor was fun and friendly and it was such a nice Vibe. We found our new place cant wait to be back.

My fiance and I had a great date night here with our instructor Staci! Even though we weren't the greatest painters, Staci was really kind and reassured us that we don't have to be perfect. We also made candles about 15 min before our appointment time and it was super easy! We loved picking out the scents and labeling it. We also loved the snacks and alcohol here. The alcohol really helps if you're stressing about your paint lol they brought in a new Taiwanese beer that was to die for! Contemplating having my birthday party here!

My daughter and I had such a wonderful time at tonight's class. Brand was such a nice, funny, and friendly guy. He taught us so well and made it so easy for us to follow along. We had such a fun time!! He's the best instructor we've had!! We are grateful they accommodated us with a special request we had, too. ~ Janet

Came with the girls for a Girls Night Out yesterday and had a blast! The whole experience was wonderful from start to end. Although we were allotted 2 hours for our painting project, I wish we were given a little more time since our group was socializing and enjoying ourselves during the process and I felt a bit rushed towards the end. The instructor let us stay a bit to finish our project but I'm sure they wanted to go home! This is why I didn't give full 5 stars. I love the mimosas (I'm not a wine gal), and letting us bring in our own snacks was swell! Shout out to Staci and Reina for being so kind and friendly! I cannot wait to return!

Mary is amazing!! We were a bit nervous as this was our first time doing one of these but Mary was so welcoming and made us comfortable and made it so much fun! I can't wait to go back. Highly recommend.

On a Friday night no one else booked a class except me and my friend. The instructor, Brandon, was kind enough to provide a private class to just 2 of us. We had so much fun drinking red wine while we painted a peaceful scenery. Brandon turned on some fun music and was a great teacher, showing us many helpful tricks and encouraging us as we went along. We were celebrating my friend's birthday and he allowed her to take home a pre-painted canvas of her choice as a gift! I can't wait to come back! :)

My coworkers and I had a blast! I won't give up my day job for painting, lol Ellie was an amazing instructor!

Hosted my birthday here with my closest friends and my husband, private event for 15 ppl, I 100% recommend this location! Shelly was the best at organizing everything for me, she is definitely on top of it all! Answered all my questions within a timely manner, it was easy to reach out to her via text/ phone/ email. Our instructor was the best! We honestly had an amazing time! You can bring your own food/ cake, alcoholic beverages are available upon purchase. The Jell-O shots were my favorite! Can't wait to be back in June for my daughter bday celebration!

So much fun painting with the girls the other night! The instructor and the lady assisting were so nice and helpful. The paint shop is small but fits small or big parties perfectly - great way to celebrate a bday! When you purchase wine you have to buy it by the bottle, not by the glass which is good because usually you're there with your group anyway. I think they might have had canned seltzer or beer as well but don't quote me on that. We'll be back! Thanks for having us!

My girls and I had a blast!!!! Rachel was so sweet and patient! She is very talented and we tried to follow as much as we could. This is definitely a wonderful place to visit to spend some fun times and forget about life for 2 hours! Will definitely be back!!!!

This review is looooong overdue. I've been here multiple times and have thoroughly enjoyed my experience every single time. Each one of the instructors has been fun and friendly. My most recent visit was on "family day" Sunday morning with Alexa. Let me just say she is awesome. She was kind and patient with my LOUD family. She was very accommodating asking if everyone was enjoying the music or needed any paint through the session. I wish I could remember the names other two girls who have also been there when I take my LOUD and I mean LOUD friends because they too have been great!

Super disappointed with the staff…read more This is the first time I have every written a negative Yelp Review in my 40+ years. The experience was fine, but ruined by the service. I called before booking to ask some questions. The gal on the phone kept saying all your questions are on the website and basically was rude/short and uninterested in talking to me. One question I didn't get to ask as I was rushed off the phone was could I view from a window etc... Since my group had minors, I knew an adult needed to enter as it was on the website, but we never knew if this person would be charged as they weren't going to break anything just the required supervision. Then when we arrived (check in took a long time)... I asked if I could view in some fashion for pictures and wasn't sure if they had a window to watch from as I wasn't the needed adult going in. She very rudely said "absolutely not I am going to send you out of here when they go in." "I can't believe you don't want to go in". I said I don't want to take up space, and I am not going to break anything. She said but you can go in and take pictures/videos. I said ok wow that's so nice of you (thinking she was doing us a favor) then I asked if I want to just go for a few minutes is that ok? Can I come out. She said yes of course. Never did she say by the way you will be charged for going in even if just a few minutes. The paper gown they give you to wear couldn't cost even $1. Was it out fault to not ask yes, but with her rude attitude I wasn't in the mood to talk more and I feel like she should have said you should go in to take pictures and I will need to charge you full price FYI. It is a bummer that we had to pay for my husband as a required person even thought he didn't participate...but that should have also been communicated to us. The biggest shock was when we came out to find out that we thought we were paying for 3 (minors)... $160 and our bill had all 5 of us in it. We could somewhat understand my husband (but felt he should have been told he wasn't just a supervisor, but a participant...then he could have joined in on the fun) However, bullying me to go in and not mention the fee is crazy. That was $120 more than we had planned to pay. If when I called before I booked she would have been nice and let me ask some normal questions and answered them we wouldn't have been shocked about my husband being full price. I would have known I couldn't have viewed and could have paid to go in. I would have gladly stayed in my car for 30 mins. Also, during check in we should have been told the balance of payment then so we could have made our choices prior. It definitely soured my daughter's birthday to get this large, unexpected bill. Also, they said they would send over the go pro footage but never did. My husband spent some time totally embarrassed after in front of our party goers trying to sort out my cost. After wasting a ton of time they agreed to charge $30 to cover the cost of the paper disposable jump suit (which you know cost them less then $1. ) This place is a money grab, with no customer service. Not before, not during and not after. I can't recommend this business. The kids liked the idea. It wasn't worth the cost. The items were cheap thrift store items (as they should be),...but no reason to charge full price for 2 people that weren't told they would be and didn't join in. To say it was to cover their costs of goods is ridiculous. Lastly, they had a $10 surcharge that we didn't even know about until we saw the final bill emailed to us. This place needs better billing disclosure. Don't try calling or asking questions because she will tell you over and over in an annoyed voice "it's on the website"...which it isn't all! If you aren't going in, but a driver (adult) don't bother getting out of your car or you will just waste your $. By the way the gal running the place acts like her hands are tied and she " calls someone to see what can be done"(surprise nothing can be done)... turns out she is the owner so it's just a "show".

Upon arrival, guest have literally no idea what to do when they arrive at the restaurant. No one is there to greet anyone, we were just left to wander awkwardly around. While it says the show is 7 to 10 PM we were unable to get out of there until almost 11. This really ruined our after event plans, as we had no way to gracefully leave. The show was running late (there was a big lag between the salad and entrée with no activities or instructions on what to do during that awkward lull), and when finally it was "solved" (about 10:40pm), the performers and host positioned themselves in front of the only room exit, so they could introduce cast members. And after that-then even though it was 10:45PM, while they were still blocking the exit, they opted to single out everyone who had a birthday or anniversary, and sing happy birthday not once but twice in Long form. We really wanted to leave, and it was impossible. I've been to many murder, mystery evenings, and never been to one that there were not props involved. Usually there are evidence Props placed all around the room and included on the evidence table with diagrams, etc. So it was disappointing that no real thought went into creating "evidence". For over $650 for 6 of us (we bought cocktails at the bar), and our after plans completely ruined due to us not being able to get out until almost at 11 o'clock, I probably would have given this a two star rating but the food was very good and the actors at our table were fun to be around.
