Let me tell you why: From the very first communication, she was warm and very responsive. She worked with us on our budget and was very clear and easy to communicate with. She provided me with some smart tips before my wedding so that the group photos following the ceremony flowed smoothly and seamlessly. Where she truly shined was on my wedding day itself. I had my wedding at the Dallas Arboretum and the wedding coordinator that was assigned to me was truly awful. There were problems with the set-up that she had no intention of solving and she brought me close to tears with her rudeness 5 minutes before the guests were set arrive. Laura (who I had just met in person that day) jumped in and took charge. She cheered me up, reassured me that she would handle things and sent me off to get dressed. When I walked down the aisle, everything had been set right thanks to Laura! She truly went way above and beyond what she had been hired to do and I will be forever grateful to her that my wedding did not start off on a sour note. This is my wife's take "I am celebrating 1,000 days of breastfeeding and booked Elizabeth Boyce to create a magical shoot with my husband, son and two daughters. There were a lot of scheduling conflicts, as she is undergoing surgery and is unavailable for the next 6 weeks and I am weaning my son after this milestone due to severe arthritis in my hands. We found a date, today, that worked for our schedules. I made it clear I wanted golden hour when I booked. I woke up this morning and there were torrential rains last night, which will make it difficult to do an outdoor shoot. She discouraged me from the studio and after seeing pictures like what we get at JC Penney's I said I did not want that. I asked for a refund. She has spent the entire day arguing and refusing to give me my money back. She has offered 50% back. After fighting all morning I agreed to see if the weather cleared up. It did not. I once again asked for a full refund and she responded saying good luck, I'll issue a 50% refund and stopped answering my messages. I am devastated as $757 is a lot of $ anyways, especially for 5 images but I have been looking forward to this so much I thought the $ was worth it. She has offered an assistant to shoot instead, but then said it's not an assistant-even though that's what was said during booking, thus the rush to do the shoot on a Tuesday evening. I have bought a dress, my children clothes, a new pair of slacks for my husband. I've shown her evidence of why I didn't want an overcast shoot. She just argues and argues and argues. She claims to have been in business for 20 years but I can't imagine how if this is how she treats people. The circumstances are out of either of our control, as she is undergoing surgery and I am nursing through a great deal of pain. She has turned something beautiful into a total nightmare. Not only do I have to find someone else, but deal with the credit card company for a dispute. I don't even like leaving negative reviews! But I feel in this situation I must.". Well there it is, from my point of view. Not good.
