When you visit with the residents you will learn that what makes them happy is not the care they are getting but the people they call friends. They end up looking out for on another. The wellness Director does not take things seriously enough to deal with them. Instead things are blamed on the resident. To say that I am disgusted with the experience my mom has had over the last 10 months would be an understatement. Unless you have a loved who is just elderly but does everything as younger person without ANY care needs, my suggestion based on our families experience would be to look into another program. Do not let the modern building impress you. They provide less than adequate care - staffing shortages, rude dining staff, disrespectful front desk staff and a wellness director who looks like she works at a night club or lounge not like she is an LPN caring for humans. The corporate staff is not any better so there is not room for any escalation of an issue that is unresolved. Best of luck, I know the search is rough!

And it's much cheaper! And cleaner with no cockroaches!

There are a max of 6 residents and is in a good neighborhood, new & very clean and has nice enclosed backyard. My mom's advanced Alz diagnosis left us few options after 13 years of being solo caregiver, I could do it no longer. I visit regularly and always find that she's been fed, dressed and cared for. Annette, who owns it, comes by to help & to check on residents and staff. They provide safety and companionship for seniors who need assistance with food, medicine, supervision from wandering etc... I've read their department of public safety records and they have no fines or ongoing concerns. The residents are seen by their mobile physician. If you have exhausted your ability to provide round the clock care, they are a wonderful option. My mother isn't the easiest nor the hardest of elders, but she seems as happy here as she's ever been. They do celebrate residents birthdays and family ( in addition to me & mine ) are encouraged to visit. As a small home they do not have the activities that the big facilities do, but they have much better ratio of carers to residents (1:6). If you dream of a place like this, please give them a call.

The staff was very welcoming and assisted in getting him settled and helped in hooking up his electronics. The outdoor space, off the patio, was large and the grounds were well maintained. It was nice for our friend to be able to look out and have a park-like setting beyond his patio. The staff was very friendly, kind and accommodated out friend's every need. They were very professional and facilitated doctor appointments, arranged transportation and always kept us informed as to the health condition of our friend as well as the overall status of the facility. Administration personnel kept on top of monthly finances and, also, government paperwork. Our friend, also, spend some time in the skilled-nursing section and was treated with the same compassion and dedication he received in the assisted-living section. Overall, we felt confident in the care our friend received.
