After spending almost 15 hours in A&E without being seen, a friend suggested the Vhi Swiftclinic in Swords. And thank Goodness for that. The admission fee is 125Euro, only slightly more expensive than A&E registration fee but you get seen right away.
The reception is clean and welcoming, the ladies there checked me in and asked me to take a seat in the next room. There is a water cooler and comfy couches in the waiting area and as I was just about to grab one of the glossy magazines I was already called in. A nurse examined me, took all medical details, 2 mins later a doctor introduces himself. He asks lots of questions, takes his time to examine me and finally issues a prescription and a note for work. Done and dusted in about 15mins tops.
If you consider getting treatment here, check their website first as they don't treat every kind of emergency. Their website also shows you the current waiting time in their clinics (there's another one in Dundrum) and you don't have to be a Vhi member to be treated here. Members however do get discounts/ can claim expenses back. read more
