Since the pandemic,  there are plexiglass barriers between each pair of seats. You have to tap on and tap off so it can calculate the distance.  There are 2 intermediate stops. You can use a credit card to pay (adults $12.35) or a Presto Card to pay (adults $9.25). Children 12 or younger are free. If a passenger qualifies for a disability, they would have a GO Disability sticker with their Presto Card. The disabled person pays their regular fare, but the accompanying person is free. Downsview Park Station is one of the newest stations along Line 1 on the TTC. The name is confusing…read morebecause the previous Downsview Station was renamed Sheppard West. One of the unique features about this station is that it's connected to GO Transit, which is faster and more convenient. In some instances, it can be cheaper as well. For instance, to get from Downsview Park GO to Rutherford GO, it costs $0.27 and takes less than 10 minutes. A comparable trip on the TTC (to Vaughan Metropolitan Centre) would cost $3.00 and takes about 15 minutes. I find myself here frequently because it's walking distance to Scotiabank Pond and the sports facilities in that area. It makes for a convenient detour along my daily commute. The station is very clean and bright. However, because it's a bit out of the way, there's usually no one else here. One of the downsides to taking the GO train is that there are very few seats for anyone waiting for the train. Wifi is free.

It was confusing getting picked up since I exited the station at one end while my ride was waiting at the other. I had to go down the stairs, across the station and up the stairs on the other side. The second time I was at this station was because there was an incident on the Barrie line of the GO and everyone on the morning train was required to disembark and take the subway the rest of the way. Even though there was a great deal of people all getting off the train and going into the station at the same time there weren't any issues since the station is so huge and able to accommodate all the passengers.

There's a good amount of parking outside and it's easy to find being just off Main Street. They did a great job building this facility and Niagara Falls should be very proud.

There is currently some preliminary information on display. I saw no one in the entire complex except a lone janitor desperately searching for something, anything at all, to clean. This station is still pristine with that new car smell so it will be a while before anything gets dirty. This is a small but very nice station that would make waiting for a train quite relaxing. Once the museum opens in 2017, it will offer a glimpse into the exciting history of this remarkable city that struggles to regain its footing in the 21st century.

So when my…read moreelderly father was coming to Toronto to visit for the holidays, I thought this would be the perfect gift for him. He loves old trains and murder mysteries, and I knew he'd enjoy the experience. Unfortunately we never got to have that experience. Days before we were set to go (December 14), I received an email advising that there were mechanical issues with the train and that all future services would be cancelled until further notice. I was a bit surprised because the murder mystery train was unlike the other events as it was non-moving. But I didn't know the particular issue, so I figured it was just an unfortunate situation. I don't take any stars off because of an unexpected event like this, however. The reason they get 1 star is due to the incredible poor and scam-like customer service I received after the fact. After receiving the email I wrote back and asked for a refund. I understood they had a no refunds policy if I cancelled, but this was not my doing. THEY cancelled on me. I paid over $300 for the tickets, and needed that money for my Christmas gift for my father. After a week I hadn't heard back. I figured if they had cancelled all the rides they would be busy, but I sent a follow up email after a week and asked for an update. I was simply told that because they are a small charity, they are UNABLE to give refunds and that all ticketholders would be contacted to rebook for later dates, such as their Easter train, and that any emails asking for refunds would be ignored. EXCUSE ME?! First of all, I understand you may be a small charity, but that does not mean you are legally UNABLE to give refunds. I am not asking for a DONATION to be returned, and I certainly wasn't being provided with a tax receipt. I paid for a service, and you cancelled that service. My money should be given back. I have never heard of a charity not giving money back for an event they sold tickets for and cancelled. In fact, I have purchased tickets for a charity event in the past that got cancelled due to Covid and tickets were refunded. So a blanket excuse that they're a small charity and CAN'T issue refunds is a scam. Second of all, this was a Christmas gift for an out of town guest. I do not want to rebook them for an event 4 months down the road when I don't even know if my dad will be able to come up to visit then. The fact that they bluntly stated that they won't answer any emails asking for refunds was shocking. Fortunately, I paid by credit card and was able to launch a dispute with them. It took a couple of months, but I got my money back. I never did get that email from them asking to rebook my tickets, but I suspect that could be because I got my credit card company involved. Needless to say I will NEVER be supporting this organization again, and will be spreading the word that others shouldn't either.

We booked for North Pole Express Train back in October for 7 people for the trip date of December…read more23, 2022. This cost us a total of $377.83 which is not a small amount. 3 days before the trip (On December 20, 2022), I receive an email saying that because of mechanical issues, all trips have been cancelled. That is fine since things like this happen but in the email, it is mentioned that they will rebook you for our Spring festival. The trip was booked for my family of 6 that don't live in the country but were visiting for Christmas. We can't reuse this Easter trip and they are not coming back to the country next year. I emailed them asking for a refund but I got a standard reply stating the following: "WE DO NOT ISSUE REFUNDS, as part of our terms and conditions, and any email asking for one, will not be responded to, instead a credit will be emailed to you to use to rebook in 2023." This is ridiculous. They are blatantly saying that they won't reply if we ask for a refund. I am not asking for a refund because we couldn't make it. I am asking for a refund because the organizer cancelled the event. The credit is of no use to us. This is some really shady business tactic of not issuing a refund because of their issue. I also spent money elsewhere to take my family to on the December 23rd instead. All I get is their cookie cutter response saying that they are a small registered charity, we cannot issue refunds, but will be issuing you a full credit.

In a phrase? this had all the elements of a low, low production value college pub crawl vibe! The actors were unrehearsed, dis-interested in the patrons, and the general script could have been better written by a grade five classroom without a teacher providing guidance. Honestly? I would expect this level of production from a group of students who were given the option between paying a fine and pulling off a forced production on a train they did not want to be on; in this case they chose the latter. For $75.00 what you get is one hour trapped in a railcar with a crappy sound system and even worse performers you cannot escape from. One free beverage from a very limited list of options and $3.00 worth of substandard snacks. That's it! If you want to numb the agony of what you signed up for it comes down to paying overpriced dollars for subsequent drinks in hopes of getting to the point where do don't care how terrible the show is... and perhaps you find some value in being stepped on and stumbled into by the crew. Don't waste an otherwise lovely evening on this.

Coxwell Station. It's on the Bloor-Danforth line (line 2). I have fond memories of it…read more My aunt, uncle, and cousins lived on Coxwell Avenue, a block away from this subway station. My mom and I would visit them by taking the Main 64 bus to Main Street Station, and then taking the subway a couple of stations west to Coxwell. We'd then walk south to get to their house. My orthodonist was midway between this subway station and where my cousins lived. I remember roughly half my appointment having my dad drive me over here. The other half consisted of my taking the TTC here. I had braces for three years. For a couple of summers, post-grades 7 and 8, I went to Lakeview Secondary School. I took badminton and calligraphy classes. I'd take the 501 Queen streetcar to Coxwell Avenue, and then take the Coxwell 22 bus to Felstead Avenue. I'd then walk west to school. This school ended up rebranding itself as a Catholic school. Different! This bus heads up to Coxwell station. It's the only bus that I have ever taken from this station. When I used to visit this station, it had stairs and escalators. It now has an elevator, too. I'm happy that accessibility is much improved here. It was nice to reminisce about this station recently as I travelled along line 2. I'm glad that it's still around and is much improved. (476)

We arrived at TTC College Station and it's a short walk from here to the Mattamy Athletic Centre.
