I admit it was my fault that I went in at the last minute for a birthday gift that was due to the upcoming Saturday and it was Thursday when I brought it she made it happen so glad I went there. to the young lady name Keke k. in regards to your review of Vicki Anton's Jewelry .... your ring from the looks of it was not sterling silver. I study metals and their purity. Sometimes customer are uneducated about the purity of metals and just because it says sterling silver does not mean that it is sterling silver through and through which is 925 Purity which is real silver. there is no such thing as cheap material when it comes to repairing jewelry. The material that you give Ms Vicki for the item that needs fixing may not have been what you were told it was when you acquired it, so it was just a misunderstanding of knowledge of metals which The average customer doesn't understand quite naturally and understandably . Silver plated is sterling silver spread on top of metal. sterling silver is 925 through the entire metal., Just like gold plated and pure gold which is either 585 14k pure gold vs plated 14k gold Is only on top of metal also., everything else under it is metal that's why overtime it turns ; causing green discoloring on the skin, if not and it says 925 and turns your skin green it could mean that you are allergic to silver or what ever pure metal is causing discoloration, check with a dermatologist to see if you're allergic to certain metals. It could be just a simple misunderstanding of that. looks like your ring was sterling silver plated and whatever repair that was done to it , it went back to the original metal due to sweating or putting your hands in water . this is just FYI try try not to bash a business until you do your research and be patient and ask your jeweler to explain what happened and why instead of getting angry and blowing up. it looks like you had the repaired item for a while then the started happening to the ring and you blow up . it started turning back to what it really was silver plated. because when they add heat to do metal it will cause the metal to go back to its original form because it was altered for repair. it eventually would've happened if you had you not altered the original making of the jewelry in question. the surface of the jewelry would have lasted a little longer because the metal was not pure but plated overlay . next time look inside of the jewelry and see if it says 925 or 999 silver, which is pure silver and not sterling silver plated . hope of educated some people on metals thank you read more
