As a member of VCU, my account was locked for too many attempts. When I called the bank after hours, I was told that the locked account was not the problem -- the system was down. I bank after hours and so I called again today and was told the Tech team went home and I cannot get service until Monday. Seriously? You would think that this bank with its assets and branches would hire at least one tech to work a late shift and/or weekends. Poor, poor management. It needs to update and meet the needs of its patrons. read more

I have been banking here for a couple months and have never had a negative interaction with anyone. Even over the phone the representatives are pleasant and quick to take care of whatever is needed. I've been a member for 23 years (when they were Telcom) and yet that means absolutely nothing when applying for a loan. I was given a quote for two separate loans that I only agreed to do if I was able to get the amount quoted. I repeatedly asked if this would be the amount given and I was told repeatedly YES. After the first loan closed and was ready to close on the second I was told the loan amount would be significantly less. When asked why was I told and assured differently in the beginning I was told "When she first stated we could do a 2nd mortgage, she wasn't looking at the overall ratios at that time for a loan amount." Why would you not look at all the necessary information before giving a quote? I would have never agreed to do the first loan if they were going to back out of the 2nd. They have a don't care attitude we have your money now. Will not do any future loans with them nor do I recommend them for loans. read more

Never heard a financial institution having a customer prove a closed cable account and a closed Auto lease loan was paid in full to get a refinance auto. Especially when the customer has an open active in good standing auto loan. Vibe credit union has poor lending practices and poor customer service. First time asking for a loan in over 15 years doing of business with Vibe credit union and was treated like a con artist, trying to pull a scam. I was insulted and felt demeaned by the I was treated. Believe if I wasn't African American Vibe credit union would not have asked me to provide such items, like a letter from a previous cable company I no longer do business and auto loan company I no longer have dealings. Vibe has receive enormous amounts of money from customers like myself for years off the interest from direct deposits no questions asked but Vibe underwriters can place unheard of requests on customers just to get a refinance auto loan. I will no longer do business with Vibe credit union. I will sign up with another credit union. I will get approved for a refinance auto loan and mortgage. And allow that credit union to benefit off the interest paid on the loans and the interest off of my direct deposits for many many years to come. read more

We have been with Telcom now Vibe Credit Union for about 11 years. We have our primary checking account with them along with a mortgage on our primary residence and a mortgage on our lake house on Whitmore Lake. We have direct deposit of pay checks, pay bills securely on line, have automatic payments of utility bills and mortgage payments, and have had nothing but good service and experiences with them all while having virtually no drama. This is exactly what we want from our financial institution, and that's what we get. We are totally satisfied. read more
